Nice location on the creek, food and service just mediocre. But probably still a pretty good place in Vail, where good restaurants are difficult to find.
Exactly what we were looking for in our dining experience - food and service were top notch!
Service was great. Friendly staff. Quick, but not too quick of service. Comfortable. Food was very good. The short ribs were amazing!
This was our second time dining at Up The Creek and our experience was different than the first time. The manager and wait staff were great but the food quality had decreased. The brussels sprouts were not crispy but wilted, the Fried Brie had little to no cheese in it, and the chicken on salad was very dry. The Braised Short Rib was good, but the Mac & Cheese was oily and the asparagus not fresh. Maybe we just went on a bad night, but we had higher expectations given our first experience was amazing.
Ambiance pleasant.Server placed our drinks and food to wrong person. Salmon glaze and sweet mash tasty but mash was room temperature. Brussel sprouts horribly dried room temperature and looked day old . Chef should have been ashamed to serve the dish.

Great views by the creek and one of our best meals in Vail!

After an unexpectedly long hike, needed a quick and simple meal to get back on the road. I was more than satisfied here! Cannot go wrong with their chicken sandwich. My wife loved her kiwi strawberry salad, very fresh. Quiet ona weekday and the creek made it very relaxing. Would come back!

I’ve been wanting to come here for years but it never seemed like the best choice with my kids. I am glad I trusted my instincts. The food was good but not something I would pay $25-40 for my kids to experience. The best part was the coconut shrimp, I think.

I specifically asked for clarification on desserts with NO NUTS since they have ZERO allergy warnings on their foods about nuts. They told me the flourless cake had no nuts. Three bites in I crunched into a PECAN. Luckily for them, I simply avoid nuts since my husband is highly allergic. He was there with me and if he had gotten that dessert we would've had to spend the night in the hospital due to their negligence.
Dietary restrictions: Very negligent on allergy warnings and knowing what is in their foods. Hopefully no one dies due to their oversights.
We stopped in for a few cocktails after a long day of hiking and had a very pleasant experience. From the greetings on the way in to the thank you on the way out, the atmosphere was very friendly. We sat at the bar and had great cocktails served by very friendly and chatty bar staff. We will definitely come back for dinner next time we are in Vail.

Food was good for lunch and the service was friendly. It is a great location and environment sitting outside by the creek.

We had a dinner reservation for Tuesday night (9/17/24). It turned out that the reservation was not necessary. The restaurant was pretty empty. We could pick a table. Food was good. We had the chicken tortilla soup (which was a lot of chicken and not a lot of soup), the braised short ribs and the trout. We enjoyed the hazy IPA they had on draft. The price was a liitle bit though. Service was good and friendly.
