Delicious. I was hesitant to order the gnocchi bc someone said the portions were small. Well, they fixed it. It was more than enough and it was amazing. I also ordered the tuna tartar appetizer, and that was also really good. A great choice for Italian food in the village.

What an amazing, delicious Italian place! Went here for my birthday dinner, even the way they serve the salad it’s so nice. Great staff, very knowledgeable and friendly. What to say of the food and drinks, cooked perfectly, great presentation! Thank you

This is marketed on their website an an intimate spot, cozy and family oriented. It is a big restaurant playing club music at a very loud level. Almost surreal. Our server was great. Food was very good unti entree then failed. Worst part the owner or whoever he was held course in the corner ordering countless bottles of wine, visited by the chef for 40 minutes and the other co owner NEVER left his table. We are so sad how this turned out

Great vibe. Always busy but possibly just because of the real-estate. Second time I have eaten here. First time was good but pasta was over cooked.I had high hopes for this meal and took guests I had visiting. It was terrible.Salads were all under dressed. Two people got Spaghetti and meatballs and neither had more than a few bites. The red sauce was terrible.I had Osso Bucco. It was dry and the polenta was lumpy.Go elsewhere unless you don’t mind eating over priced Italian. This restaurant should up its game.

Very tasty food, very different style from other popular Italian places in Vail. I didn't have a reservation, so sat at the bar, but received good service. I started with the Beef Carpaccio appetizer, which included crispy fried onion bits and shaved parmesan and was delicious. For entree, I had the "Sardi al Pollo", which was (I guess) Sardi pasta -- looked like tiny gnocchi -- with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes in a creamy basil pesto sauce. Everything tasted fantastic!

Actually, I can not say if the food is good since we never got to taste it. We made a reservation over the phone, we waited for an hour outside (freezing) and when it was time to check in the hosts said we did not have a reservation. They were aggressive, rude, with a BIG attitude, and basically kicked us out without even letting us talk. We asked for the manager, waited for 15 min but she never showed up. To sum up: the restaurant seems very average but the employees have a NYC attitude and I’m sorry but they are not in New York… they got 1 star since the lady checking in the coats was really sweet. Thanks for calling the manager even if she didn’t show up :)

I was visiting the town and a friend of mine called the restaurante in front of me to book a table for me. It was 5:30 and he put the host on hold to ask me if 6:30 was okay. I said it was okay and he booked the table. I wait for an hour walking around in the cold to wait for the table because apparently in this restaurant food is great. However, we didn’t get the chance to prove it because when we arrived, the first host was rude and said that there was no reservation under my friend’s name. While I was talking to her, a second host appeared with a lot of attitude saying that she talked to my friend and that she told him that the only reservation available was at 8:30. We tried to speak to the manager and the coat check lady was kind and went to look for her and said she would come to speak with us. We wait for 20 minutes and she never showed up. Absolutely disappointed with the way they treat people.

The food was delicious, the Cacio e Pepe was true to its roots. The atmosphere is lush and the scenic views from the restaurant are unmatched. Service was incredible and the servers were knowledgeable. I can’t wait to come back.

We got lucky and got a reservation last minute. The food was pretty good aside from the lobster truffle pasta and the drinks were decent. I loved the vibe at the restaurant. Definitely coming back!

Despite the fact it's still hard to get a table, it's weird to say the quality really went down in 23/24. Four meals here have all been bad this season. Gluey, overcooked, cold pastas. Bad attitude at the hostess stand upon arrival. Lackluster table service. It's vail and I'm ok spending a small fortune on a decent dinner, but they were 0-4 this winter/spring season. Hopefully next year they manage to retain some better staff and improve the food quality and I'll be able to edit this review.

We had such a great time eating here last night! We were staying at beaver creek but my girlfriend loves Italian food and has been wanting to come here for a really long time so we drove the short 20 mins to Vail. The village has a free parking garage (after 4pm) and it's only a 3 min walk to the restaurant. As soon as you walk into La Nonna there's a coat check. From there you walk upstairs and you're greeted by what seems like your family. Everyone is so friendly and ready to make your experience amazing. Our servers name was Alena and let me tell you something... she was THE nicest, MOST helpful, MOST cheerful person you've ever met! She really did do everything she could to make sure our dinner was the best it could be. Now for dinner. To start.. for someone who's not super familiar with Italian, this menu was stressful.. You basically need a translator just to figure out what's what.. Though I can see how it would be fun and part of the experience for most people. We started off with some bread and oil (FOCACCIA del GIORNO). For my meal I ordered the TAGLIATELLE VERDI al CINGHIALE. It was really good but personally not one of my favorite dishes. I think I would have really enjoyed the GNOCCHI alla BOLOGNESE, It looked amazing! My girlfriend got the RAVIOLI TRE FUNGHI which was soooo good. For dessert we got the the chocolate mousse and the tiramisu. Both were absolutely amazing. One very important tip if you're wanting to try this restaurant.. Make reservations way ahead of time. We called a month before and they only had two times available for that day. I'm not sure if it's always like that but I can definitely see this place staying booked. The service was great, food was great, atmosphere was great, and we really enjoyed our time eating here:)

I had dinner with some friends here, the food was good, but the service felt as if they were in a rush, our reservation was at 9:15 so I know it was probably the last seating, food was good the raviolis were delicious.
