Our dinner at Tavernetta in Vail was absolutely exceptional. The moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm, elegant atmosphere and the beautiful setting. It’s the perfect place for a special night out.
The service was top-notch — attentive, professional, and truly welcoming. The staff made sure every detail was perfect, and their recommendations were amazing.
The food was beyond incredible. Every dish was rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can taste the quality and passion in every bite. The combination of delicious cuisine, amazing service, and the cozy upscale environment made the entire experience unforgettable.
If you are visiting Vail, Tavernetta is a must-try. It’s one of the places that stays in your memory long after you leave. We had a fantastic time and would 100% come back again!

As huge fans of Fresca, we were thrilled to learn the connection to Tavernetta in our home town in Vail. We could not have been any more disappointed. Hard to even imagine these two restaurants are even remotely related.
While walking through town, my wife and I decided to stop in and see if they could fit us in at the bar without a reservation as it was the slow season. The bar was currently full but we were told it would be 10-15 minutes an took my number to text when two seats opened. We went upstairs for a drink. 50 minutes later I went downstairs to the restaurant to check on our waitlist only to find a completely empty bar. The hostess said she was just about to text us letting us know there was now room. 🙄
We sat down as the only two at the bar and watched two people at the bar with their backs turned to us socializing. After 15 minutes, one of the bartenders turned around and asked if we wanted to see menus and slid 2 towards us. After 20 more minutes of being ignored, we left. They didn’t even take our drink order.
On our way out I give a manager credit. He saw us walk out and asked what he could do and implored us to stay so he could make it right. This was appreciated but we were just so upset that this restaurant wasted an hour and a half of our night we thought it was just best to leave.
Unfortunately for Tavernetta, we are local, and like most, have frequent visitors. We will not be shy about our first and only experience there.

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in the entire valley! It is now where we spend our birthdays, I take people for work dinners, we even decided to eat dinner here the night of our wedding. The staff is extremely nice and the food is delicious every. single. time. Consistency is a big thing here in the valley that you don’t typically get, and Tavernetta always delivers!

I sat at the bar with Kristen as my guide thru a divine culinary and wine experience. The New York steak called Manzo, with special local grown squash and a burgundy truffle sauce was delightful. The Tuscan Podere Sapaio wine was served at a perfect temperature. Don’t forget to try the pana cotta for dessert, it will not disappoint. Service at the bar with Kristen was 5 star! I will be back. Four Seasons needed this place.

Love every minute of it. We had the best waiter and team helping us with the kids meals coming out first and guiding us to the best meal! Salad was so big and crunchy and delicious. I started with the Cassini cocktail 🍹 (rum, passionfruit, lemon), bright and refreshing. We shared: 🍞 Focaccia 🧀 Burrata
For mains, we tried: 🍝 Cavatelli Nero 🍝 Rigatoni 🍚 Risotto 🐟 Ippoglosso in Saor (halibut)
Finished with ☕ espresso and 🍰 Torta di Carote. Every dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. Great food, great service, definitely a must-visit in Vail.
