Excellent food of Mexico - not Tex-Mex but Mexico. Eating tacos overstuffed with carnitas & cochinita pibil, some hot just fried huge chips & thick fresh guac, washed down with a pina agua fresca, it was obvious there is talented heart, soul and pride poured into each tasty bite. This is truly like going home for dinner - maybe better (especially if I am cooking)! Don't come here expecting fast or cheap, because that's not their lane. Cocinita Mexicana offers insanely delicious and authentic Mexican food made with love, described by many as the best they have ever had. The menu features incredibly tasty barbacoa tacos, flautas, carnitas, and excellent chips with flavorful salsa and pico. The Menudo soup is delicious with a warm broth, served with warm bread and fresh toppings. Desserts are also excellent.
While a little on the pricier side, the portions are great and the food is packaged as it should be, often including a handwritten note or personal touch. The quality is high, with careful attention to food allergies and even high-quality plasticware. Many find it significantly better than other Mexican food spots. It is a spectacular place, highly recommended and worth the wait.
