Ludwig's did not disappoint. The variety and selection of the breakfast buffet was vast and there is something for everyone. The food is absolutely delicious and the dessert selection amazing and tasty. The staff are courteous and friendly and are always at hand should you have a question or need something!

Everything tasted fresh, like it was good quality, and it was well prepared...but I don't know that Eggs Benedict is really worth $40. I did not try the buffet (because I was not that hungry), but it looked like a nice setup. If I was with a group I would come early, enjoy a leisurely breakfast/brunch, and splurge on the (kind of) pricey buffet! Oh - 3 stars for atmosphere because it looked a little dated (for people that care about that thing - although I don't).

Nestled in a pine tree forest, with its bright, airy atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to start your day. Their savory menu is simply delicious. It’s the ideal spot for a relaxing morning meal with great service and beautiful surrounding.

Food was just ok, and should have been much better at that venue and price point. Gnocchi was more like mash potato dumplings than firm pasta. Buffalo was overly salty and excessively rich in the sauce. Striped bass was a small fillet with too many added ingredients. Flavor was ok, but not up to par with 5 star rating. Scallops were more like a single scallop cut into 4 pieces, again with nothing special out of the combination of ingredients paired with it. One adult and two kids $360. Single glass of Cab and the Pellegrino was the best part of the dining experience.

This place is worth a visit for the gorgeous glass sunroom atmosphere and friendly service. Like any buffet, you need to be a little selective (I had a dried-up eggs benedict with overdone egg), but overall, the food was good. Coffee is excellent. The selection of pastries and toppings for belgian waffles was extensive. My son and husband liked the chorizo empanadas.

Great selection of food and great service. Their fresh juices were top notch. It was pretty expensive but the quality of the food plus variety made it worth it! Went around 1000 on a Tuesday and got seated immediately.

Came here for brunch and was so impressed with the selection, quality of the items, and the notation of numerous gluten free options. Our server Mary was exceptional! She helped answer my many questions about the ingredient due to my dietary restrictions and was so friendly! The views of the greenhouse overlooking the pool and gorgeous snow made everything complete. Thank you for an amazing brunch experience!Dietary restrictions: Had plenty of GF and dairy free options!

Several hairs in our food, management seemed to ignore our concern. We left quite disappointed after spending over 1,000

Went for the Thanksgiving buffet and we were left fairly disappointed. The food was quite good but the service was not at all. For $120.00 per person, we did expect a higher quality service. There were multiple mistakes with drinks and a mistake on the bill, and it took a fairly long time for plates to be cleared from the table. We also found the atmosphere to be lacking for this caliber dinner.

Food was great, selection was on point for a buffet, fresh and yummy! Service was pretty spotty, had to keep asking from whoever was available for items for our table.

We did not dine here after all. We had wanted to order off the menu for breakfast and they were only offering a brunch buffet at $46 per person. No where in the Open Table app or on the Ludwig's website or menu did it say we could only eat from the buffet. The menu has an incredible selection of breakfast entrees. We were disappointed.

Ludwig's breakfast...so every morning another line to get into Ludwig's when it just opens for breakfast? Surely they need to be more organized that they can get people in to eat quicker than a 10 min wait to get in an empty restaurant., as I left another line, why does it take 5-10 mins to be seated when the dining room is a quarter full. IDK why all the fuss on the Ludwig's breakfast - seriously it's the same as many other breakfast buffets at half the price of Ludwig's $38 breakfast. With all the hype and outstanding reviews I was expecting something truly inspiring; anticipating a Disney Word class breakfast buffet - NOT! Just the same standard fare. I arrived first thing in the morning hoping to get freshly cooked food but it was the standard fare cooked hours before and just sitting there drying out before the restaurant opened - not fresh but dried out & luke-warm. So my best hope was the omelet /egg station as I was sure to get freshly cooked , steaming hot food; however the cook was new, in training with his trainer to his side. After 5 days he was still over-cooking the omelets to a brown colour. Idea -instead of having all the cooked food (sausages, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, potatoes, quiche) out when the restaurant opens, how about bringing freshly cooked food during the first ten minutes so guests can get their drinks, pastries, cold-cuts, yogurt, cereal …then the freshly cooked food as it comes out? Why as a hotel guest do we need reservations for breakfast other than there are not enough tables for all the hotel guest's so they have to space them out with reservations? BIG ISSUE – what is with the culinary fee for an ALREADY PAID (breakfast ($38) included) in the hotel rate - it's not about the cost it's about the annoyance of another taste-less fee add-on. I was once impressed with Ludwig's for dinner but no chance of that as they're now closed for dinner for the season. Yet they're open for one $260 Taste of Vail winemaker dinner, and my Ludwig's breakfast buffet is closed on Sunday so that they can have an $120 adults Easter Sunday brunch -priorities!? And so Sunday we were relegated to the Bully ranch restaurant for a substandard breakfast which was a less than worthy replacement, as half the buffet was offered without the egg chef over-cooking my omelet. Like I said their focus is on making money and not prioritizing hotel guest customer satisfaction. Poor value - not worth $38, Poor customer satisfaction - average pre-cooked food, and you can’t justify the poor customer care by valuing your special events over your guests, nor the extra charges included that offer no more value i.e. the culinary fee for an already paid breakfast, and the poorly trained staff. Make note this is not a World class breakfast buffet but moderate effort in providing average precooked food not a culinary festival of flavours.. Here again, I have to wonder about all the 5-star reviews and their authenticity / their criteria? Now as a reference the WDW hotels have got the recipe down on impressive breakfast buffets.
