“My wife and I enjoy going to swanky steakhouses all over the world, from NYC to Japan, we've been to some of the most famous, and in our opinion Hideaway at its best deserves to be included among them. We go here once a year when we visit family in this area. You will not easily find better steaks or better prices (though you're paying for quality here). You won't easily find a better whisky menu either. Everything I've tasted here has been excellent and the servers have all been helpful.

That said, the service can be up and down. Four years ago, our first time here, we had one of the best waiters we'd ever had anywhere at a place without multiple Michelin stars. Three years ago we had a guy almost as good. Last year, our server seemed unhappy to see us and we probably would not have been back this year if we had an interesting option in the area. However, our server this time was a young man named Morgan and he was great. The service makes such a difference to the experience at a place like this, so I hope the management is able to hold on to their best people and also help them to be their best.

Just to be clear, I consider this a very strong recommendation. I doubt that there is a better steakhouse in the Denver area, though I have to admit I haven't been to all of the others yet. I don't want to trash any other place but this is the best we've found so far and since we live in the area we'll keep coming here as long as they remain open - and as long as they're able to keep servers like Morgan to help us!“

“We celebrated an engagement dinner Thursday night at Law’s Chophouse. We couldn’t have asked for better atmosphere, service and quality of food. Atmosphere was absolutely perfect- love the soft lighting, attention to detail, warm woods and colors- absolutely perfect for fine dining and a special dinner. Service was great. Evan was our server and he was extremely attentive and cared about making sure our experience was perfect. The manager and owner checked in with us many times to make sure we were having an enjoyable time. Food menu was superb. We all loved the selection with something for everyone at our table. A few within our party were vegetarians and we were able to enjoy some of their selections. The roasted Brussel sprouts were delicious. Bruschetta was fantastic and they offered some great pasta options. Salads and other choices were also available and the restaurant is very accommodating about working with you to make sure your experience is perfect. We will certainly be back to dine again at this restaurant. A great find and enjoyable experience was had by all.“

“We stumbled upon Luke’s by accident and we are so glad that we did! We did not have a reservation, and the restaurant was busy, but that didn’t stop the manager and the bartender from giving us top notch service. They were both incredibly kind and attentive. The food was AMAZING. I rarely clean my plate but I ate every bite. I am pretty picky, so this was a big deal! I would give Luke’s a 20/10. We will definitely be back!“

“The 45-day dry aged NY strip was excellent. The mashed potatoes had great flavor, a little gummy though. The asparagus was a little overcooked. But those are very minor in the whole picture. The steak was the star.
The pretzel bread sticks with the honey butter were delicious. Our server suggested a great bottle of wine. It wasn’t very busy when we went but the atmosphere was very nice. It’s a beautiful restaurant. I’ll go back.“

“I have visited the downtown Denver location twice, once in the late spring and once in the summer (2026). I sat at the bar both times and George and Clarissa were fantastic. The first time I went for a birthday/post-divorce solo celebration. I had crabcakes, which were delicious! Some of the best I have had. I also ordered the ribeye along with Brussels sprouts and a baked potato. The sprouts and very large potato were good and the steak (medium rare) was cooked perfectly, but it was overseasoned for my taste. They offered me another steak, but I declined. Instead they comped me a cocktail, which I only knew when I saw the bill. The cocktails, by the way, were all excellent! I started with a lemon drop and also had a drink (don't remember which one) with berries in it. That night another group came in that was also celebrating a birthday, as was a guy that was there by himself. We all chatted across the bar a bit. It was fun. The restaurant also offered me a complimentary birthday dessert. I chose creme brulee, which was quite good and topped with soooo many berries. The second time I went, I ordered the $60 special. This time, I chose the filet mignon, salad, Brussels sprouts, and for dessert, cheesescake. I also asked for them to skip the salt on the steak this time. The salad, although plain, was surprisingly good. Very crisp and fresh with a lemon basil creamy dressing. The steak came out a bit rarer than the perfect medium rare of my prior ribeye, but the seasoning was perfect for me this time. The sprouts and cheesecake were good. I love the berries they served with the cheesecake. Next time I go, I will likely splurge on the ribeye again.“

What truly elevated our evening, though, was our server, Samantha. She was attentive, warm, and thoroughly engaging; we genuinely enjoyed chatting with her throughout our meal. She made excellent recommendations from the menu and went above and beyond by bringing my wife a few wine samples so she could find the exact one she liked best before ordering a glass. Samantha checked back with us frequently to make sure everything was perfect without ever feeling intrusive.
