50 Best Vegetarian Restaurants in Denver

“Please note this review is about the CHEF'S COUNTER EXPERIENCE, which they make a point of saying is separate from the main restaurant experience.

To be honest, I was pretty disappointed. The meal (two tasting menus plus two wine pairings) came out to $700 and it simply wasn't worth it. Part of the issue is the 22% service charge which they include automatically. I already don't like when 18% service charges are included automatically. 22% is obnoxious.

The service was very good, but not good enough to pay that much for. The food on the other hand was OK. I give the dishes an A- or B+ on unique and interesting. But some were too salty, and the overall flavors just didn't wow me enough to warrant a $700 price tag for dinner for two. The wine pairings were excellent though, and they served some very good and interesting wines.

I'd like to try the normal restaurant at some point, but wouldn't do the chef's counter experience again.“

“This was the best sushi I have ever tasted in my entire life. I have never been to Japan but I can only imagine that it tastes like this. The yellow tail sashimi was AMAZING. It was so buttery and smooth and it tasted so amazing. I can still remember how incredibly it tasted and my mouth is watering thinking about it.“

“This restaurant(s) is so unique and incredibly sophisticated no matter what venue you are looking for this is the place! The atmosphere is awesome due to the incredible décor, large screen, a multitude of different type of seating, large TV’s located all around the bar! The service and restaurant is second to none! The bartenders are so professional and friendly. Believe it or not we were actually asked if we were satisfied with our drinks! We were politely and professionally served our many food and drink selections! When our pizza slices were served, my mouth dropped, because I have never seen slices of pizza so huge! I have not had a slice of pizza that was so good with just the right amount of tasty toppings on mine! We ordered chicken wings, half naked and half buffalo wing sauce. The chicken wings had been fried to perfection and was so good we could not make up our minds which type of chicken wings was the best, so we called it a pleasingly tie!“

“This place is out of this world!!! Unbelievable fresh seafood, and the fried and fresh oysters were phenomenal! We got there at happy hour and ordered a bunch of stuff, and it was so good, we then ordered dinner too! Stuffed, but not weird greasy cheeseburger stuffed, happy stuffed! Dior was the man too! “An amazing experience and I've been to many speakeasy! I enjoyed the atmosphere to include their drinks. I had their Sun Sleeper and it was as if gold touched my tongue. Jose the mixologist was great and amazing, made the experience even better.“

“Best ramen EVER! We stumbled upon Uncle over a decade ago, and since then anytime we’re in CO we come for dinner. The spicy chicken ramen is hands down the best, love all of the bao buns, eggplant is my favorite, but can’t go wrong with crab or pork belly ones either. We’ve never had anything bad, service is always great too! Be sure to make a reservation.“

“Because it is a restaurant on the Michelin guide, I gave it a try. There is no doubt that this is a Western-style Chinese restaurant. The cold dishes were okay. We ordered bang bang chicken salad and beef tongue and tripe. Although bang bang chicken salad has nothing to do with authentic Sichuan bang bang chicken, I actually tasted the taste of Qianlong cabbage. The beef tongue and tripe is the best in the show, and the chili oil is very good. Twice cooked pork belly (twice-cooked pork) has a lot of meat, but the meat is cut too thick and does not stir-fry out the light nests that twice-cooked pork should have. Moreover, the twice-cooked pork should be stir-fried with black bean sauce and sweet noodle sauce. The twice-cooked pork here only has the taste of sweet noodle sauce and not the taste of black bean sauce. Stir-fried shanghai bok choy (stir-fried shanghai bok choy) is not stir-fried, but is made in a way similar to the soup of baby cabbage. Moreover, this soup should be made with a lot of relish, not boiled broth.
All in all, foreigners who just want to eat high-end Western-style Chinese food can come here, but Chinese people who want to eat hometown food don't have to try it.“

“Great ramen. It’s overpriced, but what isn’t these days? I just fundamentally don’t think they should charge extra for their spice bomb. Any pho place provides chili oil at no charge. The place is great, but wow it gets expensive for the moderate amount of food you’re getting.“

“Middleman is an amazing cocktail bar. We also LOVE the food at Misfit Snack Bar (which is part of Middleman). The burger is always on the menu (and is amazing) and they rotate their menu frequently. The drinks are super unique and inventive. The staff is lovely and they make everyone feel like regulars. They also host really fun events. We recently went near Halloween and they hosted a pumpkin carving contest with fun prizes and swags. Highly recommend!

“The food is great! One of the best breakfast/brunch places in the area for sure. I love the bacon fried rice with habanero bacon, the crepes, the breakfast burrito, duck fried rice, and vietnamese coffee.

The indoor space was small, loud, and crowded when I was there in person. It was also very hot inside when I went there in the summer. May have just been an off day or something. There is often a wait with a crowd of people waiting outside on the weekends.“

“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“
