“What can I say, three dogs is my home away from home! Their staff treat their patrons with respect and care, and they always provide excellent service. Tony is the absolute man, he truly makes you feel like part of the family no matter how often you go. Hands down, my favorite bar on the west side. Josh, Chelsea, Steph, Kristina, they all rule!“

“I was at the hotel for an event, stopped in for dinner because it was super convenient. I was sat on the outer part of the restaurant, which was lovely and open and bright (perfect for me to read while I ate). Inside looked cozy and romantic, there's a bar that can be accessed without going into the main restaurant.
Every person I encountered was very friendly, shout out to my server Ally! I had the Impossible cheeseburger, fries were crunchy and seasoned perfectly. Great wine, beer and cocktail list. Will certainly be back!“
“Best neighborhood bar around! Not quite a dive bar and definitely not a fancy place for fancy drinks. Most days include a great food truck right out front and large patio out back.“
“What a great brewery to hang out!“

“Simply incredible! I had the absolute pleasure of visiting this bar last night. Upon entering this establishment, I was greeted by two of the best bartenders that I have ever encountered. Sean and Mello are fantastic. They represent everything that is good about the Mile High City. They are very polite and professional. I will definitely return here whenever I am visiting Denver.
Please keep up the great work 🙏.

“I had my birthday party here last week and it was amazing. The staff is great and extremely accommodating. Chris A. is a great host and very informative. I can’t express my gratitude for this experience. Oh and their drinks are fantastic as well as pretty!“

“Warm nicely finished woodwork provides a welcoming historic atmosphere. Our experience was 100% on their patio which is a leftover COVID make-shift tent with zero ambiance however well protected from the weather elements in the unlikely event there’s a bad weather in a place with 300+ days of sunshine. Burgers and sandwiches are tops with your own table try of condiments provided. Drink selection is extensive and mixed well along with a wide variety of good beer choices. Service was great though we were pushed to leave far too quickly without even a mention of dessert even though they were well aware that was our visit purpose nor a apology they had no dessert or cup of coffee. Atmosphere inside historic and warm, outside no more than a camping tent. Food - Excellent sandwiches and burgers. Service- Good though pushed to leave very quickly. Price - Average.“
“The best. Gabbie our waitress was amazing. The food was amazing. Will be back for brunch next weekend. We went for the prime rib steak. Cooked to perfection.“

“It's our favorite bar in Denver. I grew up here, but only visit from time to time now. PonPon is hands down Denver's coolest bar, and it's not simply surface: yes, the atmosphere is exceedingly cool, but it's also extremely playful, and if you feel intimidated by the atmosphere, the incredibly warm bar staff will help you feel at ease. This is truly a sophisticated spot posing as a dive bar - you can get a glass of Txlakolina as readily as you might get a $4 Gennessee, or the best Japanese whisky cocktail as easily as a Mexican Coke or a glass of Four Roses from the 1970s salvaged from an estate sale. There's something here for everyone, from the eclectic decor to the art gallery in back. This is a must visit spot if you like cozy watering holes with kick-a music and awesome service.“

“Great atmosphere and food! Service was good and pricing is reasonable. My only gripe, is that their unlimited mimosas were a little slow coming. By the time I finished my second mimosa, I had already filled up on food. So it would have been cheaper to just buy 2 mimosas, or keep them coming while we're waiting on our food!“
“This place is an absolute hidden gem! Loved coming here to get drinks and due to it being tucked away it wasn’t insanely packed. Is open to the public as well as the residents of The Patterson Inn. The Old Fashions were definitely my highlight of ordering drinks and I’m not very much of an old fashion type of guy! Cool atmosphere and talked to the owner (Chris) and we talked about his smoke lounge he’s making in the basement and everything that goes into it, it was great and interesting stuff to learn and talk about!“

“Out of state visitor. Was in the area and ended up here to unwind and play pool. Very laidback dive, just what I love in a bar. Elsie took great care of us. Friends and I played several rounds of pool unbothered and had great cheap drinks in the meantime. Would recommend to anyone looking for a chill, old school pool hall.“

“If you’re looking for the kind of place that instantly feels like your neighborhood home base, Doghouse Tavern absolutely nails it. Tucked away in Denver, this spot is the definition of a true local gem—unpretentious, welcoming, and packed with personality.
First off, the food is way above typical pub fare. We’re talking juicy, flavor-packed burgers, crispy wings with a variety of sauces, and comfort food classics like nachos, fish and chips, and loaded sandwiches. Everything comes out clearly made with care—it’s the kind of menu where you’ll want to come back just to try everything. Elena is the best cook.
The staff deserves fanfare. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to see you walk through the door, they create that rare vibe where you feel like a regular—even on your first visit. Service is fast, drinks stay full, and there’s always someone ready with a smile, a casual conversation, or a recommendation.
And then there’s the atmosphere—pure neighborhood magic. It’s laid-back and lively at the same time, with pool tables, TVs for the game, fire-place patio, and a crowd that’s there to relax and have a good time. The dog-friendly patio is the best and everything gives that authentic, community-driven feel that’s hard to fake.
But what really sets Doghouse Tavern apart is its local culture and entertainment. This isn’t just a bar—it’s a gathering place. Whether it’s karaoke night (which is always a blast), trivia, or just a packed evening of locals unwinding together, there’s a sense of connection here you don’t find in bigger, flashier venues. It’s the kind of place where strangers become friends over a song and a drink.“
“The hospitality at this location is unmatched from the employees all the way to the owner!
the atmosphere & decor is a vibe!
I can’t wait to come back to Denver and visit this location not to mention the drinks and the prices are amazing!“

“This bar is awesome but the service at the front is not great. i will say, the bartender megan was amazing and really helped me out when my waiter wouldn't. she offered me a free shot for the inconvenience and was very friendly“
“This was a nice place to visit and hang out for our dance convention. We had a bit of an in prompt too managers reception. Chips, drinks, played some cards. The atmosphere is great. Very spread out, tv every place.
The food was a bit underwhelming. We got the chip trio with salsa, guacamole and qeuso. All three dips were the same tempature, cool. I thought maybe the qeuso would be warm. No, it was alright thou. The salsa looked like such, but tasted like nothing. I thing just tomato sauce with garlic salt and red pepper flakes would have more salsa flavor than what we got. All the same, it was a good enough snack to accompany our beverages.
The service is great and after a snafu with the credit card company the next day, their tram was prompt to get back to me and resolve the issue, or non issue. This was a nice suprise and well received by me.
Overall, I'd go back and maybe just try a different food type item.“

“this bar was amazing! all of the staff were friendly, the djs played great music, but i have to brag on your security guard. I didn't catch his name but he made being in a bar alone as a woman feel safe. He watched my drink for me when I had to take care of a friend, he made sure I made it to the Uber safely, he even made a guy leave that was making my friend and I uncomfortable. He went above and beyond what his job was. Every time I go to Denver, i will stop by. thank you, sir, whatever your name is.“

“This is a great little dive bar with surprisingly friendly staff! It looks a bit rough and tumble but I assure you it's not. The drinks were well made and the regulars were very friendly. I don't make it to this part of town very often, but if I do I'll be returning to this place. Please note that I didn't try the food so I can't speak to it.“

“Enjoyed the food and drinks, played a couple games of shuffle board until the bartender “kindly” came up and accused my spouse of “staring” at women at the bar when he was watching the sports game on tv behind their head. The women and bartender then became extremely hostile and rude as we were trying to figure out what the problem was kind you this was 2 pm on a Saturday….one of the weirdest most uncomfortable situations I’ve ever experienced and won’t be back“

“Savannah at Gin Mill in downtown Denver was incredible. St. Patrick’s Day was packed, but she handled the crowd like a pro and kept the drinks coming without long waits. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone at the bar felt taken care of. Great energy, super personable, and clearly knows how to run a busy bar. If you’re at Gin Mill, ask for Savannah you’ll be glad you did.“
“While trying to improve my basics, I find this to be a great atmosphere for learning. Great instructors, as well as some Intermediate and advanced dancers who are willing to dance with you while you're growing. Just overall great experience of salsas and bachata“

“When my friend comes back in town for a visit, we alternate between different bars to get our group of Cowboys fans together. Choppers has been on that rotation for years, depending on the time of the game and who else is playing. This place gets packed! It's normal for sports bars to be packed on game day but something about this layout makes it feel especially crowded. It's loud, again, not uncommon. Sometimes the service is a little slow, nothing that's annoying and everything that's understanding when it's busy. We usually go for wings or nachos and order pitchers because of our group size. It's good portions, if a little pricier than other places. The crowds are usually friendly and enthusiastic, which makes it a fun environment for sports fans. For a change-up from downtown, this is a good place to consider.“
