“Amazing experience; made our night. Showed up to find a 1.5 hour wait. We stayed in the entryway to keep warm and plan where to go wait and chatted with the hosts. Once they found out it was my girlfriend's birthday, they went above and beyond to get us in. They warned us we might be standing for a while, but as soon as we entered a table opened up, and with some luck the table right next to it opened up right when the rest of our party arrived. They even brought out a birthday card from the stuff. This is first-class service.“

“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“

“My husband and I stopped into Caldera during their happy hour and sat at the bar. We had the most AMAZING appetizers - the chile rellenos, the ahi chips and the diablo chicken slider - all were out of this world! The location of this restaurant, in McGregor Square, is prime for stopping in before or after a downtown event. The best part of our experience by far was our bartender, Robert! He was kind, engaging and very attentive! We cannot wait to go back for a full sit down dinner as the menu is top notch! Highly recommend!!!“

“My experience here was excellent. From the lovely new decor to the service and the quality of food. The cocktail menu was creative and wine list very nice. I had an excellent old fashioned which was made with the proper glass and ice cube as well as nice local bourbon a suggested by my server. We shared a few items including the charred corn soufflé and rib eye. The quality of the food was great. I highly recommended this spot for foodies , date night and business dinner or even a nice family meal.“

“Me and two friends made an appearance at this restaurant on June 14th (2024) and it was a very enjoyable experience. We were vacationing in Denver and this placed looked welcoming, I had no idea that it was a hotel restaurant. The space was lovely – well-lit, plenty of seating, there were an appropriate amount of TVs, and the decor was modernized. The prices were a bit high but thankfully we went during happy hour and got to enjoy ourselves on a modest budget. Our server was a quick-talking, seasoned black woman who knew almost everything you could ask. She took our orders without pen or paper, offered advice on the menu and even gave us local recommendations. We ordered Umami-flavored Cauliflower wings, hot wings (Umami and spicy pineapple), and jalepeño poppers. The Umami flavor was incredible – a great source of spice, heat and flavor – we had it on the cauliflower and the wings. The Jalepeño poppers were spicier than expected but still great! I ordered a Moscow mule while my friend ordered a pear martini. All wonderful drinks. We then escaped to the rooftop bar. We were welcomed by two great hosts and there were plenty of seats to choose from. We all ordered our drinks again to enjoy the ambiance of the rooftop. We also ordered the cheesecake which, honestly, was a but underwhelming. It was a twist on a blueberry cheesecake but it wasn’t as satisfying as it could have been. The crust wasn’t as stiff as I’d like and the filling was doing everything but it’s job. But, we still loved the experience and would return if we were in the area.“

In a world that seems to have gone crazy, I am comforted in knowing that there is still some semblance of sanity and rational thinking. Thank you Highland Tap & Burger. Thank you.

This is the only google review I have ever written, as I’m a live and let live type of dude, but the so called burger experts here motivated me to tell the world the truth: They completely changed the Tap Burger and ruined it. I will not return until justice has been done and the burger has been restored to its original glorious magnificence.

“I'm a big fan of the Botanic Gardens, and love the Hive restaurant. Great outdoor venue with good food. Salads are made fresh and, in season, made from food grown at the gardens. It's a nice place to hang out and enjoy a good meal. Sometimes the lines are long, so if you go at peak times, plan for a wait. But hey, you are surrounded by beauty as you wait in line.

Parking: During peak season, it can be difficult to find parking. I usually walk and enjoy the stroll from 20th to the garden along gaylord street.“

“BEWARE OF THE PARKING. YOU WILL GET TOWED!!! We did and were out $400. … as far as the restaurant itself, Fire on The Mountain was just what we were looking for. A nice local chill place to grab some food/drinks before having to fly back home. It did not disappoint. What was disappointing was that we parked in the parking lot right next to the big mural NOT knowing that the parking was not for the restaurant but for the apartments behind the restaurant ?. There were signs saying private parking/towing enforced but being from out of town we thought it was the restaurants private parking. Expensive lesson. Either way, the service was great. Wings were the bomb and the drinks hit the spot. Loved the neighborhood too.

It is a vaporwave connoisseur’s ultimate dream- old objects your parents or grandparents might have had lying around when you were a kid, old documentaries and music, coupled with the pastoral vibes of a forest you might have visited long ago, or have fond memories about growing up. The vending machine is an eclectic goody bag of random objects with somewhat sentimental quality. It’s as though they plucked random memories from my subconscious mind and sold them to me. The bathrooms are some of the most calming rooms in the whole bar, with spacey visuals and reverb-tinged music filling the space with nostalgia and comfort. Forest Room 5 is an absolute gem in a city famous for its avant-garde establishments and attractions. PLEASE check them out. All of the staff were very kind, the drinks were creative and enjoyable, and the food is delicious.“

“I'd like to say that the food and the atmosphere won us over tonight, but on this rare occasion, our server earned all the accolades! Collin was absolutely delightful. Super knowledgeable, extremely kind, prompt, charismatic and at the end of the meal, we didn't want to leave! As for the food, my husband and I both felt the Caesar salad was the best we have ever had, the ricotta was creamy and flavorful, and our main dish was a special that blew our minds out of the atmosphere. For dessert Collin highly recommend the butterscotch bread pudding. Dont tell him we would have ordered it anyway, because it was so enjoyable to see him so excited about it! If you leave without trying this dessert, you will deeply regret it for the rest of your life. Every single aspect of every dish was well thought through and even the plating was beautiful! 13/10.“
