Honestly HORRIBLE I don't understand how they can say it's Mexican food when it's not even 1%, it's an invention of someone trying to sell Mexican food that has nothing to do with it, NASTY Chicharrón burrito Chicharrón from a bag already EXPIRED and chewy NO NATURAL PORK CHICHARON BECAUSE THIS IS MEXICAN AND MORE STEWED NOT JUST TAKE IT OUT OF THE BAG AND PUT IT ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN OF BEANS BECAUSE I DIDN'T ORDER BEANS CHICHARRON WAS INVERTED, very precarious place, very precarious menu 🤷 IF YOU'RE REALLY GOING TO DO SOMETHING YOU MUST PUT EFFORTS AND MORE IF IT IS VERY NASTY FOOD THE FOOD VERY PRECARIOUS IN EVERYTHING (FLAVOR, QUALITY ETC) I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PLACE FOR BAD FOOD THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE.

Idk what happened to this spot. Been a couple years since frequenting Big Mamas, but this was the last visit for me. Disappointing from the moment I stepped inside and was not even greeted by human behind the counter, and felt like my business was unwanted by her expression. She was plain rude. $20 for 2 handheld burritos that were both cold and flavorless, neither of us ate much of them.

This place is trash! The whole place is filthy and disgusting. It was no surprise that the breakfast burrito followed suit. I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito with hot green chili. Their chili was so hot, my mouth was burning the second it touched my lips. I am no stranger to spicy food. I always order hot green chili and extra spicy Indian and Thai food. The green chili was not flavorful. It was just spicy AF!
If that was the only issue, I would’ve gotten through it, but the meat tasted rancid. I don’t know what kind of potatoes they use. They were big chunks of what seemed to be boiled potatoes with lots of butter on them there were hardly any eggs nor cheese. The whole burrito tasted like it had been cooked on a dirty greasy cooktop. I paid $15 for a breakfast burrito and fountain drink and ended up throwing the burrito in the trash after three bites. The burrito literally made me gag. It was so disgusting. Hopefully I don’t get food poisoning!
Here’s the caveat, I used to love this place. Their burritos were so delicious. Now, I will never go back.

Used to come here often it’s been a while since we have eaten there went there and was very disappointed for one the price was unbelievable two smothered burritos and small chili fries over $40 ordered hot chili but it wasn’t hot at all and very little flavor won’t be back unfortunately we used to like this place

Got a breakfast burrito no meat. Bean and cheese smothered came up to 12 something.coo. I was excited at how huge the $2 breakfast burrito was! being the first time. But potatoes were very babyfoodish which I am not a fan of and green chili was not hot. Bean and cheese, meh like it all came out of a can. Im always looking for authentic when im on the north side. not fraudulent smh overall great customer service but it stank like an old moldy mop when I walked in the door....

Ordered a bacon breakfast burrito 1/2 & 1/2 chile, side of fries, and a dr pepper paid $20.... not worth it. Chile had no flavor and no spice. Fries were warm and tasty. Wont go back
Got the shredded beef burrito with cheese beans and rice. I devoured it. Soo good. I should have just stuck with the hot green chilli. I got half hot half mild. I would just eat a plate of the rice and beans from here. Place is fire
People working here are also very nice.
