“One word DELICIOUS. If you like Mexican food and spicy hot salsa like me this is the place for you. There's another salsa that's not a spicy in case you don't like it spicy. They got a deal for 4 tacos for $10. They also have authentic Mexican fruit drinks like strawberry mango coconut and horchata. And if you've never had a Mexican dessert called choco flan they sell this too it's very good.“

“One of the BEST CARNITAS BURRITO I have ever had. Of all the taco trucks in the area, this one is the best. Fresh Pico, great tasting beans and pork, crispy tortilla and really big. Only $9 too! I love me some taco truck and this one is Tops. I'll definitely keep coming back for more super good 🌯 burritos.“

“Look for the lush blue and green farmland panorama juxtaposing out from the questionable pedestrians hunch shuffling across the rutted sidewalks along Colfax, the deep historical pride of Denver. Here you will experience Mexican food hope located floating in the parking lot of a very vibrant tire repair place where it appears you can just drive up and they will jack up your car very quickly replacing one or four tires with not necessarily matching ones. Eat while getting fresh rubber!
On my first visit, I went for breakfast and got the b/fast burrito but instead of the default chorizo it comes with, I asked for carne asada (steak) as chorizo is one of those questionable intestinal meat delicacies that is a coin toss whether I will feel OK or if my stomach will be processing or rejecting the cursed tastiness for the next many hours/days.
I ordered it smothered which came with a solid green chili and I asked for a jalapeño as well which came out nice and roasted which slowly melted and lasted like a spicy green jalapeño jolly rancher in my mouth — sweet and spicy. Olé! The friendly ladies only gave me a red sauce, so I recommend asking for the verde (green) also as both are classically done with a medium kick.
My burro was slathered in a thick layer of Oaxaca cheese, which IYKYK. If you don’t, this is the Mexican version of mozzarella, but I swear they have the Italians beat. It is creamy and buttery and just plain delicious as it lovingly oozes across your tongue into your soul.
The beans were clearly freshly made, and the carne asada was seasoned perfectly. Overall, I enjoyed this burrito so much I only ate half of it to save the rest for later, and I’m a voracious eater. I paid $15 for this plus a Lipton tea, which was almost frozen like a slushy. So unexpected and so Mario’s Tacos!
I might not recommend this place for you ladies at night without some confident guards at your sides or at least be jujitsu-trained and packing with a heightened awareness for the unexpected. Totally worth it!“

“La Hormiga is our go-to local spot for amazing birria—always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The tortillas taste homemade, and the consomé is rich and comforting. If you visit, you must try the machete at least once—it’s huge, packed with fillings, and absolutely delicious. Great portions, great service, great value.“

“Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon. Great place. I had a hot link and some brisket with a side of dirty rice. I also tried the collard greens. Best. Greens. I’ve. Ever. Had. Rest of the food was delicious as well. The owner, q, was extremely personable and fun to shoot the breeze with. Go. Best soul food in Colorado.“

“I’m going to give my honest review. I was born in Colombia and I’m very familiar with the cuisine. Not all the menu items are good—the hot dogs are delicious and the burgers are very tasty. However, we ordered the picada once and it was awful: the meat was dry and didn’t taste fresh. We’ve also ordered burgers twice; today, the burger was noticeably smaller than usual, which was very disappointing.
Overall, the food can be good, but consistency needs to improve. When I order the same item, I expect it to be the same quality and size as before—not something much smaller. I’ll most likely come back because some of their items are very good, but the price should match the size and quality. And please, take the picada off the menu if it can’t be done right. A proper Colombian picada is out of this world, and what you served wasn’t a fair representation.
Overall, I like this spot—I just wanted to give some honest feedback.“
