“When I have friends stopping through town on the way to the slopes or even a convention, I usually take them to Avanti. They’re gonna see the mountains, usually have a day or two planned to explore them. I think it’s nice to showcase our city skyline and the view of downtown from the spacious upstairs bar and patio. The city lights just glistening at night from that vantage point… The food court features local eateries and usually covers every flavor for a lunch or dinner palette. The vine list is refreshing... parking does stink on weekends because the area is so popular. It's got a lot of screens to watch games or open seating to catch up with friends.“

“An extraordinary meal where four of us basically ordered 90% of what was on the menu. It came out with a speed that was a bit overwhelming and we didn't know what to taste first. But the concept of all dishes being shared and apportioned to the number of guests at the table is already a huge plus: no agonizing over how to split orders - it's already been done. Highly recommend the Dragon Whiskers, Gai Lan, Pork Ribs, Duck Roll, Lamb noodles with neck, with sadly the expensive grilled bass being a pass: it was dry and lacked the anticipated flavor. “Wow. I have wanted to visit here since my arrival in Denver and finally had the opportunity last night. The cast was surreal, the energy on stage was electric and contagious. We didn’t have to search for laughs or generate excitement for applause it came naturally and often. The entire affair was incredible and lasted far too short. Before we knew it the show had ended and curtains drawn, but left us wanting more.

Were the drinks great? Yes, but we didn’t pay attention. Food? People go here for food? Anyway, this was such an engaging time with such an amazing cast. The only tragedy here are the people that got this to a 4.5 instead of all 5 stars.

One other thing that may seem minor but when you go, be sure to appreciate the ground floor of the Clocktower as you enter. The marble splashed walls and vintage chandeliers that have been there for well over a century, looming over so many visitors is a part of history that you get to participate in. Almost observing (judgement free of course) as you descend to the basement of this magical venue. The attention to decor at TCC follows that reverence in so many subtle nods that adds to the experience and shouldn’t be overlooked.“

“My boyfriend and I came here because we had a Groupon for a flight, cocktail, and distillery tour. It was awesome! The tour guide, Andy (I think that was his name) was very personable and down to earth. He had some good jokes/puns. The bartender was sweet and we met the owner briefly. We each chose different liquors for our flights and enjoyed each one plus our cocktails were great. My personal favorite for the flight was the V.I. Rum. After the tour we also got the maple bacon old fashioned which was different but equally delicious. Everything on the menu looked great and while we didn't try any of the food offerings, we will definitely be back. The bar was an intimate setting and the pinball machines were great. We live in Aurora but we can't wait to come back as this place is definitely worth the drive for us!“

“A friend wanted to meet for dinner and mentioned tapas. Doing a quick search I came across Olde Town Social, and my friend agreed it looked like a solid option.
When I arrived, my friend was already there and had ordered an old fashion and he was quite happy with his selection and told me it was made with a smoke infusion in front of him.
When we sat down our server was prompt without hovering. He was quite engaging and we quickly established he was the owner (I am not always quick on the uptake). He answered our questions on the menu and we found out he has a history as a chef, and the menu showed it. We ordered the shishito peppers, the wedge salad and the ribs. I always love a good wedge salad, and this one didn't disappoint, in part because it was already prepared to be shared. The ribs were definitely a highlight and surprising - a unique dish that I will order again :) We finished up with some sliders.
I also appreciated that they have live music, movie nights, trivia nights and more. I will definitely be returning - solo, with friends and with out of towners.“

“Simply incredible! I had the absolute pleasure of visiting this bar last night. Upon entering this establishment, I was greeted by two of the best bartenders that I have ever encountered. Sean and Mello are fantastic. They represent everything that is good about the Mile High City. They are very polite and professional. I will definitely return here whenever I am visiting Denver.

“The first time we went, last year, it was such a great time and overall experience but this last was nothing even close. It was so busy that you couldn’t get a drink or golf. The bathroom had to be cleaned because someone urinated everywhere.
Not sure we will return….“
