Great stop off spot for food and beer. I was surprised at how big and good the chilli dog was. Flame grilled and served hot. Outdoor seating only, but in a well sheltered location so no wind. All in all, a great spot for great hot dogs and brats.

Great food. There was a long line and an angry lady named Karen (gave her name so it could be called out when her order was ready) just grabbed someone else's order. This caused confusion for the next few orders. Many customers were upset about Karen taking the wrong order and were lamenting on her abrasive attitude and lack of respect for others. These customers were from all over the world and each went home and told their friends and family of this experience and that is how we have the term "Karen." This should be a historical landmark of how we gained a new term. Also saw a man skiing and eating one of these dawgs wearing a full length fur coat.

It's a hotdog stand...
This place always runs out of hotdogs or buns all the time. It is always full, I do not understand how they cannot organize to have enough food. ??My two stars are because they sell beer. #Vail
Not sure what was going on behind the counter today but it was so hectic and yet slow, seemed sort of like Charlie Kelly in the mailroom trying to find Pepe Silvia. Maybe the two people working there were thrown into the role today without any prior experience. Whatever the reason, we waited in a 45-minute line for a very very simple hot dog. Not to mention, after being there for an hour, they announced they were all out of hot dogs and people went crazy. Two stars because at least you didn’t need a reservation, and they have picnic tables so half of us were able to rest while the other half waited in line. Dogs were good but certainly not worth $12.
What a sweet spot to rest, recharge, and/or wait for your crew before going back frontside after carving up Blue Sky Basin!!!

A microcosm of the 'Vail - truckstop' vibe, The Dawg House sits at the base of Pete's Express in Blue Sky Basin, right along the cat trail. Serving a variety of foods and drinks, they're known for the chili on top of a hot dog. Benches make a nice chill spot but it can get busy and items will run out.
Larger than expected hotdogs, chillidawg is amazing. Drinks and microbrews available here too
Nice little spot. Service a little intense. And they always run out of items. But nice spot!
