“My husband and I love this place! The shredded beef burritos are excellent and we always get them smothered in green chili and the green chili is fabulous! The owners are a husband and wife team and they are always very happy to see us and come by and let us know that they are happy to see us. Also, the margaritas are great. We recommend coming here and we will be back!“

Also the quesadilla especially the chicken is by far not even close the best I have ever had, every place I move I try the quesadilla and it never lives up. You don't know what you have until you move away. And their orange salsa is fire. I would love for them to open a restaurant in Omaha. “I came here with my friend to get some Menudo the only thing that surprised me was the menudo has pozole hominy inside which I’m not use to eating it like that but either way it was delicious as they serve you with a toasted bread and all the cilantro and onions and limes your need. I had an agua fresca to go with it which was delicious.“

“This is, in my opinion, the best Mexican food in Denver. I will admit, I am a gringo who bases this review off my favorite dish at any Mexican restaurant - Combo plate with a relleno, burrito and enchilada; but Los Alcatraces is above and beyond anywhere else I have tried.
The green chile has a great lingering heat and flavor to it. The rellenos are perfectly cooked and the cheese and onion enchilada with red sauce is divine.
I have had many versions of my combo plate across Denver, this is the absolute best.“

Prices are super reasonable. I ordered a smothered burrito with green chili with shredded beef. It was delicious. All the food tasted fresh. Rice was homemade & authentic tasting. Refried beans were good. I was surprised and they give you a lot of food I felt. If you get the chili rellano, they use Poblano peppers, not Anaheim. They have a lunch menu but you can order anything on lunch menu for dinner as well. It’s a family owned business that has been serving for 33 years. Very clean. Very nice workers and great customer service. It was also very fast. Plenty of parking outside. I will be going back.“

It’s family owned and their dishes bring the flavor of Mexico as though you were on vacation. Excellent Margaritas!!! Showcase dishes are Chilaquiles, Pozole, and Gorditas. Haven’t found anything in Denver like it!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!“

“I'm a truck driver and had to park on the same street as this food truck the night before not knowing they would be here.
When I woke up I saw them and went straight to Google reviews. Most were not lying this place is sooo good.
I had the Cartel burrito and it was tasty and affordable ($7, they accept CC.).
The people are also helpful, friendly and courteous.
I will be stopping here when I make my deliveries nearby.

“We go here a lot for the chili rellenos because they are the best we ever had, but today the rellenos were even better! Please don’t ever change the recipe. This establishment has a good thing going with perfect service, food, atmosphere and prices. I just wish they were open in the evenings but the food is so good that we will arrange our meal times around their open schedule. Young lady at counter was so nice and cook was very friendly. Prices are reasonable, and you order at the counter. My huevos ranchero came on a large plate with three eggs for $14.
The kitchen is in full view from the small dining area, which often can be crowded. Parking is limited, especially the times when 18-wheeler rigs park on the roadside.
