More like a steakhouse in “small city Midwest” than Vail. Server wanted us to order before drinks even came; $29 martini was a bit steep. Food was very good and food prices comparable to other place but the atmosphere and vibe wasn't what we had hoped for.

Really enjoyed our first visit to the Chophouse. Outside dining was delightful. Food and service were both excellent and the prices were very reasonable for a high end Vail eatery. Definitely recommend.

We were seated on time for our reservation, and weren't spoken to again. The restaurant was busy but not overly. I cannot even comment on the food as we didn't even get a glass of water before leaving. 40 minutes of my life wasted.

Disappointed in the fried chicken dish. If you're expecting “fried chicken” that is crispy. This is not for you. It's very lightly battered, no crunch, and the piece of chicken is pretty thick. My family did not enjoy their steak either. The Brussel sprouts were very good though.

Phil is the best!!!!

Patio seating had the most amazing views!! On top of that, the food matched the quality of the location. I also appreciated that they had a kids menu. The family is still talking about how good it was.

You can’t beat the views! Had an 830pm reservation and watched the fireworks.

Food varied. Lobster Mac and cheese was very good with TONS of lobster.

The crispy chicken was dry and needed more flavor or gravy, waitress said she couldn’t provide more gravy because the kitchen was closing soon and they would have to make a whole new batch just for me

Salmon great.

Crabcakes ok, on the small side

Drinks were strong and good.

Hard to say overpriced, you’re sitting 50 feet from the gondola at one of the premier resorts in the region

Service was generally rushed and impersonal. Menu snatched from us, no smile from the waitress. Tried to get us done ASAP and bill brought quickly. Had to beg for a coffee and was advised it wasn’t very good when I asked pretty please. Then told it was the last cup and don’t ask for more.

Even with a reservation, hostess was annoyed to sit us. Patio was packed and we were forced to sit inside. Once seated it took 16 minutes for someone to great us. We almost left. Ordered sea bass and it was under cooked. Also, ran out of beverages during dinner and could not get another round. Wanted to give them more money and business but we were not treated as a costumer.

We walked out before we got our drinks. The bartender was immediately rude, which we thought we would ignore and hope for better. He then didn't know a basic cocktails (French martini) and gave me a rude response when I asked what he put in his Manhattan. He said, “you made one before...well that's what's in it!” As we walked out the manager came to apologize after witnessing the exchange. Awful service and sad cocktail skills.

Had a 7pm reservation and got sat right away but then took 20 mins for a server to come over. Apps came out before the drinks. Overall the service was pretty bad and steak was over cooked for my one of my guests. Not the best experience I have ever had for a $1200 dinner.

Everyone was very happy with their meals. We enjoyed the sea bass, French onion soup, steak, chicken lollipop, and the spinach artichoke dip. The winner at the table was the sea bass with the steak coming in a close second. The bartender was busy but kept up with the drink orders and loved that it was busy and had a good vibe. The employees seem to all enjoy working there.

Ordered my favorite cut of meat. It had good flavor, but was very chewy. Too much money for a bad cut of meat.

Our service was great! It wasn't very busy but it was off season. We ordered 2 steaks, a filet and New York strip, both cooked to medium. The filet was cooked well but the New York strip was very rare. The waitress asked how our meals were and noticed it wasn't cooked to medium, we asked for it to be put back on the grill. It came back almost the same, rare. The waitress told the manager and she came over. She was also very nice, she offered a new steak or another side. We had our 2 little kids with us so we couldn't stay much longer, we said it was fine. We also had the lobster Mac and cheese and it wasn't great, kinda fishy. When we got the bill, they had taken off the steak and our drinks. We were surprised! Even though it wasn't the best meal, we had really good service. It might have just been an off night with the chef.

Vail Chophouse is just a great place to eat a good steak and be pampered by the staff. They make it such a good experience for me.
