“Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon with my wife and it turned into one of those perfect, simple Denver days. It was a rare 70° day in February, so the mellow vibe at the Platte Street location made it even better, super relaxed, not crowded, and just a great place to unwind.

I ordered the salted watermelon lager (maybe a few others) and it was fantastic, really refreshing and a little different from my usual lineup. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and everything just felt easy and welcoming.

If you’re looking for a laid-back spot to enjoy a great beer and good company, especially on a nice day, this place absolutely delivers. Definitely a 5-star afternoon.“

“We are big fans of this brewery. Last Friday we held my husband’s 39th birthday party for our friends at their location. They saved us two lovely tables in their covered patio and we were able to bring in a box of donuts for the party. Our friends were very accommodated by the brewery and we ended up having a great time. Plenty of space for all the kiddos to run around and play have fun environment. Great drinks, and some food available. Highly recommend for a fun and easy event to bring all the people together.“

“The environment, the decor, the vibes, the COFFEE 😩, and of course, the beer, are all so amazing at Alley Brews!! The little alley way brewery feels like your friends decked out garage, and everyone that works there feels like your friends. They are so kind and personable, it makes me want to be there all the time. Definitely stop by alley brews for a coffee or a beer, they’re delicious, but really if you just want to go to a place that makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. “Came for a happy hour and got to enjoy some amazing beers. The space is fantastic with an outdoor patio (didn't check out as it was snowing hard on May 5th!) The interior is dark with cozy bar stools and tables inside for sipping beer.

Bruz Beers (a play on the Belgian Bruge) has an extensive menu. I got the bartender Tim's recommendation for my first beer. It was their dubbel, which is a dark abbey style ale. It was very tasty and not overly heavy. I wanted to try one more and am a big fan of sour beers. The grape saison (only available at Colfax location) is tart and fermented with Gewürztraminer wine grapes. It was also very good with the right of sour and not overly sweet.

The bar has some snacks for purchase like popcorn and meat sticks. I guess they normally have food trucks offering different types of cuisine.

There are bathrooms just outside the taproom shared with R&R head labs and another business. Just ask for the code as they require one for entry.

The parking is challenging as the bar is just south of Colfax on York. You can find street parking.“

“This brewery if the perfect neighborhood watering hole. They have plenty of options for alcohol and N/A. GF options are available and they even have food. The food trucks seem to rotate but the one we had was called MOYAS TACOS. Probably the best tacos youll ever try.“

The interior of the place is beautiful and has a modern, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to hang out and relax for a while. Great selection of brews with something for pretty much everyone, whether you’re into lighter beers or something a little more bold.

The staff here were wonderful from the moment we walked in — friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions or give recommendations. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do and want everyone to have a good experience.

The food truck outside was also incredible. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Great combination of awesome beer and great food. Overall, this is a fantastic spot to meet up with friends, relax after work, or just enjoy a fun brewery atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!“

“4 Noses Brewing Company is a nice brewery with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The beer selection was good, with enough variety to find something enjoyable. The space feels casual and comfortable, making it a good spot to hang out with friends or stop by for a drink. Service was fine overall, though it can get busier later in the day. Prices seemed reasonable for a local brewery. Overall, a solid place to visit if you enjoy craft beer and a laid-back setting.“

“We popped in for a beer and Dawn was awesome!! She turned me onto their boozy slushes....youza! The lemon was hard not to chug, it was so refreshing and yummy. The beer here is great too, it's just fun to have a new goodie to drink as well.

“Fun brewery with a nice (dog-friendly) patio in the back. The blonde stout is my favorite, it tastes somewhat like a Belgian tripel, if that's your thing.

Looks like they also have trivia a couple of times a month and they show sports games.“

“Amazing service and awesome beer in a great location. I love checking out local breweries and this place did not disappoint. They have a lot of space and different types of seating (high or low tables, bar seating and some seats on patio outside. They’re also kid & dog-friendly, though dogs must stay on outdoor patio. The beer-tenders are super friendly and helped me find the beers I like there and are awesome to talk to. I have come here a handful of times since moving to Denver from Florida and I’m comfortable reading a book on my own, sitting at the bar and chatting with the beer-tenders or regulars (who are super friendly to newcomers), or watching a game on TV. It’s a Welcoming atmosphere and has a good selection of different beer styles (e.g., hazy and west coast IPA’s, blondes and wheat ales, jalapeño blonde ale, red ale, barrel aged stout, Sour, & limited editions). Plus several of their beers are gluten reduced and one of the beer-tenders who has celiacs says she and others with gluten intolerant folks are fine drinking them. It’s definitely become my new home brewery after living here just 5 weeks! They also have a bookshelf of board and card games you can play if you want to make it a game night!“

I love hazy IPAs and was a little disappointed there was only 1 on the menu, maybe that’s all theyre brewing right now but seems like they have one of each type of beer! The HAAAZY was more on the hoppy side and less citrusy. Typical prices, I’d say on the cheaper end.

“The tour of the Tower. Truly great. Be sure to go soon to see it while it is still original and a bit rough. Then go again after all the bells and whistles have been completed. It was soooo cool to see the view, hear the recording of the last transmission from the tower to the last flight to leave Stapleton airport. Learn about the history. A great experience!!!“

“I'm candidly writing this in response to another reviewer who left 1 star for not being able to use one of Novel Strands picnic tables without making a purchase.

I too am a neighbor. And a customer. And a friend. It matters to me that Novel Strand not only thrives as a business but I also support them in standing up for themselves. Because it's not just about having a beer or a cup of coffee and wanting to be served in a particular way. Novel Strand is one of the core unifying establishments in a community that I deeply love. There's a bookclub. There's a run club. There's trivia. People have met their partners here and have had their wedding receptions. They've hosted block parties. We've celebrated holidays there and have a wealth of memories that you really can't ask for. Sometimes you just get lucky enough to realize that a lot of good comes from a place you frequent, even if only for a beer. But I've truly been given so much more. And for that, I will always want to pay for a beer if I'm ever sitting at any of their tables.

To any criticism of their respective crafts, I simply can't speak to having the most refined palate. But I love their beers and cocktails. One of the best things about the experience of having a beer at Novel Strand is taking a glimpse into the back, seeing the inner workings of their operation and talking with the owners about what they're experimenting with, what other breweries they're collaborating with, where they're sourcing ingredients from around the world, etc. I love being able to ask questions and equally love seeing their passion for what they do. I appreciate the effort. And I respect it. There are too many people in this world who are in it to just take and take and take, and get upset when they're told that that's just not how life works. In the dynamic of the business/customer relationship, we too often default to holding businesses to ridiculous standards without ever stopping to consider what it means to be a good customer.

To Novel Strand, thank you. Please keep doing what you're doing. I would gladly give a sixth star.“

“This place is definitely unique and that’s wonderful. Metal is the only music option here, don’t even try to change things up. In my experience it’s a welcoming and safe environment despite the initial look of the place. When you look around you warm up to it and see all the different stuff that’s been added to the place- the walls and such. I appreciate that there’s an outdoor space. The people who work here are friendly. The pizza is good. The wings are INSANELY good. There’s a heavy metal flea market here the last Sunday of the month. It’s a pretty cool place - I’m a repeat customer and will continue to go back. They also make good beer, don’t forget that part, but I figured that’s a given. It’s a safe space to be LGBTQ+ in this space. From what I can tell, hate won’t be tolerated at Black Sky, and I’m here for it.“
