We haven't been to Up the Creek in years. That was a big mistake. Our dinner was fabulous. We are in Vail a lot and eat at all of the restaurants in the valley. Up the Creek is one of the best in Vail.

We've been to the restaurant many times over the years and always had a great experience. This time, not so much. There were way too many misbehaving kids making too much noise to have an enjoyable time. I can't blame the restaurant but would recommend that there be an area or time for just adults.

Arugula salad and braised short rib were so delicious! Fresh greens, pears, cranberries, candied nuts and goat cheese was so good. The short rib was so tender and the Mac/cheese it Sat upon was the best we have ever tasted! Oh...the clam chowder was also fantastic!

When booking a table, make sure you ask for their quiet side of the creek. Waitress fell to tell us the specials and took our order. Disappointed when we heard the specials announced to be adjoining table. We enjoyed our food and when we finally were seated at a quiet table Creek, we enjoyed the atmosphere.

A table on the patio was ready when we arrived with our little dog. Thank you! The food and service were wonderful.

This is our go-to in Vail. We love it and the menu and wine list are great (we had a Colorado Zinfandel which was very drinkable). In our experience it has never been a struggle to get a table unlike other restaurants in the same vicinity. You can sit outside right on Gore Creek.

Up The Creek is one of my favorite places to eat in Vail. It is situated right on Gore Creek, and the location is beautiful. The food is always good, and the service is excellent. If possible, sit outside on the water. Beautiful!

My friend ordered a chicken sandwich with just lettuce. After 3 attempts to get it right, she ended up with just a piece of lettuce and a chicken breast, no bun. She gave up and ate it. The Reuben is still very good. I visit this restaurant often and was very embarrassed to have brought my friends there.

Nice place and atmosphere near the river. Didn't seem to be enough servers which resulted in Slow service and an overall lack of attentiveness. Food was just ok - nothing to write home about. Price was not cheap but probably average for the area.

We were a party of 4 and enjoyed our evening at the restaurant. Three of us had the ruby trout which was very good. My sister ordered the lamb with a mushroom risotto which was also very good. We had peach cobbler for dessert and it was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive. The restaurant was on the Gore River which made for a very pleasant and relaxing setting.

We have been fans of up the creek for a long time. On this evening, we had to wait to be seated (even with a reservation). There seemed to be confusion about who should be seated where. Our food was delicious and we were lucky to land an outside table on a beautiful night- a bit cramped but worth it. Service was a bit uneven, but overall the meal was a good experience.

Can’t go wrong with a table beside a Colorado river! Service was great and the food was even better. Highly recommend!

Awesome restaurant! It's in a nice location right next to the creek so I'd highly recommend getting a table outdoors. We got the coconut shrimp, the UT burger and the fettuccine and it was delicious.
