Excellent experience. I had the fish, it was like Arctic char, but had a different name. Very tasty. Also had an artichoke salad that was unique and excellent. Then they served strawberry cotton candy with chocolates! Then I had the three sorbets, with fruit. I got there early, so the atmosphere was quiet. The people were super friendly, including hostess, waiters,etc. Outside the restaurant is a piano bar, that was casual and cozy. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent experience. We did not stayed at Ludwigs hotel but were happy that chose this restaurant. Nice atmosphere, delicious food and Philip and Stephan were super professional serving us.

The Stüberl at Ludwig's has for years been one of our favorite places to dine in Vail. The classic, elegant Austrian dining room provides a wonderful ambience. The staff is very attentive. The menu is short but the choices are all good. The 63-degree egg and frisée salad is unique and highly recommended. The chocolate dessert has been refreshed and is much improved The main courses offer a nice selection of beef, lamb, fish and poultry, all very nicely prepared, seasoned and presented. One of the best places for an upscale and romantic dining occasion.

Would highly recommend! The staff was very kind and service was TopNotch. Our waitress, Francesca, could not have been nicer. Recommendations were spot on as well. Although the menu is limited, all of our food choices were amazing! We'll definitely be back!

Food and service were outstanding! Our meal was perfectly prepared in every respect. All dishes were well composed and plated. Atmosphere was a bit lacking, especially early in the evening, but the quality of the food made up for this. We would definitely return.
We had a great birthday celebration for one member of our group. The service was great and not overbearing. The wine list is large and diverse. The lamb carpaccio was super and the Dover sole sublime. When we make our next trip to Bail we will make sure to return.

Extraordinary food and service. I have a lot of allergies, including nuts and gluten, and they were amazing accommodating me. Had the hamachi appetizer and the flavors were so amazing and robust. Had the artic char, which was light and incredible. Highly recommend.
I went to this restaurant on my final night at vail. It was a lovely experience, and I had the best venison & mulled wine of my life. The service was top-notch too and it had a very warm yet refined ambiance.I will absolutely come here again on my next trip to vail.

Ludwig's is a real gem. All the dishes we ordered were perfectly prepared, with a creative and exquisite blend of flavors and textures. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable. We'll definitely come back!

We had a poor and frustrating experience. I felt we were treated as though we were second class citizens. Our table was in a drab isolated spot, like a hallway, next to a grandly decorated room That was full. Yes, it was full as in no more room but they could have had some other people seated near us in the hallway. It felt like we were in detention or something. Yes, I was going to suggest we sit somewhere else but thought" oh well" more people must be arriving soon-they wouldn't just put us in here alone. If it were a nicely decorated romantic area- That would have been great. But It was very much not. They forgot about us several times. I actually had to get up from my chair find the waitress to ask for more water and drinks. I know what the kitchen looks like. That was not to only time we were forgotten. I know staying in Vail and dinner is not cheep, good service is always expected . We had some really, really great dining experiences during our stay. This was not a great way to end our trip.

Exceptional breakfast - one of the best buffets we’ve had anywhere, with optional customized eggs. Many fresh and healthy items, along with more traditional items. Staff is exceptional - professional and friendly - lovely team!

What a wonderful and whimsical experience. The hotel is enchanting, the decor was festive and elegantly done. The buffet was wonderful, it looked like a work of art. We enjoyed seeing all the handmade gingerbread houses. There was something to everyone's taste. We sat in the atrium, it was nice to have some daylight to take in the architecture and spa area. The service was stellar. Truly a unique and memorable experience!
