“My absolute favorite cocktail bar in Denver. The bartenders are soo talented! They maintain a great cocktail menu which rotates every few months. Their drinks are very well thought out and combine interesting, unique flavors. The bartenders are also able to create anything you'd like or even come up with a new recipe off menu based on your taste. Reservations recommended but they do also take walks in's though there may be a wait. They will text when the table is ready so you can walk around the neighborhood or have a drink next door.“
“The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was quaint and cozy. We enjoyed eleven dishes, and splurged on the Wagyu Beef which was totally worth it. All of the drinks were creative and expertly paired as well. The restaurant also offered mocktail pairings. Overall it was a memorable experience. I can’t wait to go back.“
“Where to begin...the food is unique and beyond delicious. Right now they are offering their spring tasting menu which is amazing!!! The team is fun, knowledgeable and create an unforgettable experience. I will be taking more of my foodie friends so they too can enjoy!!“
“My fiancé and I went to Rioja last night for our anniversary. We made note on our res that we were there to celebrate and the servers were the best! They sent over an unexpected celebratory glass of champagne for the both of us. The service was 10/10, they had wonderful recommendations, kept the table clean from crumbs and dishes etc. Let's start with the drinks- I had the Pisco cocktail which was fun, it's on the sweeter side, if you like a sweet cocktail with mint and grapefruit, this is the drink for you. My partner got the Mediterranean olive oil cocktail - so fun and the presentation was beautiful. The food was unique and inspired. We ordered the set tasting menu, we loved everything we tried. Highly recommend the artichoke tortellini and the venison was cooked to perfection. The restaurant felt high end but not stuffy. Thank you for an awesome date night!!“
“The Denver area has been an enjoyable restaurant experience for us, and we've yet to encounter terrible service or food quality. Root Down is another one of those great experiences.Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly. My husband and I are on our healthy lifestyle change adventure. I was concerned we may not be super welcomed due to our appearance as I am overweight. I love to report that there was never a need for that concern at this location. I've read many reviews regarding restaurants like this that indicated a cliqueish nature and a rudeness to newcomers. Our experience was the opposite. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, with a lot of smiles. We had several seating options and chose the patio to the left of the entrance. We thoroughly enjoyed the Denver skyline and the warmth of the heaters outside. It was a very nice atmosphere. The menu is fabulous. Root Down caters to those with specific dietary requirements and needs without a hint of rudeness or hint to inconvenience. They were glad to accommodate, even though we needed none.Spring Salad and Veggie Burgers were what we ordered. Both delightful and delicious. We were impressed by the staging of the food.If you're searching for a friendly place, great atmosphere, and fantastic non-processed foods at a restaurant that supports sustainability, this is a place we highly recommend. It's perfect for vegans, gluten-free menu options, and healthy food options. You will leave feeling better and healthier than when you walked in.Thanks, Root Down, for such a wonderful experience and for providing amazing food options. This is what normal should be!Dietary restrictions: Fully accommodates restrictions and even willing to prepare without any cross contamination.“
“So far it seems like you can't go wrong with Ester's. Everything I've tried is either really good or just plain amazing. Today I decided on their seasonal pizzas (1/2 and 1/2 for the win!). Since spring is in the air, half of that pizza was the O'Sullivan, which was a Reuben inspired pizza. I like a good Reuben, but the thought of that on a pizza just didn't do anything for me. But that thought is now far in the past. This was probably one of the best pizzas I've ever tried. The crust, albeit slightly burnt, was both crispy and chewy. The flavors of the corned beef, sauerkraut, and Reuben sauce were perfectly balanced so that no one flavor overpowered another. It was so good, that we honestly might have a problem here. I want more and I want it today. Bravo Ester's! I selected the Gotta Jibboo as my second half, and that had a cilantro pesto, adobo chicken, poblano peppers, and chipotle cream. Another excellent choice that possessed a slight heat, but in the best of ways. Finally, sometimes one just has to adult and eat their greens. However, my choice to adult was actually a tasty experience. I ordered a half order of the Winter Kale Salad, and the serving size was quite impressive. Now I'm normally a savory type of gal, but this salad was on point! It had texture from the crunchy almonds, fresh apples, and pops of pomegranate seeds; the pomegranate Vinaigrette was sweet and tangy, but not overpowering, and the Gorgonzola just brought it all together. This salad was great! Oh, and service was great too. I am so happy that Ester's is close to home. What a win!“
“Wonderful, Indigenous owned eatery with a rotating assortment of local craft beers from Denver. The bowls are great for health conscious keto carnivores or vegetarian fare fae who want a fry brea, chiles, and Osage hominy spread. The shredded bison, quinoa bowl was fantastic! Highly recommended!“
“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“
“We were reminded again why we love coming back to Red Square Euro Bistro. Wonderful service, excellent food and a relaxing date night before heading to DCPA. We were seated next to a couple who had not been at the restaurant before. They were also headed to the theater. We shared our dessert, Medovik with them and they loved it. I believe they will be back!“
“Let’s start with the simplistic yet warm ambiance of the restaurant. It feels like a special and even secret space. It’s like walking into someone’s home. The staff are absolutely excellent in their field. The host Jen in particular was charming and fluid in her orchestrating our seating. Which by the way was generously offered to us even though we didn’t have reservations, at 6pm on a Friday night (our original plan fell through don’t judge!)Of course last but not least was the fabulous dynamic dishes we were served. We started with a few little bites that packed a flavorful punch; butternut squash and ricotta surrounded in fried golden puff topped with pomegranate seed melted into the mouth exquisitely. We shared the lamb tartare which was uniquely served with the crunchy bit on top of the tartare. Next up we shared a radicchio salad of sorts with grapefruit, meyers lemon, and black olive ash. A total harmony of delight. We continued into our main dishes, which I was trepidatious to choose the vegetarian option of turnip mushroom cakes with lentils, however I adored my dish and enthusiastically preferred it over my companions swordfish. We finished with a sweet note with their chocolate caramel pannacotta. It was a delightful dichotomy of sweet and salt and smooth and crunchy.Treat yourself to their quality service, ingredients, atmosphere and culinary artistry.“
“This place was our Hero being open til 1am! the service was Excellent. Our craft cocktails were perfect on execution, a lot of places have interesting drinks but they don't always taste good. these were all delicious and balanced. and the sandwich our server recommended was creative and amazing! Only here for 4 days but I feel compelled to go back for another sandwich.“
“One of the best dining experiences I have had in Denver. The bartender Melody made phenomenal drinks. Food was delicious. The potato gnocchi might have been the best thing I’ve ever eaten. We shared the beef brisket and pork tenderloin entrees. Both were 5 stars. Thank you guys for an amazing dinner!“
“Stopped in for a quick shake for the kiddo on a light exploration day downtown. Decided to try to sweet potato fries as well. Servings were HUGE! Got two and one was more than enough for two people. They were really good and favor full. Mini shake was the perfect size for my daughter. Pricing was decent for the location. Plan to make it back to try more!“
“Hands down, the best choice I made upon arriving in Denver was coming to this place. Michelle had the most welcoming vibe and made me want to move to Denver officially, lol.No joke, this place has delicious food, great service and outstanding energy!Run to The Maison“
“Hey kiddo is my favorite restaurant on the Tennyson strip and tonight reminded me why. I sat at the bar tonight and was taken care of by Hanna and John - totally. The food here is just phenomenal. Chef Jonas and the GM Brian really have a great thing going here. Their baked oysters are HIGHLY recommended when they have them. Perfectly cooked every time and a extremely sublime dish. Wow. Best fried chicken in town and their caviar service is outstanding. The whole staff is super friendly and I had the best time tonight. Enjoy yourself there with my compliments.“
“My mom and I are frequent visitors here. Everyone is always so friendly and the food is amazing so we love coming in. Our must have items when we come are the lattes, the burger and of course the griddle banana bread! I would highly recommend for a fun breakfast spot, if you’re coming on the weekend join the wait list beforehand because they do get busy!“
“We went today with 25 people from two schools it was awesome service our waiter was a super hero he got everything correct the first try super friendly and came back often to check on us! The food was amazing most definitely recommend 10/10 we will be back soon! Thanks for a great experience!“
“This is a fantastic restaurant! Speaking as a celiac, the staff are very knowledgeable about keeping things gluten free and minimizing cross contamination, in part owing to their personal connections with celiacs, and in part owing to their EXTENSIVE experience in fine dining. Yes, the food is delicious, safe, sourced responsibly, treated with care and respect, and brought to life -- not literally lol -- in novel and interesting ways.... But I want to stress, when I say the restaurant is "fantastic," I also mean to say that the staff are exceptionally knowledgeable about the dishes, allergies, and food safety, and the way they work so well and fluidly together gives me confidence there won't be miscommunications resulting in a gluten-poisoned platter! I've eaten here about a dozen times since they opened, strongly recommended. If you have dietary needs like I do, I'd recommend having a brief discussion with your server before you order so they can guide you to a safe and delicious meal that's sure to hit the spot, they're very helpful :)“
“I went for the first time last night for the earlier set. It's a charming, intimate place. I chose a kir royale, one of my favorite drinks, and a light bite with their salad. Service was impeccable just disappointed with the salad portion size considering it was $17, without any protein. I'll try the place again, yet will pass on the food.“
“Simple & Elegant. For me this is one of the greatest compliments. The location is in a wonderful neighborhood, the building is warm and inviting, the menu simple and covers a breadth of savory and sweet ideas all named after towns in North Carolina and a build your own biscuit for those who want to customize. I think the menu had less than a dozen options all focused on biscuits that were just the right size. My Café Latte was very good just wish it had been a little bit hotter. My only issue was the ramkin of jam I purchased was way too small especially for the price. You always need jam with a biscuit.“
“Giving this 5 stars, because of the prices. I love a good steak frites and this place has it at 1/2 the price of other place in Denver. The steak is not huge, but it is a reasonable size and a reasonable price. It's right on 16th Street (for what that is worth these days) and has a really cool, old-Denver cowboy vibe.“
“This place rocked. The host got us seated quickly, our server was super nice, had great recommendations, and the food was delicious. If you like brunch with a unique Cajun/New Orleans/ rustic twist, you will like this place. They have their own habanero hot sauce which was insanely delicious and balanced. Not to mention it’s all somehow all happening in a beautiful house with an amazing rooftop patio. 5/5“
“5 star restaurant food for incredible prices in a casual atmosphere.I has the short rib. The meat was extremely tender, well seasoned and delicious. Fluffy light mashed potatoes, delicious pan sauce.A real game changer for amazing food quickly and affordably.“
“After nearly a decade of anticipation, I finally had the pleasure of stepping through the doors of Potager, and it was every bit as enchanting as I had imagined. For years, I had heard whispers of its culinary prowess and unique ambiance, and to have the opportunity to experience it firsthand was truly a dream come true. The no cell phone policy, which initially intrigued me, became a cherished aspect of the dining experience. In a world where constant connectivity often distracts from genuine connection, Potager provided a sanctuary where conversations flourished and memories were made without the intrusion of screens.I must commend the wait staff for their impeccable service and genuine hospitality. It was the creative pine butter that truly stole the show for me. As someone who has a penchant for unique flavor combinations, I was intrigued by the concept, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The subtle hint of pine intertwined with creamy butter created a symphony of flavors that lingered long after the last bite of golden beets—a culinary masterpiece that I will undoubtedly reminisce about for years to come.In retrospect, my visit to Potager was more than just a dining experience; it was a culmination of nearly a decade of anticipation and a testament to the power of perseverance. As I reflect on the memories made and flavors savored, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to finally experience this culinary haven. Without a doubt, Potager has secured a special place in my heart, and I eagerly anticipate the day when I can return to indulge in its delights once more!“
“We went here for our late Valentine's celebration and it was worth the wait. The food was outstanding and phenomenal! The bone marrow was so tasty. The duck ragu pasta was well-seasoned. The crispy trout was cooked to perfection. The raspberry panna cotta was light, refreshing and well-balanced! I highly recommend it for a date night or special occasion!“
“Best food I’ve ever encountered in an airport across the United States. Everything was delicious- we got the farm to Cobb salad (a huge salad!) & Risotto- the flavors were perfect. I forgot I was even in an airport because of how good the food is & how cute the atmosphere is. Highly recommend!“

“We are here for Denver restaurant week and have found a great go to restaurant! Everyone in our party of four loved their dishes, the service was attentive, and my duck confit was amazing. One of the best I’ve ever had. Table 6 is now on our short list of must go places when friends are in town.“
“I got the brisket sandwich Texas style with a side of the jalapeño bacon Mac and cheese. It was all very tasty. I’m not a big brisket person but it was made very well. Great bark and flavor. I tried all three of the barbecue sauces and they were good. Their homemade sauce was especially unique and tasty. The Mac and cheese was also good, but I would try another side because they have more to offer“
“Excellent first time dining there even though we have lived in the neighborhood for years. John does a great job, the portions are generous and the menu very thoughtful and creative. Plus the crispy skin on the duck confit was spectacular! Highly recommend.“
“I'm in town from Oregon and I rode the bus for like an hour to eat lunch here by myself. No regrets. The atmosphere: unmatched. Folks were playing songs on the juke box that got me hype for a concert I'm seeing tomorrow, and the bartender's playlist was super dope too. The food: unreal. I got the poodle bites and idk if I was expecting like more of a hush puppy with a little bit of ground meat inside, but that first bite of pure cornmeal-fried sausage absolutely took me out. You must get these. The Gwarled cheese was really good too, you gotta put the pickles on it for some bite cause it's rich. Pork belly was a tad dry for me. The sweet tots were the best I've ever had (and I come from the state that invented tater tots!) The service: awesome. Food came quick, I didn't get drinks but other folks were getting them immediately and cheerfully. Go here and tip well!“
“Josiah was amazing and was very attentive! Very patient and relaxing, and made my first experience at this location absolutely remarkable. I will be back with my family. Thank you Josiah and the kitchen staff!Kid-friendliness: Definitely a cool place to bring the family. Staff is very friendly and the music is wonderful.“
“Delightful ambience and delicious fresh inventive food. We had the lamb and both salmon plates, a vegetable plate & gnocchi. All excellent - superb gnocchi! Relaxed garden like decor. Staff thoughtful & efficient. All this plus admirable ethics!“
“I read the reviews of this place being great burgers and it was correct! Definitely recommend the cricket burger, and the option with green chili was chefs kiss. I built my own burger with a turkey burger and it was okay, but the burger was GREAT! Onion rings where good as well. Cute spot!“
“We had a delightful lunch at The Hornet. Our server recommended the fish tacos after my couple questions and they were perfect. The avocado toast and gangster wrap also got high marks. The amazing thing is that I forgot my purse and realized it as we arrived at the airport to fly home. Sean delivered it to me at the airport through crazy traffic. The people and the food were far above expectations for a random lunch stop (even before Sean delivered my purse we really enjoyed our server). We will be back next time we’re in Colorado!“
“So good! Have never been to Snooze before, but we were able to walk in and get a table right away around 2pm today (a Saturday). I got the strawberry martini mimosa and the snooze classic, which were both very good! Would definitely recommend!“
“My husband and I had dinner at this Dennys yesterday. The young lady Gabriella was very friendly, gave us great service and made sure everything we wanted was done correctly. We were surprised to see how she was able to attend to everyone by herself. Great job. Will definitely go there again.“
“The best sports bar near where I grew up in the north side of Denver, Colorado!! They have amazing beer selections, always have any kind of sports on, and their bar food is not some clique sports bar menu, they have high quality items that stick out the front page. Always come back when I go home. Oh and the service, just Fantastic!!“
“This is my go-to when we want BBQ in the Denver metro area.As a Tennessee native, I feel like I have some strong, well-founded opinions about smoked meats. Smokin' Dave's BBQ ticks all of the boxes for the different varieties of regional styles of BBQ they offer, as well as a variety of sides for all tastes. I think the Southern Corn Bake side is incredible, and the sweet tea is trustworthy. One note of critique -- The pulled pork and brisket can be VERY GREASY at times, and the brisket is on the fatty side, even if you request leaner cuts. So it goes.Overall a great experience. 8/10“
“This place was a nice, random find. Came here on a date last week &, truthfully, I was more interested in the restaurant ? The bartenders were phenomenal & the food was delicious - their charbroiled oysters were my favorite ♡ fresh fish n chips was a huge plus as well. Will definitely be returning with friends!“
“Wonderful food experience. The food was fabulous and the service was top notch. Our waiter, Mike, was very knowledgeable. We got the broccolini and beets as small plates and the braised short rib and salmon as large plates. All were delicious but the salmon was our favorite. We also got the tres leches carrot cake and it was one of the best desserts ever.“
“GREAT EXPERIENCE! The food was interesting, fun, and delicious, as were the drinks. The house was packed but we had plenty of space to sit, phenomenal service, and could actually hear for conversation. We are absolutely coming back!Vegetarian options: Many vegetable forward dishes and clearly marked menu.Dietary restrictions: Clearly identified menu and are actively willing to make modificationsParking: Street parking but there seem to be spots availableKid-friendliness: Fun kids menu and plenty of N/A drinks.“
“What a great service Teresa has provided to us! Eventhough the place was busy, she had the best attitude! Teresa's recommendations were the best. Food was def delicious! This place needs more "Teresas" with the quality and type of service Teresa offers/provided.“
“I went twice during a 4 day visit to Denver. The vibe is amazing. The venue is gorgeous and the views to the mountains from the roof top are incredible. Food was delicious! Loved all the seating options to be outside. I will be back often!“
“Urban Egg is an adorable spot perfect for families! I tried the pancake flight – such a fun idea! The food was good, though I wished for a tad more flavor. However, the drinks, especially the espresso martini, were fantastic! The service was warm, and the atmosphere inviting. A delightful place for a cozy meal!“
“Local gem in the Jefferson Park neighborhood. Exposed brick walls, rooftop seating, and an authentic brew-pub vibe. Service is friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. Highlight is the food (start with the buffalo cauliflower) which is wonderfully diverse for a relatively short menu. The hot chicken sandwich was amazing, as was the seared scallops over fettucini.“
“Really great spot for gluten free and vegetarian/vegans. My wife is celiac, and has never had any problems with GF waffles and vegan chicken and GF cupcakes.Vegetarian options: Great Vegetarian options if you are looking for more comfort food that tastes great. Definitely some healthy options but not the focus of the place. Focused on a smile on your face and not the buckle on your pants.Dietary restrictions: Great for GF and have been with my celiac wife multiple times“
“Always a pleasure. This is one of the most random places but always a great spot for a good time. Pool tables in the back or sit at the bar in a boat captains chair. We work across the street so come in often, order some cluck chicken from next door and play pool. It's an awesome hang.“
“I have only been living in Colorado for 5 months, but this was the best experience I have had going out. The staff was amazing, engaging, and beyond friendly. The food was top-notch, and the atmosphere was fun. I will definitely be going back...again and again. ❤️“
