“This was our first time at this particular Tokyo Joe's and it has become my favorite. The restaurant was immaculate. Even the bathrooms were spotless. The food was fresh and carefully prepared. The staff were awesome, Kind and attentive. I dropped the lid of my cup that I had brought in and one of the kind people took it back and washed it for me. Though this is a little farther than the one we usually go to, we will drive the extra miles to this particular Tokyo Joe's.“

I ordered through their website, it was very easy, and 10 minutes later I arrived and it was ready moments later. It was hot and fresh, packed in a box for easy carrying. I'll be back.“

The oddity of the meal was the tiny containers with the dumpling sauce, they’re so small they used two and so small you can’t dip the dumplings in them.“

Their flavors are not really imitating meat, they take the essence of the meat flavor and add or adjust it to better enhance natural tastes found in the rest of the dish. Most vegan places I’ve been to just imitate and then over season-sometimes severely. This place is truly revolutionizing how food can be extraordinary and vegan. “Meals were excellent and huge! Enough for another meal or two. I had green curry with chicken and fried rice and husband had teriyaki beef with broccoli. Fried rice didn’t really have any vegetables or eggs in. It was mostly just rice, but it was fine for a side instead of white rice. Definitely not a “five star” restaurant, but I thought it deserved better than a four, since I often won’t go to a restaurant with a four rating and I would definitely eat here again (or order out) if I wanted nicely priced good meal. Staff friendly!“

“We had only been to the Bao location downtown but we wanted to see how the Tennyson location was. It did not disappoint! We had a wonderful server, Beth, who was so attentive and sweet. She made sure to check on us frequently and even informed us if she was not going to be available for a minute or two. She made sure to celebrate us when we told her we had just moved to Denver recently. She welcomed us and even gave us some suggestions on areas of Denver to explore. Honestly, best server experience we have ever had in Denver. She also made sure to share with us the different fun nights they do at Bao Tennyson so we could return for jeapordy, wing Wednesday and more! The food was absolutely amazing. Still the same amazing cuisine as the downtown location which was great!
I did take off one star for atmosphere only because the music was horribly loud and there were only 2 parties in the restaurant. Our server had asked the DJ to turn it down for us but he did not unfortunately. I would say to management to ask the DJ to not play so loud when theres only two tables filled in the restaurant and when a server says a guest wants the music turned down to actually listen to her.

“Food is usually great, but not as impressed yesterday. Their online ordering link from their website has been broken for 2 months and nobody in the restaurant seems to be able to tell me what online ordering platform to use. Please update your website. They are also now charging extra to use a credit card and tap to pay, when everybody uses credit cards these days and tap to pay. The salad is no longer mixed greens, but simply romaine lettuce, and incurs a $1 up charge. The $1 miso cup of soup add-on is gone and all that remains is a $2.50 pint option. What I used to appreciate here seems to be disappearing.“

We were promised patio heaters that never happened which severely cut our visit short, spending limited with limited tipping. Even the thought of returning will require a far more serious consideration of the weather as Chuey Fu’s had little to no respect for our group of 40 customers. Parking is limited so prepare for a hunt. For me I can’t think of any reason to return other than the service provided by the ladies who waited on us. Service - Terrific Food - Mediocre Atmosphere - Uninspiring Ambience - Shivered the entire time. Beverage - (Margaritas) used bad mix or rot gut tequila or perhaps both.“

“Soooo good! I crave this place weekly! I saw bad reviews about the beef hot pot but I thought it was delicious! The beef is supposed to be cooked prior and dipped in their house sauce. The house sauce is perfect for dipping and all the veggies and add ons in the hot pot were great. I can barely finish it every time because there’s so much so it’s two meals for me. Their Thai hot pot is also one of the my favs and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the owners are so sweet and accommodating. The French Onion Soup Dumplings, The Pot Stickers, Pork Belly Bao Buns and cocktails were fantastic, the Edamame Dumplings and General Cho’s Soup Dumplings were good as well. We didn’t care for the Wagyu Beef Skewers but that’s just a personal preference. All in all a terrific late lunch, and we will absolutely be back! The staff was terrific and welcoming.“

“I had the veggie and tofu lomein and I added broccoli and snap peas 😍😍😍 BEST vegan food I have EVER had at an Asian restaurant!!! I got to talk to the chef that explained the lomein is a Vietnamese lomein. He cooked it PERFECTLY. it was not over or under sauced. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The tofu was also cooked to perfection. It was a slam dunk! ALL THE WAY! I forgot my leftovers and literally drove back to the restaurant hoping they hadn't thrown them away and luckily they hadn't .. it was that good! Can't wait to go back, I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Honesty, surprised this place isn’t packed every night. The drinks are great, the food is MUCH better than other bao/asian places on the street, and the music SLAPS. They also always have sports playing, so a great place for World Cup viewing.
The takoyaki is so good - not many places make it in Denver. Definitely recommend.“
