“Absolutely phenomenal experience. We sat at the chefs counter and were served by Hunter. He was engaging and very knowledgeable about the food, their suppliers, and just a great person to chat with. The music was a nice lo-fi and pop mix, with ambient lighting setting the tone. The meal itself was fabulous. We ordered everything in the happy hour menu as well as a few dishes off the main menu. 10/10 would go again to try some other dishes before they change the menu in autumn!“

“Ate lunch there last Monday. We are from out of town and picked Steuben's out of a guide book. The food was outstanding. The service was fast and friendly. We felt welcome and well fed when we left.“

“Have visited several times before. Last Thursday we tried your lunch for the first time. I had biscuits & gravy with spicy sausage and eggs over, huge and delicious. My wife ordered the veggie burger. Her salad was brought out, then 5 minutes later was advised they were out of it! She re-ordered the pot roast, but the brocolli was over cooked and the carrots were dry. Other than that, was good. There was a problem at check out with the purchase of gift cards, but was shortly resolved. We look forward to visiting again in the New Year, but only for breakfast or dinner.“

“Jamie - it’s clear that everyone appreciates her, customers and coworkers alike. She’s friendly, even-keeled, and at ease, even in a rush. She’s wonderful and attentive. A clear multitasker, serving and behind the bar. I’d come back just for her level of service but the food is not to be ignored either. Definitely became one of my favorite brunch spots in the area, easily. Food came out fast, hot, and delicious. I sat in a seat for way too long and wasn’t bothered or pushed out. “we were in the area for a mini vacation (my sister and i). initially we were walking to the brunch nearby but as we were passing by, we changed our minds and went in. after seeing the cowboys game on, we sat down near the TV it was on. I asked if it was possible to change the TV behind my sister as well since we will be sitting across from one another. it was playing the Olympics races and nobody was watching (1 booth other than us and 4 people bar top). after it was changed, we ordered our food and drinks. a kitchen staff joked about the cowboys with friendly bantar before returning to the kitchen. shortly after, the general manager (I was unaware at the time) came from the kitchen and changed it again. I said excuse me several times to him and got 0 acknowledgement. the bartender shrugged his shoulders and looked away from me. I spoke to Anthony as there wasn't much time left on the game. Anthony attempted to talk to him and he said there were people watching the game. the game which was not put on until AFTER we requested the change. while I'm not one to sweat small stuff, I work in customer service and with 6 mins left on a preseason game, what's the harm? at least acknowledge me when I speak to you. let's come to an agreement. instead, I turned my chair around and waited to eat the appetizers sitting behind me on the table until the game was over (a whopping 4 mins) I don't get time to catch many games, was on vacation and wasn't being rude about it. i love sports and trust, I would've been stoked to catch the baseball game he changed it to AFTER the football game. and I would've been the only customer paying attention then too. so finally I was loud and thanked Anthony for his friendly demeanor and caring about his customers. I said it very loudly since I could not get acknowledgement when speaking politely and directly to him. what do ya know? now we hear me in the kitchen and have plenty to say. with music playing and food being prepared no less! I enjoyed the food. probably the best wings I've had in ages! the beer cheese soup was delicious. I enjoyed our waiter's customer care. without him, we would've walked out. food is top notch. caring about customers, not entirely priority. we don't visit often so it isn't a huge loss that we won't be returning because of one person. Definitely ask for Anthony if you do go!“

Upon arrival for brunch, My other friend and I received a warm welcome and prompt seating. Our waitress Erika and her assistant were exceptionally kind and attentive. The food was a true culinary delight . I can’t recommend Rioja enough!“

“Best meal ever! We eat out plenty, but this one is up there. 🙌 We had the pork chop, clam chowder (special for the night), Gorgonzola stroganoff, bread pudding and crème brûlée. “My husband and I started our anniversary celebration at The Original, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was fantastic, but what truly made our visit unforgettable was our server, Jeremy.

Jeremy gave us some of the best service we’ve ever had. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel celebrated throughout our entire meal. He anticipated everything we needed without ever being overbearing, offered great recommendations, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table.

Exceptional customer service is hard to come by, and Jeremy absolutely exceeded every expectation. He played a huge part in making our anniversary feel so special, and we’re already looking forward to coming back because of the experience he provided.

“I didn't have any food so I can't comment, but the cocktails were outstanding. Our cocktail smith Kenny was outstanding at explaining and describing the various cocktails/ingredients.

The cocktails had many rare and special ingredients which made them worthwhile. Our favorite was the Zipline, and it should be. Permanent addition to the menu.“

“I’m from Chicago and love gourmet dining in that city. Imagine my surprise when I entered the wine bar at Satchel’s with a group of friends to be seated for a wedding luncheon that began with the first of seven tasting courses of food that was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Andrew, the chef/owner, is not only innovative with ingredients, but he and his staff really care about their customers’ pleasure and comfort. If I am ever able to return to the Denver area again, Satchel’s will be my first go-to destination. The luncheon was 1st class all the way.“

“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“

“Service was amazing, honestly the highlight of the experience. The food was good, but not quite at the leve. Fried chicken was cooked perfectly, as was the wagyu. The seasoning seemed off though and most items fell flat. The potato pave was by far the best thing we had, it’s a must get if visiting. The drinks were also not really up to the task unfortunately. I’m glad I came and tried it, I really enjoyed the unique twists on some classic American dishes, not rushing back though.“

“Finally tried out this location after obsessing over the one in Boulder for years and while it’s clearly a different venue, the food is next level incredible. The BLT has to be the best BLT I’ve ever had in my life and I could not stay away. I returned three days later to consume another fabulous sandwich because I absolutely could not wait. No photos because I became fixated on scarfing this insane sandwich down as soon as I could. there were no morsels left on the plate.“

I’ve been very cautious about eating out lately, and OMG… huge win that they offer burger bowls! I always order my bun on the side, but I didn’t even have to because they have an amazing burger bowl option for any of their burgers. Another thing I loved: when you order fries, you can choose a single or double portion instead of being forced into getting two sides. Someone definitely put a lot of thought into this menu, and I appreciate it! The bison burger was to die for — seriously drooling just thinking about it. We will 100% be back! *Broomfield location“

“I believe this is a newer location. Seems like they need time to staff up a bit. Clearly understaffed and took a while for us to be seated in a fairly empty restaurant. Once seated the service was good and so was the food. Im sure things will only improve as they become more established in the new location.“
