We were greeted by a really nice and friendly host. He was very personable and made a great first impression when we entered the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portion size was right. We had the Bison Pastrami Reuben and the Denver Dip. I was not crazy about the cherry mango cider I tried. Appaloosa Grill is a standout restaurant located in a typical food desert area around convention centers. It offers great service, a cool vibe, and very good food, along with a great beer list. The manager and bartender are kind and attentive, making for a delightful experience. The vibe is casual, with live music starting at 9 pm. While some dishes may be hit or miss, the filet is a highlight.
Customers have recently praised the food, particularly the NY strip, fries, and bison burger, which were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The baked goat cheese and cocktails were also highlighted as fantastic. However, some customers found the atmosphere to be a bit too dark. The service was reported to be a bit slow, and the 20% "service charge for all employees" left some customers feeling obligated to tip their server on top of it.
