“I've had great lunches here. The Spicy Chicken Terryaki and Katsu bowl really filled me up this time. Normally, I get the spicy chicken terryaki bowl, which comes with a choice of brown or white rice and vegetables. Whether I'm picking up or eating in, the service here is fast, and foods always hot. A quick bite type of vibe. Good seating in this location, and would make a great place for hangry people..like my girlfriend. If you're coming back from the mountains on I-70, then definitely come get some chicken and rice here (no alcohol). It's right off the highway.“
“I've thought I've had good sushi before but eating here made me realize that it wasn't true. This was the best sushi I've ever had. Yes, the dishes are smaller, and yes, it could be on the expensive side for some, but YES it is worth it!There were so many types of fish and seafood that I've never seen offered elsewhere like Barracuda! The bone marrow was so delicious, the unagi (eel) was UNBELIEVABLE. The cocktails pack a punch and are so beautiful and delicious. The server (I wish we could remember her name) was really efficient, moving so stealthily and quickly. She also answered a of our questions and made sure that our allergies were known. That way, our dessert was made so that we could both enjoy. We had the shortcake and it was delicious. The pastry chef also gets 5-stars!The sushi chef behind the bar where we sat was also pleasant and asked me how everything was. He had good things to say about the work environment and everybody seemed to work together and with positivity towards their coworkers and guests. He also let us know that they get fish from a famous Tokyo market! The decor and the interior design were also nice. Fun and beautiful without being overwhelming or distracting.Overall, we will definitely be back!“
“I had the pleasure to eat at this fine establishment over the weekend with some great people! Let’s just say Sushi Den do not disappoint for my fist experience and will definitely be back. Everything was awesome from the cocktails to the Nigiri and high end Whisky!“
“We LOVE this place! Everything we've tried is delicious. My older kiddo loves the hibachi chicken with extra yum-yum sauce. My younger one always gets the yaki soba noodles with chicken. I've had the chicken katsu curry, which was also amazing. My husband's and my favorite is the spicy tuna nachos - soooooooo good!“
“I first heard of Wellness Sushi when they sold their products at Nooch Market (RIP), but never had a chance to try it until last night. I loved everything I ordered, Krunchy Krab, Ohnagi Roll, and Love in the Edo. I can't wait to go back again!“
“Dewy was amazing. Knowledgeable, conversational and made the experience worthwhile. From the managers to staff everyone was attentive and we had a unique experience from the creative sushi to deserts. All made in house, fresh with a special touch we haven't see elsewhere. Highly recommend. Pricing is $$$ for this experience.“
“we live in the area and bamboo is our favorite local restaurant! dine in, take out, lunch, happy hour, dinner: it’s always great!highly recommend the friday the 13th, rainbow, and unicorn rolls. miso soup and crispy rice are other favorites.Vegetarian options: we have come here with our vegan/vegetarian pals and they love it as well! they recommend green machine and crispy rice.“
“The food here was delicious, the garden was beautiful, and the museum was cool.I ordered P1 for my meal. It was so delicious! I also ordered the salmon and the shrimp dumplings for my appetizer. That was also deliciousDietary restrictions: There are no accommodations for dietary restrictions.“
“Excellent sushi restaurant!!! Highly recommend. Many gluten-free options and they do an amazing job preparing the food safely. Presentation is flawless and quality and prompt delivery was exceptional. My only opposition is the pricing. However, it’s comparable to all sushi establishments in the area.“
“Second time eating here--would definitely recommend! Lovely service, chefs, and environment. Will always recommend their Manhattan and of course, any of the chef specials! Looking forward to my next visit with chefs, Larry and Marin! Excited to try Omakase!“
“100% my new favorite place to get sushi! I came across this place the other day and after reading all the reviews I knew I had to check this place out. Cannot beat their happy hour which is also on the weekends which is so nice. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, can't wait to go back!“
“Please bring back the old ramen recipes. We miss the really good vegetarian ramen and the Tonkotsu ramen recipe. The new recipes are bland and don't have the veggies and flavor of the originals! Best small bites: crispy spicy tuna, honey miso eggplant and short ribs.“
“The sushi was superb and the service very good. But the noise level made it not a very pleasant experience. After the music was turned off it was better. A close table of 8 were loud - with no sound dampening features their laughter and conversations were unpleasant.“
“We went for lunch. Their sushi is very good. They just opened and didn’t have nigiri on the menu, but they did make it upon request. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. We will definitely be back for dinner to try their other entrees.“
“AMAZING GLUTEN FREE SUSHI! The only thing better than the food was our server Rex. Rex was working hard, constantly moving and checking in on tables to see if anyone needed anything. He was a genuine kind and smiling face throughout the entire meal.Every roll was spectacular in appearance and taste. I haven’t had such great service and food in a long time.I was pleasantly surprised to find so many gluten free options! They have gluten free soy sauce (tamari) and many rolls can be made gluten free. Beautiful establishment and staff! I will be coming here again!“
“So glad to find this spot in Denver when traveling here. Came here with my two boys and everyone loved it. Sushi was really great and the ramen was outstanding as well. Tonkotsu broth tasted phenomenal and some of the best noodles I’ve ever had. Ramen egg was perfection. The only miss was the pork chasu, rather thin and chewy instead of a thick cut marinated melt in your mouth kind of pork belly. But I’d still get this ramen at least once a week if i lived close by, it’s authentic and superb. They even had a great Japanese IPA on hand. Thanks for the wonderful meal!“
“Wonderful Server I believe her name was Christina I'm not for sure but she was excellent we had a large party and she handled it like a professional. All of the sushi was excellent. The only gripe I had was we ordered the spicey edimame and it tasted very fishy... Other than that everything was great. I will be back I just won't be ordering the edimame next time.“
“Great atmosphere, attentive and caring staff, and even better food!I was blown away by the presentation. The sushi was laid out on a boat with a mini ice sculpture and smoky dry ice.Mika Sushi is a must if you love sushi! I will definitely be back!“
“I am addicted to this place. I am in love with their Shoyu ramen with soft boiled egg and their vegetable tempura. There are many options for other ramen as well as other Japanese dishes and sushi. It's small but cozy. I just love it!“
“The waiter was excellent. He gave us the best suggestion and the right amount to get for 5 people, especially when something is really good so we need two or more orders! The food is second to none. My one wine who does not normally eat fish, will at Matsuhisa. Every bite is delectable. My son's girlfriend took one bite of her toro sashimi and began crying because she couldn't believe how delicious it was! The cocktail drinks are just as amazing in taste and presentation, as the food!“
“I was pleasantly surprised to find that this establishment did NOT have regular "American" arcade games...all of the games are actually in Japanese!! It gives the place an entirely different feel, and it's fabulous! The bar serves a wide array of drinks, but they focus on saké drinks to keep with the atmosphere. They also have league e-sport competitions going on. This place is great, and I highly recommend for a night out of gaming.“
“We were wandering around the Union Station area and dropped in here. Fantastic food and great service. Our server recommended the Shoshito Peppers and that was a first for both of us - but we loved them. The music was slightly loud for our tastes, but not too bad.“
“Best ramen ever. I am new to the whole real ramen thing but since I found NEKO Ramen & Rice. its literally all I'm in the mood to eat its both filling and decent priced. You get what you want the real ramen experience. If it was all you could eat I would have it everyday. It the bomb best place ever can't wait to go get more...!!!“
“It has the most delicious Japanese food and most notably, great hospitality. If you're in Denver, this is the place to go for a delicious meal. Please call ahead for reservations. My friends rave about the food here. Don't forget to try the chocolate cake and pineapple flip cake. We will probably go back tonight because we loved it so much. I had the tofu steak and spicy garlic edema beans. Gyoza, paneo oysters, baby back ribs and teriyaki chicken. The sushi rolls were good too!“
“Very small intimate hand-roll sushi spot. Delicious. Always fresh. Each roll made as you finish the last. Friendly servers. Great wine, beer, saki, and whisky selection. It’s an our favorite spot! Make sure you get a Reservation!Dietary restrictions: Gluten and veggie friendly!“
“My first time tried Sawara Sushi!! Very very satisfied!! Great service, even greater food!! I would say one of the best sushi spot in Denver in terms of food quality, taste, presentation, and definitely service. Very kind and friendly server, and from the menus that we ordered, the rolls and the sashimi, they are amazing!! Totally recommending this place for sure and definitely will return for sushi craves for sure!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“New spot open at 16th & Wewatta downtown -- and I'm always happy to have more sushi around! It's hard with competition like Blue Sushi Sake Grill just a few blocks away -- but here's how I think they stack up. I wish there were more fish/sashimi items on happy hour here (not just the tower and the basic rolls) -- but I also really like the quality of the fish here and availability of things like toro (tuna belly) and yellowtail belly -- neither of which Blue Sushi has. The chef's choice sashimi is a little pricy at $50, but the mega lobster roll is totally worth the $36 if you consider the entire lobster tail inside. Some deets and prices below... LUNCH - Mon-Fri 11am-2pm DINNER - Sun-Thu 4-10pm / Fri & Sat 4-11pm HAPPY HOUR is daily 4-6pm and includes $3 off signature cocktails, $5 hot or cold house sake, $5 Japanese draft beers, $5 house wine, 12 sushi towers (salmon and/or tuna), $5-12 hot bites, and 2 basic rolls for $18. Lunch specials include a sashimi lunch ($25), nigiri & roll combo ($20), sashimi & nigiri combo ($25), poke bowl ($22), spicy chicken or teriyaki bowl ($20), beef bulgogi bowl ($20), and chirashi bowl ($25). Some of my favorite bites I had here: yellowtail sashimi ($20), chef's choice sashimi ($50), and mega lobster roll ($36, but that's with a whole lobster tail in there). You also can't go wrong ordering your favorite sushi/sashimi a la carte -- and I highly recommend the toro (tuna belly) and yellowtail belly! Those aren't cuts everyone carries. Tasty non-fish items are also available, like the kobe hot rock ($30) and wagyu roll (seared table-side, $36).“
“Great sushi, excellent service, but its very loud, not because of the patrons, but the music they have blasting over the stereo. I've been twice and the music is so loud I can't have a conversation with anyone else at the table because we can't hear each other.“
“I love coming here for lunch. It's my little oasis away from work. The girl who works here, KiKi, is terrific!! I call my combo order in on my way there so I don't waste any of my lunch time waiting. I have the entire time to kick back, listen to my book and enjoy the atmosphere, food and wonderful staff. This place is “
“This place has amazing selection and great flavors and marinades. Tamir was the best server as he explained the process and some of his recommendations on cooking time and styles of meat to choose from.10/10 would come back hereDietary restrictions: All of their sauces are gluten free“
“My husband and I have been dining here for the last couple of years and every time we are blown away by how delicious and consistent the food is! The service is top notch and the staff are always friendly. Recommend the shumai and salad as starters, also all of the sushi rolls are good quality fish. We have tried all of the ramens and have enjoyed each one- great flavor and authentic. Hands down one of the best restaurants in Denver.“
“This place was pretty awesome! We ate here for the first time last night after a long day at the St. Paddy's Day parade, and the ramen definitely hit the spot! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars was because of the seating arrangements. They have this long table on the other side of the wall when you first come in and we were sat at the end closest to the front door area and it was just a little cramped and the seats weren't too comfortable. Other than that, no complaints!Service was great, they were pretty busy, so I wasn't bothered by the extra time it took for our server to get to us. Our server was G, and we got very well taken care of regardless! Very good service!Food really did hit the spot! I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with an egg, he ordered the Shoyu Ramen with the spicy sesame oil on the side (so he could control how spicy it was), and we also ordered some Seared Tuna and Salmon Nigiri and the Volcano Roll! The nigiri was excellent! They are very generous with the size of the sushi for the nigiri, which makes it worth the cost per piece. The volcano roll was also great and had 8 pieces in it. The only gripe I have was with the ramen I ordered. The pork slices were cut a little too thick, and they were a bit dry, and the ramen needed a little more salt added because the flavor was just a smidge on the bland side. However, it was still very good, and I was pleasantly happy with it overall! We had a great first visit here so I do recommend checking this place out if you're in the area, especially if you're staying at the Hilton hotel across the street since it's within walking distance!Parking: Parking is tricky in this area because it's also full of apartments above the restaurants. If you can find a spot, take it.“
“The sashimi was delicious but the rest of the dishes that we ordered weren’t all that interesting or well executed.Lighting and aesthetic are well done however the restaurant as a whole simply feels like a place to see and be seen. Bumping house music on a Tuesday... personally not my vibe. For the price and atmosphere I would like a higher level of service and knowledge of the menu from my server. I am a big dessert person, but unfortunately none of the dessert options were all that intriguing and the one we had felt like a total afterthought.. it simply wasn't well done.Overall delicious sashimi, but I wouldn't rush back.“
“A little pricey, but what sushi isn’t these days I suppose. The waiter and service was great but there was no one there except one other person. Food was good but not the best sushi I’ve had. Since no one is ever there they can support big groups of people last minute and has a TON of parking! ?️“
“We enjoyed our lunch at Osaka Sushi, the quality food and ambiance was great. The staffs are helpful. They have a wide variety of sushi, rolls and all other Japanese foods. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian choicesDietary restrictions: Vegetarian menu availableParking: No problem finding a parking spot in the lotKid-friendliness: Definitely kids friendly and they have kids menu tooWheelchair accessibility: Easy accessibility for people on wheelchairs“
“We went for happy hour and had a great time! We went downstairs to the bar and the service was awesome! Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere. We ordered sushi and it came out super quick and we ate it super quick. We'll definitely visit again!“
“Having worked in an Izakaya for years, I have strong opinions on what I expect in a casual Japanese restaurant.Kokoro exceeds many more than most. It's a great spot for well priced (so much better than most) fast casual Japanese food that is flavorful and well made -and it has a drive through.Their website could use an update because the pictures do not do the food justice. If I ate meat, I would have been fully stuck on what to get from the menu: the ramen options smelled and looked amazing and my dining partner said their kara-age and sushi were both fantastic.Overall, I wish there were more vegetarian sushi and ramen options, instead of the 1 and 0 they have, but this was fully made up for by the number of great Izakaya options at unbeatable prices.I will be back soon to get onigiri, tempura, and inari via the drive through.Vegetarian options: Only one vegetarian sushi option and no vegetarian ramen, but plenty of hot and cold vegetarian Izakaya dishes, randing from miso soup to inari, tsukemono, tofu-ginger, tempura, onigiri, seaweed salad and more. Most of the meal type menu items are not vegetarian, but the number of well priced sides and apps is fantastic.“
“Cute spot on the smaller side. There’s a sushi bar where you can see the staff at work. I used to live next door and boy way I spoiled. Still my preferred sushi in the area despite being ~20 mins away now.I get takeout both in person and delivery. Everything is always packaged so considerately. They include dividers and place hot food on the top - heat rises!I’ve tried a number of special rolls. The simple rolls are delicious as well. Fish always tastes fresh not fishy. Love the tempura veggies!Would highly recommend!Parking: Busy spot but it’s not hard to pull up for takeout. Parking for sit down may not be super close, but it’s residential so you’ll likely find something just may have to walk a bit. Much harder on weekend nights.“
“Hidden at the back of the Sakura Square on 18th St. Reminds me of restaurants I grew on eating at back on Guam. The food was the closest to familiar flavors and comfort I've had since moving to CO. I brought my sister here while she was visiting and we both were happy with the nostalgia. We had the teriyaki chicken and chicken cutlet, both were better than the other Japanese restaurants I've been to here.“
“I’ve never had anything that wasn’t excellent here in last ten years. Lately I’ve been on Unagi bowl kick. Sahimi fish is always fresh, moist and rich. If you are looking for a simple fresh made to order incredible rolls, look no further. Plus they play great music. I approve their playlist(quite diverse- from jazz to Sublime). Compliments to the chefs and djs.“
“The food here has always been quite good. The last couple times my family has come here The young woman working the counter, Mikayla, has been an absolute delight. She makes what is a good experience because of the food into a great experience because of the service.“
“My BFF & I have been looking for a new sushi spot after Namiko's in Arvada closed. I think we found it! All the food we ordered came out pretty quickly, was fresh and beautifully plated. The restaurant itself is beautiful & clean. I definitely recommend stopping in.Parking: It's on a small strip of local shops, breweries & restaurants so you have to park usually a block away.Kid-friendliness: We brought a 3 year old. No kids menu but you may be able to find something they like as long as you don't have a picky eater. They also have highchairs (assuming) and booster seats (100% can confirm).“
“It was our first time in and we had a great time! Quinn was super nice and gave us super helpful suggestions and super attentive really provided good service. The quality of the food was amazing and everything melted in your mouth 100/10! definitely will be coming back!!“
“We were at the Cherry Blossom Festival and wanted to continue our Japanese cultural experience. We looked up online nearby restaurants… we called and were greeted VERY warmly and inviting and walked here. We had a fantastic culinary dining experience!! Would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be back soon!! Thank you!!“
“An excellent value for the money. Do make sure you arrive early though as they don't take reservations, and you can be inline for a while. Once seated, service was prompt, the food was good, and there was plenty of it. I remember the skewers the best, which reminded me of some of the best street food I've had. I would go again, and would just get there on the earlier side.“
“We are picky about sushi, and this place is great. The dining room is really comfortable and intimate, the sushi chefs know what they are doing, and everything that we ordered was fresh and nummy. Our server did a great job and the miso soup is especially good.“
“We stopped in just before the dinner rush on a Saturday, and it was delicious! The sushi was fresh and creative, but with the classics hitting the exact right notes. My kiddo plowed through a plate of fried rice with gusto (while relishing the 64 pack of crayons provided). We will definitely be back!“
“I've always ordered takeout, and the service has been very friendly and the place looks amazing inside!! I'm addicted to their Hawaii Roll! I always order that and one other roll, I can't wait to eat at the actual establishment!Parking: You can park in the back but it's difficult since there are other dining areas in the corner. Along with other businesses.Wheelchair accessibility: Come from Broadway to gain easier access, instead of coming from Lincoln.“
“I agree with the comments on other reviews regarding atmosphere here. It’s a very simple vibe, but it doesn’t affect the quality of food. I do think the other comments about the price are subjective as the prices on the menu range from $4 to $16.95. To me, that’s common amongst sushi and Japanese restaurants. Overall I’m pleased with the quality and agree with the cost of the food.“
“Tokyo Joe's is the best quick stop for delicious healthy food. In fact, there is NO selection they serve that is not mouth-watering and cravable. Lately, my crave has been one of their sushi sides that I dream about...Not telling, you'll just need to go there and try each one to find your fave crave! They also have no problem with reasonable substitution requests. The owner is a sweet down-to-earth guy with a brilliant mind for feeding the masses amazing food. My only gripe is Tokyo Joe's isnt all over the USA.“
