My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant! Guadalajara style authentic cuisine, im always excited for!! Food is ALWAYS fresh, made from scratch, and full of flavor! The complimentary 4 SALSAS are another factor that makes them stand out!! Scratch made tortillas!!

Los Carboncitos - Sheridan serves amazing authentic Mexican food with all natural margaritas made with real agave. The Birria tacos and steak Gordita are popular choices, and the gorditas are described as "to die for," with authentic flavors that remind guests of Mexico. The extensive menu includes tacos de pollo, carne asada, carnitas, and a smothered carnitas burrito, though the house made chorizo comes highly recommended for its stunningly delicious, layered flavors and slightly pan-seared, crispy texture. On a cold day, the Caldo de res and Sopa de azteca are perfect—amazing, flavorful, and comforting. Guests receive five different salsas upon sitting down, all spicy but good, with lime wedges included. The chips and green chili are notably delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and lovely, with service that makes guests feel welcome immediately. The horchata, mixed drinks, and beer selection are also good. Prices are very reasonable, offering a phenomenal deal for the quality. With takeout available twice a week for some, it is considered the best Mexican food in Denver.
