“We happened upon this one of a kind gem of a family Cafe by accident, but we will absolutely be back anytime we are in the area again. My wife and I had been to a concert (My Chemical Romance) the night before and up very late, searching for breakfast places nearby the next morning and Westys easily was the obvious choice. Somehow I just had a feeling that Westys would be great. When we arrived we were promptly greeted, watered and coffee'd; and probably the best host I've ever had, Frankie, began to do what I would say he does best, being a friendly, welcoming, genuine person! I had some questions about items on the menu and asked if the restaurant had Greek heritage somehow tied in and Frankie proudly spoke about how his family runs Westys and his family owns the area it is at also. I can not speak enough about Frankie. He was so friendly, so GENUINE, so knowledgeable, Frankie is a true on in 7 billion kind of person. Watching him with other customers and seeing the excitement from the to see him, its just so humbling. Frankie deserves every bit of all the great things he gets in life. Now, the food. It was amazing! Great flavor, great portions, very creative, very much made with love. I had the meat skillet with gyro meat added with pita and handmade tzatziki. My wife had a gyro and fries, DELICIOUS SO DELICIOUS! Frankie being the nice guy he is, offered handmade green chili to have with our breakfast and matching the rest of this review it, was nothing short of FANTASTIC! The coffee was great even! I am so thankful for family cafes like this one, please go support them, please be nice while you are there, please enjoy their craft. WESTYS IS AMAZING!”

“My boyfriend and I came for the first time and we absolutely loved everything. We were visiting from Charleston, SC. We started with house bread (rye) with butter. Then we got the Cracovia dinner for two. Let's just say I could drink up the mushroom sauce for the stuffed cabbage rolls. Everything was so delicious and we definitely will be back when we revisit Colorado. Also, we loved our waitress too.”

“We received a gift card from a family member at Christmas and decided to use it on a Saturday night in January. The restaurant was packed but there was seating in the bar area, so we decided, what the heck(!) and went to the bar. Once seated we were greeted with the friendliest bar staff, Marissa and Tiernan. We wanted a glass of red and Marissa recommended the Porta Vita Italia. It is a delicious bargain and we were so impressed (and now hooked!). Our food was and continues to be great, as now we have become Saturday night regulars! We are Italian and honestly did not think we could get a traditional and tasty meal at a chain. Marissa and Tiernan, thank you for the excellent, friendly customer service and sweetness. You both are classy, sassy and super bad-**sy! We always look forward to our Saturday nights hanging with you both! See you next time, Cheers!”

“PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE! Jay the manager was so well prepared to share history, chef details and menu choices. Viviana our waitress was honestly, one of the most exceptional waitresses we’ve ever had. The tortilla soup was filled with so many delicious ingredients, perfectly balanced spices, and the presentation was perfect. The taco selections were glorious. Crispy exterior corn tortillas, rich with flavors inside! Tender beef, chicken, savory cheese selections. Truly Baja style tacos!!! The churros were stellar. Homemade vanilla enhanced batter, perfectly fried… premium cinnamon and sugar lightly dusted outside, served with warm carmel and chocolate sauces. This place is the most hidden, beautiful gem in the North Thornton/ Westminster/Northglenn area. Gorgeous Interior and seating areas. Very upscale feeling. Perfect meal.”

I called and shared my issue with Mike with one of our meals and he went above and beyond. Just another reason why we love eating at this restaurant, and why we will continue to return. “Wonderfully little mom and pop Cantonese BBQ spot. I prefer this place over takeaway American Chinese food when I'm hungry in a pinch. I like the Char Shu, Roast Pork, Soy Sauce Chicken, and Spicy Tofu. The owners are very nice, work hard, and serve great food.”

“My wife and I enjoy going to swanky steakhouses all over the world, from NYC to Japan, we've been to some of the most famous, and in our opinion Hideaway at its best deserves to be included among them. We go here once a year when we visit family in this area. You will not easily find better steaks or better prices (though you're paying for quality here). You won't easily find a better whisky menu either. Everything I've tasted here has been excellent and the servers have all been helpful.

That said, the service can be up and down. Four years ago, our first time here, we had one of the best waiters we'd ever had anywhere at a place without multiple Michelin stars. Three years ago we had a guy almost as good. Last year, our server seemed unhappy to see us and we probably would not have been back this year if we had an interesting option in the area. However, our server this time was a young man named Morgan and he was great. The service makes such a difference to the experience at a place like this, so I hope the management is able to hold on to their best people and also help them to be their best.

Just to be clear, I consider this a very strong recommendation. I doubt that there is a better steakhouse in the Denver area, though I have to admit I haven't been to all of the others yet. I don't want to trash any other place but this is the best we've found so far and since we live in the area we'll keep coming here as long as they remain open - and as long as they're able to keep servers like Morgan to help us!”

Every dish we’ve tried for more than a year has been richly flavored, well executed, and served at an ideal temperature. The husband & wife team who run the place are gifted chefs, as well as friendly, helpful, and very hard working, as is the rest of the small staff. This storefront restaurant has now become solidly and regularly very busy, which it well deserves. Try it, and try multiple dishes on and off the menu. These folks are running a top small restaurant, and their success is based on all the right things. Kudos to the Westminster Uncle Henry’s!”

“On vacation and thought this would be a good choice for a late lunch. Turns out it was a great choice. Met with the owner who explained all of the extensive choices and toppings. We chose ahi tuna, spicy tuna and octopus on top of brown rice and a variety of toppings, including Island fin fire sauce with pineapple and habanero, Kimchi, seaweed and wasabi peas with wasabi finishing sauce. Everything is fresh daily according to the owner (the avocado was cut open in front of us). Simply delicious!”

“My boyfriend and I came here because we had a Groupon for a flight, cocktail, and distillery tour. It was awesome! The tour guide, Andy (I think that was his name) was very personable and down to earth. He had some good jokes/puns. The bartender was sweet and we met the owner briefly. We each chose different liquors for our flights and enjoyed each one plus our cocktails were great. My personal favorite for the flight was the V.I. Rum. After the tour we also got the maple bacon old fashioned which was different but equally delicious. Everything on the menu looked great and while we didn't try any of the food offerings, we will definitely be back. The bar was an intimate setting and the pinball machines were great. We live in Aurora but we can't wait to come back as this place is definitely worth the drive for us!”

“Just picked up from this place and it was so good I had to write a review immediately. Real talk… I don’t even like pho that much, but I got the hot pho special with the brisket and I couldn’t stop eating it was so delicious! Broth is super flavorful and goes well with all the fresh veggies, lime, and herbs. My wife got the less spicy steak pho and she loved it! We just moved to the area and we will def be back to support this place.
Food was ready fast and customer service was on point, and I feel like the price point is more than fair for food this quality.

Bruschetta was fantastic and they offered some great pasta options. “We were driving through the area and needed a late cup of coffee. When we rolled in here, we immediately felt comfortable. The interior is relaxing and vibrant. The coffee was fabulous and we indulged in a small slice of cheesecake which was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend coming to check this out!”

“We went for lunch or the first time today and had the amazing lunch. We eachhad the lunch special, which includes a specialty Pizza and a salad of your choice for starting at $14.50. I had the funguy Pizza, which is a Mushroom Pizza. It was absolutely amazing. I ordered mine without arugula , as I do not perfer that. It was so good that I ordered a full size to take home for dinner. Our server was Jordan and she was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside I have to say is that their drinks were just okay. We had a Italian spritzer that was kind of tart, and then I ordered a Vodka martini, which they said they do not commonly make, and I could tell why... I sent it back and ended up getting a glass of red wine but the pinot noir was mediocre at best. I think management should up their Wine selection and quality, if they're going to pair with Italian dishes. I would definitely go back and order more Pizza and the meatballs look amazing as well.”
