“This place was absolutely amazing! We get lots of great Mexican food in Texas and wasn't expecting much but was blown away. I got the fajita combo with green chili sauce. Meat was perfectly cooked, fresh homemade tortillas, and out of this world green chili sauce. I was going to take a picture but it filled the whole table. Definitely on my top list in Denver.“
“Food is authentic Mexican food. It is prepared very authentic and tastes and looks great. Service is superb. Owner is so friendly and down to earth just a great person in general. All staff is friendly and even if busy you can tell they care . Atmosphere is great. Margaritas are the best ive ever tasted. Again food is very authentic and the best Mexican food I've had outside of home.“
“Had an incredible dining experience at El Taco de Mexico. From the welcoming atmosphere to the mouthwatering food, everything exceeded my expectations. A must-visit destination for anyone craving real Mexican cuisine!Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and gluten freeKid-friendliness: Several kids were there!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp“
“Everything about this spot is phenomenal. Have tried all the tacos now and each has been top notch. Fresh chips, solid guac/queso. Tasty dranks and their happy hour goes longer/later than most. Service has been extremely friendly and quick at the bar each time.“
“I was in Denver recently for 5 days and I ate here three times. The owner made me feel very welcome and even kept "my" table for me when I was meeting a friend for lunch. By the end of my trip I felt like we were friends and of course the food was just delicious! I will definitely be stopping in again next time I'm in town. I really miss those fish tacos :-)“
“Kike’s offers more than just delicious food – it’s an experience. From the house-made chips to Brenda’s amazing margaritas, every item on the menu is crafted with care and held to the highest standards. But what truly sets Kike’s apart is the welcoming staff. Their genuine smiles and exceptional service elevate your experience, making every visit a pleasure. For a taco joint that combines outstanding food with warm hospitality, Kike’s is the place to be.If you are reading this, you are wasting your time by not driving there right now.“
“Wandering around Denver and happened upon this spot. Asked for a recommendation, server said her favorite was the carnitas torta. Boy it didn't disappoint ? that and a Jamaica (hibiscus) drink? yepppp. It's the sandwich bread for me. Flavorful, soft, tasty! Treat yoself“
“This lil neighborhood eatery has become a regular place to visit. Always delicious, servers are always on it, and it's always full of happy foodies. It's a nice place place just to hang out for a drink, have a taco.. it's a must try if you're ever in the area.“
“This is a new restaurant, so I want to be sure to give them a shout out! Great food, amazing prices, great service, and fast!! Five stars, I feel lucky to have this restaurant so close to my house! Try the pupusas, they are delicious!! They even have good options for my kids!“
“We held our office Christmas party at El Jefe Restaurant in Denver this year in their "private" dining area. It was absolutely wonderful and all of our employees really enjoyed it! Jessie was so easy to work with in making the arrangements. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable and they gave us a lot of extras that made the whole experience fantastic! I would highly recommend booking a holiday or special event party at El Jefe, your guests will rave about your choice! Definitely 5 Stars!! Lorie Cramer, Ofc. Mngr., Extra Building Materials, Denver, CO“
“Absolutely delicious! I had a Torta de Milanesa, by husband had a burrito de Asada, and our kids tried de Quesadilla con Pollo and Tacos de Asada. Everything was delicious. HUGE PORTIONS. Quick and polite service. Huge bang for your buck considering the amount of food they give you! So happy to have found this gem! Esta comida si es auténtica! My husband and I moved to the neighborhood in July and had been mourning the loss of having good authentic Mexican food minutes away. We would drive all the way back to our old neighborhood (because who wants Torchy’s ? ) Needless to say, so excited about discovering this place!“
“Had a really good time at Pete’s, not only is the food amazing but they’ve played a big part in Denver history. Our bartender Jessie was amazing, the drinks were great and affordable! I definitely recommend coming to Pete’s Satire, chilling, and getting a couple drinks and playing some games. Great environment and music!“
“Really good and authentic Mexican food. The green Chile is a bit weird as I haven't had it with so much pepper and seasoning. However the tamales, enchiladas, and Chile Relleno were sooo good. Very delicious and very affordable pricing. Strong margaritas and overall a great hole in the wall restaurant.“
“Our apartment complex offered breakfast burritos this morning from Lily's Cocina. I tried the steak burrito and potatoes and egg burrito. Both were tasty and pretty good size! Half a burrito was filling. Little spicy but I like that. Will definitely be back!“
“Food was so tasty and the place is clean. Service was very friendly and there are a lot of Mexican items. The place smelled so good the prices were fair. Wouldn't mind coming back here again. The place is not fancy, but the vibe is great.“
“This is one of the best Mexican Restaurants in Denver, I’ve been going here for a year and never once had an issue, food is always good, and I have order soups, burritos, enchiladas, tacos, combinations, I dine in and order to go! You will not be disappointed“
“The food was so delicious! I got Pepian, a chuchito, and an agua de tamarindo. This is for sure my new go-to spot for Guatemalan food. The service was great too - my server was attentive and kind. The atmosphere was adorable, clean, and the music was good. 15/10 recommend this place for their Guatemalan menu section and I'm sure the rest is also delicious! ?“
“This place is the real deal. The food was amazing, but more than that the staff was friendly, happy, and helpful. I would eat here everyday. So many amazing options on the menu it was hard to pick. But I honestly believe you can't go wrong.“
“Food and sauces, everything very delicious, very good service, very friendly waitresses.I'll definitely be back soon. The only thing is that the tip is already included in the bill, I was thinking of giving more to the waitress but they had already charged me. ??“
“Hands down the best, most authentic street tacos I’ve had yet. I had the tacos Al Pastor, Barbacoa, and Carnitas and of those, I’d have to say the Al Pastor was my favorite, the pineapple really added the perfect citrus bite I was looking for.“
“Typical little Mexican trailer joint. The quesabirria tacos is what I got, and they were bomb. The hot and medium sauce that comes with it is bomb as well. 100% recommendParking: Parking is a little tuff but it ain’t badWheelchair accessibility: It’s for sure wheelchair accessible“
“If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! We came here with 6 people and they sat us immediately! Our server was amazing! He kept our drinks full and great recommendations, too. Please note this place is not wheelchair friendly, they have over 20 stairs you have to go down because it's on the lower level, I don't know if there is an elevator somewhere I didn't see but we had a stroller and had to take the baby out to bring the stroller down with us.We shared the queso fundido and added chorizo, and that was the best decision! They give you tortillas to pull apart the cheese, the cheese was so stringy, and the chorizo was amazing! They have this awesome deal where you get 12 tacos for $57, it was perfect for us because we were gonna get 2 tacos each anyway. I chose the chorizo taco because it had mango salsa, and it was to die for! I could eat that taco every day! I also chose the pastor chicken, and the pineapple salsa was the perfect pairing.I got the fruitas margarita because I had to try thier tequila. It was perfect! It's not too sweet but yet really strong. I liked the sugar on the rim and the dried fruit added. They do not skimp on the alcohol! It was so strong that I was feeling it after only half. This place was so amazing, I highly recommend coming here!“
“I grew up in this neighborhood in the 80's and 90's. This location used to be a Taco Bell, so going back felt a little wild. I wasn't sure if they spoke English, so I ordered in Spanish (I'm guessing either is fine). I'm a fan of these little gems, and La Reyna didn't disappoint. The chips are warm, salsa is cold, tacos so good. My husband had a torta for the first time and thought it was great. Even my 12yo liked his quesadilla, and he's a hard man to please. I would definitely come here again when I'm in this part of town.“
“Gut busting masterpieces!Amazing over the top burgers and dogs stacked high with unimaginable toppings and condiments.Bring your appetite and then some. The large is bigger than your head, the regular is too much and the child's is a lot.Don't forget the tortas!“
“Hot, fresh crispy tortillas. Big meat portions. Salsas are solid but nothing to write home about. Would definitely recommend visiting.Al Pastor and Carnitas tacos were great- crispy and caramelized, yet soft texture. Carne Asada was very dry and lacked flavor. Don’t know if we just got a bad batch or not.“
“I love this restaurant for its gastronomy and for the kindness of its staff, the owners are beautiful people, thank you for having your gastronomy on our palate ❤️❤️❤️❤️ whenever we have the opportunity we go from Colado Springs to eat “
“I was there this past Saturday and absolutely loved the place, service and food. You not only have their menu but also the famous Adelitas menu, they shared the kitchen. We had the Tlayuda (Oaxaca dish) and Chile Colorado, it was so tasty, going back “
“We are from Dallas Texas. We went to go visit my daughter in Colorado over the weekend and we found this restaurant. The food is amazing. Not only did we go once we went twice they’re very nice people very kind. The service is amazing. I highly recommend the food I even got a caramel Cappuccino to go amazing my daughter got one of their green shakes and it was so good. I’m just hoping that when we go again to Colorado we are definitely going to stop there again. I had their green Chilaquiles and the red ones. My daughter had the French toast. She was in love with it and their pancakes oh my God they’re amazing to you would have to try those.“
“Stopped in here to get dinner real fast before a concert down the street. We were unaware it was a sit down place, we ordered and asked for it to go. our server Spencer was amazing, and made it happen for us. we ate the food a few minutes later while in line for the concert and all had an instant moment of wishing we could savor the tacos longer. If they were open later we would have come back for round 2.Parking: parking just to the right of the building. there are signs that the post office (next door) will have vehicles towed if they are parked over night. but for your time at the restaurant cars are safe here. There is also a small amount of street parking but it is residential across the street so I'm not sure how often those spots are available.“
“Very delicious tacos. My family and I ordered different types of tacos and a quesadilla for my little son.My wife is not Hispanic but when you live in Texas you are exposed to different types of flavors...and we know when we eat a good taco.So as not to make this comment long. When we got to the hotel and finished eating my wife wanted to go back for more. But I was able to control the situation and we returned in the night for more.“
“Amazing trash can nachos and pork belly chicharrón with fresh smashed Guac that go perfectly with all the specialty drinks they have. The Margarita flight was awesome. Overall a pretty chill spot with great Vibes and cool atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back once the weather gets nicer the patio and brunch menu looks like it would be a hit.“
“Always a pleasure. This is one of the most random places but always a great spot for a good time. Pool tables in the back or sit at the bar in a boat captains chair. We work across the street so come in often, order some cluck chicken from next door and play pool. It's an awesome hang.“
“Tarascos is a must try! This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Lakewood, in my opinion. Their food tastes authentic and incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend their chicken mole enchiladas and melon Aguas fescas. They also have vegan options too and offer a variety of healthy options, which I thought was so cool!“
“The food was good. The drinks were incredible. And the vibe was just right. The staff are friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs.Vegetarian options: The manager or owner (couldn't tell) knew exactly which spirits and ingredients were vegan.“
“I’m about to make this a regular lunch spot!I was craving some street tacos today and decided to try someplace new, this truck popped up with such high reviews I that didn’t hesitate. Well let me tell you, it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Exactly what I wanted in some pastor tacos today. Salsa was great with heat and flavor. Cant wait to try more things on the menu! Very fair prices. Thank you!“
“Pretty busy area and hard to get into parking lot if you're not going S on Federal already and it could also be full, good luck backing out lol.But it's worth it. Best tortas I've ever had. Quesadillas are great too. Want to try the tacos but idk if I ever will because the tortas are out of this world.Affordable as well which is getting harder to find in Denver.“
“Thought I would try this place and grab a breakfast burrito/chips and salsa, and I'm glad I did. I got the bacon egg potato green chile and cheese breakfast burrito and it is one of my favorite breakfast burritos I've had in denver. The flavor was great, I was excited for the next bite and the bacon was cooked enough so It had crunch. Nice staff, fast service, great prices and amazing food, what more could you want? I will be back.“
“If I could only eat one meal forever, it would be their tacos al pastor with everything, including pineapple. Period, end of story. Bring cash. DON'T MISS OUT!!! Incredible. We are a northern Mexican household, and we approve this message.“
“This truck is down the street from the office I work in. It is consistently delicious. My co-workers and I go often and look forward to it and are never let down. My favorites are the chicken fajita bowl, chicken fajita burrito, carnitas tacos, and pastor tacos. I have tried other items on the menu, and honestly everything is so good. The crew is always nice, too. Prices are very reasonable.“

“Really good tacos ! Was nervous trying a taco place in Colorado since I'm from florida and am used to restaurants owned by mexican families. This place had delicious food, good portion sizes, and good pricing ! The staff were very friendly :) Would visit again !Parking: About 6-8 parking spots close by. In a shared space parking lot.“
“I hardly ever come back to update a review, that is unless I have a horribly bad experience at a place that was once good, or I come back to a place and have a really good experience again and again. I have eaten here so many times now. I am a sucker for their barbacoa tacos with avocado slices. It's just so damn good. I usually order 4 tacos because I try to not over eat, but I swear I could eat at least 14 of them. Service as usual is excellent. Always great at small talk, always great at making you feel like you've walked into a friends home. The artwork in the place has not changed much, but that is for good reason. The artwork on the walls is the same artwork that the original location had all those years ago. it's nice to see it up on the walls and it's great that it's well taken care of. Again, looks are not everything for a place, so don't let the looks get you down. Come inside and have some barbacoa tacos, or one of their wet burritos. It's so good.“
“The food was top down amazing!!! Would definitely recommend. Unfortunately there seemed to be one server for the whole place. We ended up being there for 3 hours waiting for various things like first set of drinks, food, ask for check , get check, pay ect. I felt bad because they could have had a table turnover after 1 hour. Don’t let that hold you back from going.“
“I looove the food here. I always bring any relatives from out of town here. My family from Houston ate here twice in one stay. They approved!Me encanta la comida de aquí. Siempre ordeno los tacos de asado con queso. También me encantas las gorditas.Parking: I’ve never had trouble finding parking. I tend to park in the adjacent lot but ymmv“
“Amazing food!!!! Exactly what you want in a Mexican restaurant! We got a cucumber margaritas and a jalapeño margarita and both were amazing!!! We have dietary restrictions and they were very respectful when taking our order and making sure everything was perfect!!! Couldn’t recommend more!“
“Not only were there ample portions of extraordinarily delicious down-home Mexican cooking, this restaurant was quiet enough to hear one another speak. Everything was excellent, from the main entre (Combo #3 - chili relleno, cheese enchilada, and taco) right down to the side order of beans and rice. La Grande Mexicana is one of Denver's best kept culinary secrets for authentic Mexican cuisine at reasonable prices. We will definitely be back soon!“
“the food was fabulous and the service was 5 star but the dining was to dark to read the menus and way to close to other seating also way to loud to where you couldn't hear your other person when they talked you would have to literally raise your voice.....first time there prolly wouldn't return“
“Run down family owned restaurant. Not super clean or modern but got the pork burritos, smothered and the green Chile was awesome. Pork was seasoned well. And the price was more than reasonable. I would certainly visit again to try something else on the menu.“
“The Al Pastor tacos were excellent. The woman who waited on us was so kind and helpful. She even offered us glasses of water and provided an extra hot salsa when I asked if they had one. We'll definitely be back next time we're in “
“This place is one of a kind! I’ve never had an experience like this one! Chef Johnny and Kasie have absolutely nailed it with this concept! This food makes me wish that I lived in Denver!!! Will be back whenever I’m in town! Thanks for the unforgettable experience!!!“
