George's is just one of those places that's hard to beat. I usually stop when I'm by myself but have also brought my family, and they love it as well. The smothered chili burger with green is my go-to plate. The jumbo cheeseburgers don't get much better. I go at 1 pm or later because the lunch hour is always super busy. Today at 1 pm, I had to wait for a seat. Orders are always taken pretty quickly, and it never takes more than 15 minutes to get your food. Staff is always friendly. The soft serve ice cream is always a hit.

OK, 5 Stars for sure! Stopped here for lunch on our way down to ride the Cumbres-Toltec Scenic Railway, and it was so darn delicious that we stopped here again on our way back to Colorado Springs. Honestly, no wonder the locals love the food here and it has been a local staple for 50 years. Exceptional and fast customer service, best homemade food, and special orders do not upset them. 5 Thumbs Up for George's Cafe!
