“I have been a patron of PCL for nearly a decade; this place has always been a second home for my friends and me. The bartending staff is amazing; they treat me with respect, kindness, and good service.

I am completely appalled by management these days. The card issue has been resolved, and I’m grateful to Dan (the owner) for sitting down and taking my concern seriously. He found a solution to the double charge, so that is no longer a concern. So feel free to come back and know that it’s done. That being said, I am in support of PCL. Please close your tab and tip your amazing bartenders and staff for their hard work before leaving.

I appreciate that Dan listened to and acknowledged my concerns. I’m still waiting to see whether management will address these concerns and whether things will change. I hope there will be training and changes in how things are handled, both with staff and in how customers are treated. Only time will tell if things change. I mostly hope staff will have time to express their thoughts with understanding, safety, and compassion. I hope for this so the community and bar I love will grow and create a safe space for customers and staff again.

Again, the staff is amazing! So this is a great bar with amazing staff. So, like me, I hope you will give the staff, management, and Dan time to resolve these issues. It is an amazing place that I will continue to patronize. I’m proud to be a regular at this amazing place. Change and struggle are inevitable anywhere. I feel hope for the future of this place I love. Only time will tell whether the change will last, but I hope we can all grow together.“

“we were in the area for a mini vacation (my sister and i). initially we were walking to the brunch nearby but as we were passing by, we changed our minds and went in. after seeing the cowboys game on, we sat down near the TV it was on. I asked if it was possible to change the TV behind my sister as well since we will be sitting across from one another. it was playing the Olympics races and nobody was watching (1 booth other than us and 4 people bar top). after it was changed, we ordered our food and drinks. a kitchen staff joked about the cowboys with friendly bantar before returning to the kitchen. shortly after, the general manager (I was unaware at the time) came from the kitchen and changed it again. I said excuse me several times to him and got 0 acknowledgement. the bartender shrugged his shoulders and looked away from me. I spoke to Anthony as there wasn't much time left on the game. Anthony attempted to talk to him and he said there were people watching the game. the game which was not put on until AFTER we requested the change. while I'm not one to sweat small stuff, I work in customer service and with 6 mins left on a preseason game, what's the harm? at least acknowledge me when I speak to you. let's come to an agreement. instead, I turned my chair around and waited to eat the appetizers sitting behind me on the table until the game was over (a whopping 4 mins) I don't get time to catch many games, was on vacation and wasn't being rude about it. i love sports and trust, I would've been stoked to catch the baseball game he changed it to AFTER the football game. and I would've been the only customer paying attention then too. so finally I was loud and thanked Anthony for his friendly demeanor and caring about his customers. I said it very loudly since I could not get acknowledgement when speaking politely and directly to him. what do ya know? now we hear me in the kitchen and have plenty to say. with music playing and food being prepared no less! I enjoyed the food. probably the best wings I've had in ages! the beer cheese soup was delicious. I enjoyed our waiter's customer care. without him, we would've walked out. food is top notch. caring about customers, not entirely priority. we don't visit often so it isn't a huge loss that we won't be returning because of one person. Definitely ask for Anthony if you do go!“

“Good people at this bar. This friendly guy named Chan, bought us two old white guys a round because we genuinely liked him. He told us, in no uncertain terms, that he really appreciated the fact we showed no anti-Asian hatred. I can’t even imagine as such. I love the people, their traditions, their food, and their heritage. I’m so sorry they have to endure such hatred in the Land of the Free. Peace and happiness, my brother.“

“I’m not one to review. I always forget but holy moly this place is amazing! The food is beyond amazing. I ordered the grilled kielbasa with sauerkraut and fried potatoes on one occasion, which was off the charts! The Bavarian pretzel yes I know it’s just a Bavarian pretzel, but not this one and not the cream cheese garlic dip it comes with holy Mary mother of God. It is amazing. I will never look at beer cheese, the same again after having this,.I hate to keep using that word, but it is nothing short of amazing!! then the burgers, the burgers are just seasoned perfectly and I just can’t stress how good this food is at this establishment if you’re ever off of Broadway and Maple stop in you will not be disappointed!!“

I especially love going there on Thursday and Friday nights for karaoke and every other Tuesday for open Mic night! the staff is fabulous, drinks are fair-priced, enclosed patio, upfront parking for bikes. “The only criticism I have is quit calling your appetizer jalapeno queso and guacamole! It is not queso! It is spicy or jalapeno pimento cheese. It is very good but most people will expect it to be served hot!“

“Our server lilly was great, and their manager kept coming over checking on us to make sure everything was good and made great suggestions. The customer service there from everybody was really good. The only thing I wish is that they wouldn't let people smoke within 10 feet of the front door because that smoke came inside and the front few tables could smell it while eating, which is where we were seated. “Love this bar! Karaoke is great on Wednesdays and Saturdays! The food is great! Love the staff! This is a go to spot for my friends and I every weekend! It can get packed so get there early if you want a table! With the construction going on, the best parking you can get will be the parking lots behind the building on the south side or the lot on the east. Street parking was great here before the colfax construction.“

“What a fantastic place for a night out! The staff were welcoming and attentive, the menu was impressive with so many choices, and the bar was cozy and clean. The food was delicious and surprisingly low priced for large portions. It came out hot and exactly as we ordered. “We stumbled upon this place with my wife just wanting to have dinner at a rooftop bar before we left Denver. Just our luck there was a Colorado Rockies game going on and vs the Chicago Cubs, so this place was packed, but we were able to get a seat pretty quickly on the roof. Service was really good even with it being packed. The food was great. No complaints we all enjoyed our meals. We ended up noticing that everyone there was a Chicago Cubs fan so we asked the waiter and he said they were the official Chicago Cubs bar of Denver Karma so it's crazy that we were there while the Cubs were in town. Made the atmosphere even more fun. The staff was super nice,matter of fact I had to leave to go get some aspirin for my daughter and the bouncer downstairs gave me great directions to find the 7-Eleven. Good size place they have a pretty large bar area downstairs and naturally the rooftop is pretty often to get a good view of Denver and you can see Coors field. Definitely would come back here especially if the Cubs were playing in town or on tv, probably on TV would be better because once the game started this place cleared out. In the really coolest thing is we ended up meeting the lead guitarist Chantry Johnson of The Cab, how cool is that! This is definitely a good hangout place! Highly recommend.“

“I moved to Capitol Hill around two years ago and this place has been a staple watering hole of mine ever since I moved here - excellent vibes, excellent music choice (most of the time, lol), and really good service (though it can take a few minutes when it’s busy, as with any other place).

“I went to The Tavern on Blake Street for the first time today. It’s been a long time that I’ve been in this building since the other place shut down. I went at 10:30 AM and had the place to myself. I have to say, it’s great. I started with a Princess Yum Yum raspberry beer and I got the breakfast sandwich with veggies, eggs over easy. I really like spicy and they were able to make a sauce out of the Nashville hot dry rub. Delicious! Also, Jen was an absolutely fantastic server. 10/10“

“Dr. Proctor's is a great time, any time! There's a good mix of patrons. I feel like this bar is equally of older drinking age and younger. Give karaoke night a shot! There's a lot of great singers! Also there's plenty of pool tables to keep you busy while you're in rotation!“

“Our group came here for lunch. We are on the spacious breezy porch The carnitas Mac and cheese looked gorgeous. The green chili smothered burrito was spicy without the spice drowning out the great flavor. Our vegetarian had a flatbread tomato pizza. The horseradish sauce with the roast beef had a big kick.
