“I’m writing this review to offer a giant, heart-felt thank you to our server and the other staff present last night: thank you so, so very much for your kindness, prompt assistance and thoughtfulness when our friend had a medical episode during our meal. Our server caught our friend by the arm as he nearly fainted and held on to him until we realized what was going on. Another sweet staff ran over and asked what they could do multiple times throughout the event and brought some beneficial items. We just can’t thank you both enough for going out of your way during a busy dinner shift to ensure we were all alright. That occurrence could have been embarrassing and a scene in such a public space, but you preserved our friend’s dignity and safety. Thank you immensely and please take good care of yourselves. Thank you. Thank you.On the food (preface: I don’t make much money and get real serious about expensive food. I also lived in Portland, OR for a decade where the food is generally insanely good and moderately priced for the quality and diversity of options): for the price, the food was fine: our curries were maybe a little boring, the banh mi bowl was just simple roasted veggies, the buffalo tofu wrap was flavorful and fresh, mashed pots and gravy exactly what you’d hope, perfect fries; drinks were good. “The chicken and waffles is SO GOOD. I've had other vegan chicken-n-waffles at other vegan restaurants that was mid, so I was a bit hesitant to try this out, but I'm so glad I did. Everything about it was excellent: the cauliflower chicken, the waffle, the carrot bacon, the chive cream. I wish I knew how they get their carrot bacon so crisp.“
“I can not say enough about Janakpur. This restaurant was recommended over many other local Indian places and apparently for a reason. Hands down delicious. I ordered the mushroom curry (vegetarian), Sweet Potato Masala (Vegan), and papad (gluten-free). Everything was very flavorful with the perfect amount of heat, spices, and so super tasty. The customer service was very helpful and informative. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Jaipar. Thanks guys, a truly amazing experience!“

“Tarascos is a must try! This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Lakewood, in my opinion. Their food tastes authentic and incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend their chicken mole enchiladas and melon Aguas fescas.They also have vegan options too and offer a variety of healthy options, which I thought was so cool!“

“Yummy food and excellent service! We (2 girlfriends) split Vegetarian Rice Cakes (Bánh Căn Chay) and Chicken Curry, and the serving sizes were just enough - and we were hungry. Service was excellent and we were greeted, checked on during & after the meal, and greeted as we left. Seems to be family run and all staff seemed to be working well together and enjoying their evening as well.“
