“On vacation and thought this would be a good choice for a late lunch. Turns out it was a great choice. Met with the owner who explained all of the extensive choices and toppings. We chose ahi tuna, spicy tuna and octopus on top of brown rice and a variety of toppings, including Island fin fire sauce with pineapple and habanero, Kimchi, seaweed and wasabi peas with wasabi finishing sauce. Everything is fresh daily according to the owner (the avocado was cut open in front of us). Simply delicious!“

“If you’re looking at the price thinking it’s steep, the poke combo bowl is a ton of fish.

The fish is, as the owner explains, so incredibly fresh and the best texture/ flavor.

This place is real authentic Hawaiian poke. As good or better than a lot of Hawaiian poke we’ve had in major coastal cities like Seattle and Hawaii itself! Excellent product.

We also got the Chirashi bowl, but both agreed the shoyu limu poke was both the best value and just scrumptious.

Also points for good rice. Not sure how others screw that up but they do.“

Their online ordering link from their website has been broken for 2 months and nobody in the restaurant seems to be able to tell me what online ordering platform to use. Please update your website. They are also now charging extra to use a credit card and tap to pay, when everybody uses credit cards these days and tap to pay. The salad is no longer mixed greens, but simply romaine lettuce, and incurs a $1 up charge. The $1 miso cup of soup add-on is gone and all that remains is a $2.50 pint option. What I used to appreciate here seems to be disappearing.“

These gals went above and beyond to make sure drinks were customized to taste (leave some extra time in your visit to account for this) and that we felt super welcome. Already planning a return visit. Also, the front window makes for excellent people watching because you sit a little below street level.“

I'd also definitely recommend getting the spam musubi as a side for any meal. “I've been eating at this spot for years. I usually come once a week for sushi and a few other items throughout the store. Im basic and always get California rolls and lately its all avocado and no cucumber. Literally no cucumber at all in today's order. I usually don't eat the avocado and remove it since you cannot order it, its premade. It's disappointing that there is no cucumber and this isn't the first time either. Just feedback for chefs, I'm still coming back next week and the week after. I'd also like to note there are 2 slices of ginger for 9 rolls. That seems skimpy IMO“

“This was our first time at this particular Tokyo Joe's and it has become my favorite. The restaurant was immaculate. Even the bathrooms were spotless. The food was fresh and carefully prepared. The staff were awesome, Kind and attentive. I dropped the lid of my cup that I had brought in and one of the kind people took it back and washed it for me. Though this is a little farther than the one we usually go to, we will drive the extra miles to this particular Tokyo Joe's.“

“went for the first time yesterday. got that curry soup which was good (well order again not too sweet like coconut curt can be sometimes) but I asked for my rice on the side since it was to- go. rice was left off :( also, there was a little piece if eggshell in my soup. I was so glad that was at the end bc my feelings would have been hurt if I found it before I was just about finished eating. my daughter had a Cali roll that she said was good. and a kid's bento box. the Ramen was a bit dry IMO but everyone liked it fine. good mango lemonade. I did an Arnold Palmer with mine.“
