Tends to be really busy on weekends as it is a common stopping point on the way in and out of the bowls/blue sky basin, but it has your standard lodge food. A good spot to go on the really cold days when you just need to warm up.

The veggie chili is very yummy and filling after a morning of skiing. Can add corn, onions, and hot sauce. They used to serve it over a baked potato too but sadly not anymore. There is also a quinoa/bean burger, but unknown if this is vegan. Items are only listed as vegetarian on the menu. They also sell bobo’s bars and a few other vegan snacks if you look.

2 Elks is the perfect spot to take a break from skiing. The views are breathtaking! Service is fast. I never used to mind paying too much up here but now the food quality has really dropped. I just paid $22 for a bowl of vegetarian chili, that's with my pass discount. It should have been $12.50 which is still outrageous, but when I questioned it, the sales associate refused to back down. Unfortunately it's just a tomato based vegetable soup. Likely 25 cents worth of ingredients: onion, corn, beans, tomato sauce. There is no chili flavor at all. Guys, where are the poblanos, the hatch, the fire roasting, the tomato chunks, the cumin, coriander? They used to have the most delicious chili!
And it comes with cornbread which used to be a large slab of warm, moist whole grain corn bread with bits of corn. Now it's a tiny square of cold dry refined flour something like a boxed muffin mix.
Last week my son got the burger which used to be epic, literally the Epic burger, double stacked, juicy with great sauce and a toasted brioche bun. Now it's a basic burger but still costs $22!
I will still come here but I have to bring my own food if it's going to be like this! I'd like to pay you guys and help keep the place up, but I can't choke down flavorless soup and instant muffin mix

Two Elk Lodge at Vail, Colorado, is an absolute must-visit! The breathtaking mountain views are incredible, and the lodge itself is the perfect spot to take a break. We grabbed chicken nuggets and some snacks, and it was exactly what we needed to refuel and relax. The lodge offers plenty of seating, clean and convenient bathrooms, and an overall cozy atmosphere. It’s the ideal place to rest and soak in the amazing scenery. Highly recommend stopping by when you’re on the mountain!

Disaster if you have any dietary restrictions. They won’t change or substitute any ingredients and almost every option has dairy, gluten, animal products, or seasoning.

Food options are awful. Everything is prepackaged in plastic.

Huge eating space with fact service. There is a bar but not to sit at. Of it had a proper sports bar then that would make it much better.

Great views and good food.
Took a break from skiing and had some chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were juicy and good. The fries were a little dry for my liking but with enough ketchup they were fine.
The tray drop off area is great so you don’t have to navigate the space for a garbage can.
The two bathrooms help with the large space and the number of people this place can hold.
If you have a large group of people there are tables to accommodate you but get there early they fill up fast.

This is a review for the German-inspired beer hall in the Two Elk Lodge.I was very disappointed with the service at the beer hall. Specifically, the bartenders were misidentifying the Weihenstephan beer they had on tap on 3/30/24. The bartender was telling people that the beer was a lager. I ordered one and tasted it, and the beer was most definitely the wheat beer, the Weihenstephaner Hefeweißbier. For context, I am a super fan of this beer specifically. I always seek it out and am always surprised whenever I see it on tap or in the 1L bottles. So suffice to say I was ecstatic when I saw a Weihenstephan beer on tap at Vail. Even if they had been serving the lager, which isn't my favorite, it still would've been very impressive to have it imported and on tap.Let me be clear, I am still very happy that the Weihenstephaner Hefeweißbier was on tap. My issue is with the disregard for the beer from the servers. I think the most basic requirement is that they should know what beer they are serving and correctly inform customers of the thing they are ordering. I'm also deeply motivated to make this review because I think the owner/operational manager for the Two Elk Lodge should be more aware of how their servers are serving the beer that someone surely put a lot of effort into sourcing and importing. I'm sure they are either 1) German or 2) a German beer enthusiast, and they would be disappointed to hear that their servers are not even advertising the beer correctly. I do hope that the Two Elk Lodge improves on this in the future.

Came in at 2:50 went into the food court and saw 30-40 meals pre prepared and out. Didn’t want anything but came back at 2:58 asking if they were throwing them away and yes all that food wasted. Vail says zero waste by 2030. Sure are doing a swell job vail smh

"Disappointing experience at Two Elk Lodge. The overpriced bratwurst lacked flavor, making it an unappealing choice. I expected better quality for the cost."

Despite its picturesque Swiss-style ambiance, the food at this lodge falls flat. Overpriced and underwhelming, the bratwurst is particularly awful—avoid it at all costs. Save yourself the disappointment and dine elsewhere.

We brought our own food! Thank you for such a gorgeous building and view to eat and enjoy!

If you think Vail it’s magic. Stop dreaming, vail it’s how we can take advantage of you pocket al the time. Here it’s burger with Fries +30 usd after tax, chicken fingers +25 usd after tax, ONE SLICE PIZZA +27 after tax. It’s not only the price it’s the low quality food. And not only that the service it’s so bad some of the people working does not speak the lenguaje because the hire foreing (to pay less) I don’t have nothing with foreing because in one of them. VAIL ITS REAL THIEVES.
