Not sure why this place gets bad reviews. I am staying in the hotel and had dinner at the bar in a Sunday night. It was rather busy. Service was great and the food was shockingly delicious. I had the grilled salmon with fingerling and broccolini. Bar seating was fine w me. I posted up in the corner next to the wall and it felt cozy. The desserts are made in house. I had strawberry shortcut and took it to my room. Very good.
After a long day of travel, the zoo, and the museum, we checked into the Hyatt and decided dinner out wasn't happening. So we ordered room service from Root25. It arrived fast (20 minutes!), it was perfectly cooked, and delicious. I was expecting mediocre food, but it was anything but ordinary. The flavors were fresh and balanced, and the portions were surprisingly large. A great meal to end a long day. Highly recommend if you want something hardy and delicious.
The reason atmosphere is so low is that it feels like a cafeteria unless you set at the bar and don't look behind. The service was slow, very, despite the fact that it wasn't that busy. Ordered a 3oz pour of the good stuff and got two. I do this all the time and anyone who drinks whiskey knows what two ounces in a highball glass looks like. Naturally, I complained. The waitress, who was not to blame took it back and the bartender supposedly measured and claimed 3 oz. Methinks...read full review
