36 Best Breakfast Restaurants in Denver

“I really enjoy this location on Colfax. I usually go for the Shrimp and Grits and it’s so flavorful. It comes with a biscuit underneath but you can opt out and get more grits. Their cheese grits are sooo good it’s one of my favorite things there. Their fried chicken is very good. It’s a Pepsi product place just like most here in Colorado and parking is limited street parking. Been here three times and it’s just a great spot. I just tried their pizza and it was delicious although I didn’t care too much for their “bacon” which was pork belly. Was too salty and I didn’t love the flavor but I normally do enjoy it in my shrimp and grits.”

“Came in around 1pm on a Saturday with no wait! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our server Steve was great and made sure we were well taken care of. I got the chicken and waffle Benedict and my boyfriend got the breakfast tacos. Both were delicious! I also got a hot mocha that was super rich and creamy. Definitely recommend.”

“Based on the excellent Google reviews, we took a chance and we weren’t disappointed!! Delicious French toast (on Texas toast), generously fluffy pancakes, great service. The only suggestion, better quality syrup, it was thin. If I’m ever back in town I’ll come by again ❤️.”

“This place… AAAMAZING!! the portions were huge (highly recommend sharing the biscuits), the flavors were fantastic, and the food was cooked perfectly. The cinnamon roll is a must have is you have a group. It is about 4x the size of a normal cinnamon roll. And the service… Logan gave the best recommendations (which we followed) and kept our glasses filled. Their positive energy was contagious.Highly recommend!!”

“Wow! What a fun place. We were seated at the bar for Sunday breakfast. At first, I thought, hmmm, is this the right place to sit. It turns out it was. The bar tender was super busy and didn't miss a beat while taking our order and drinks. He was super friendly, and we enjoyed talking with him as well. The food was incredible ?.!! We ordered a cinnamon roll to take home. Reminder, when they run out, they run out, and you will have to wait till next time. The area was super fun as well. If you plan on going, you should get on the wait list before you get there. We left our house, which is about 20 minutes out. The wait was 45 to 55 minutes. We checked in when we got there and had to wait 25 minutes. The cool thing is they have a super fun pet store and shops around while you wait. They text you when your table is ready ?Have fun. Must try this place!!!!”

“The best breakfast spot in Denver doesn't serve breakfast anymore...I know they went to catering only last year but I still google the place every few months to see if the kitchen has reopened to no avail. Unfortunately, I must accept that I'll never have another delicious chicken fried steak unless I order enough to be catered. Not a bad idea for fans of this place to get together and have breakfast catered...just a thought. RIP spices cafe ( the actual cafe that is closed )”

“The food is good, and a decent price for how much food comes with your entree. I really miss their strawberry cream pie it was my favorite. My husband loves their chicken fried steak and I enjoyed the hot wings with the sauce on the side our dinner was great! This place really holds a soft spot in my heart I met my husband here almost 5 years ago Im so happy to see covid did not break this place.?”

“Nice brunch spot! Very friendly service. The best food we've eaten in Denver so far!Husband had the Benny Duo with the pork belly and migas. I had the crab & asparagus omelette- delicious! Nice and fresh, salad was great.Bloody Mary's are excellent, the espresso martini was ok.”

“When i walked in the host offered me a spot at the bar, when i asked for a table she rudely scoffed... and found one for me. When you do reviews you often fill up a whole table and the bar is never enough room so that already ledt a poor customer service taste in my mouth as I sat down.To my suprise the coffee was absolutely amazing 10 out of 10 and right away they drew me back in for excitement.Next onto the biscuits and gravy a 2 out of 10 tasted very flowery and lacked flavor in the meat in the gravy.Next i tried there bbbbbblt a blt with fried egg and extra cheese. This was an easy 10 out of 10.I then tried their pancakes and a slice of french toaste both landed at about a 7 ish.Overall the food was really good but not amazing.”

I've only ever had breakfast burritos but not one time have I been disappointed. This last visit I changed it up a bit and got a smothered burrito and it was delicious.Great food, fair pricing, friendly people. ?”

“My sister came in for a visit and wanted to go to this tik tok famous cafe. The food was quite good as was the service. It is in a small strip mall - nice decor - but basic. The big draw is the huge conchas (sweet bread) that they serve with hot chocolate that comes in a supersized mug. Also the coffee lattes have fun designs. We had- Azteca burrito, chilaquiles, pancakes and chorizo and eggs. All were tasty. We had a 30Minute wait for a table on a Friday at 11am. Popular fun spot.”

“Ok this place is a must stop. Breakfast was so good and our server Nate was awesome! Eggs were perfectly cooked, bloody Mary were omg good. Ask for off menu items as well.Parking: Parking was tight, about 16 spaces and they were full. Circled around and someone pulled out.”

“Rise and shine is a standout. The biscuits are fantastic. Light, tasty, and flavorful. The egg biscuit has a perfect hand made scrambled egg inside. The jams and honeys are local and delicious.I was served by a barista who made a perfect latte as well. The atmosphere has energy but is reserved. Well suited to a work session or convo with friends. Outdoor seating available on a quiet street.Hats off to the rise and shine team.”

“Very cool spot in a shopping container. Staff was extremely friendly. The vegan burrito was good and had a little spicy kick to it. We ordered drip coffee, a cortado, and an iced coffee with cream and sugar. Will definitely come back to this place. They even have outdoor seating, where dogs are welcome.”

“Nestled in the heart of Denver, Sunny's is a true gem that promises a delightful journey through a world of flavors. As a food enthusiast, I was eager to explore their menu, and my visit to this charming restaurant left me utterly enchanted.Upon entering Sunny's, I was greeted with an inviting and sunny ambiance that set the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu showcased an array of delectable dishes, but I couldn't resist trying their renowned "Sunny's Special."After much anticipation, I decided to indulge in Sunny's Special, and it was an absolute revelation. This signature dish was a medley of succulent grilled chicken, tender asparagus spears, and plump cherry tomatoes, all bathed in a rich and creamy lemon dill sauce. Each forkful was a burst of harmonious flavors that danced on my palate, leaving me craving for more. However, the extraordinary dining experience at Sunny's was not just about the exceptional food; it was the impeccable service provided by a waitress named Emma that truly made my visit special. With her radiant smile and genuine warmth, Emma made me feel like a cherished guest throughout my meal. Her attentiveness to detail and thoughtful recommendations added an extra layer of enjoyment to my culinary adventure.Sunny's is a testament to the art of crafting delicious dishes with a focus on quality and taste. “The huevos rancheros that beat bobby flay were awesome! pulled pork in a yummy thick sauce and perfectly cooked eggs on crispy tortillas. Loved the bacon side and yogurt parfait as well.Lovely bloody Marys, good service, and relaxed atmosphere. This place is a win! Especially appreciate them being open at 7am on a Sunday.Things to note... Go early to avoid a wait. If the menu doesn't describe an item, just ask what's in it. 20% gratuity is included in the check.”

“While staying the night in Denver, I knew my wife and I would be in the mood for brunch. With endless brunch options in Denver, it was a tough choice to make; however, after careful consideration I choose for us to go to HashTAG.Upon waking in, we noticed that there was going to be a wait, but seeing the bar was open seating - we snagged the last two open seats in order to avoid waiting for a table/booth.The bartender/waiter behind the counter was definitely swamped but he still gave quality customer service to everyone. Props to him for doing so on a busy Sunday morning! There were so many good things on the menu that we had to order a few items to try them out.To start we ordered the biscuits and (pork sausage) gravy and my wife ordered the P.O.G. (Passionfruit, Orange, Guava) Mimosa. For the main course we decided to order the Colfax ‘wich with hash browns, Chipotle Chicken & Waffles & small Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Hot Cake.My wife enjoyed the Colfax ‘wich & hash browns. The biscuits and pork sausage gravy was some of the best biscuits and gravy we’ve had. The buttermilk biscuits provide a nice texture to mix with the hearty pork sausage gravy. Shockingly this didn’t make us feel bloated or heavy like other biscuits and gravy entrees do. Must be the quality ingredients that they use. They nailed it!My Chipotle Chicken & Waffles were on another level. Simply an elevated experience with their waffle specifically. It had a crunchy exterior while still maintaining a fluffy core. The waffle itself was sweet enough that neither hitter or syrup is needed. It’s very rare that a waffle can showcase a superior taste without the addition of syrup and butter. This waffle is in an the “Elite” category of waffles. The chicken is pretty thin but not a bad size. Their crispy bacon also was a great plus. It’s always a gamble when ordering bacon at a restaurant, but when you get solid bacon - it’s a mood changer! Finally we shared a small portion of the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Hot Cake. To say this is a “small portion” is beyond laughable. This thing was massive. I can only imagine the large! I’m very glad though it was that big, because I couldn’t stop eating it. The hot cake itself possesses sea salt caramel undertones that you receive in every delicate bite. In addition, the fluffy hot cake itself was loaded & topped with a plentiful amount of chocolate chips. This was my favorite hot cake to this date.Overall, this was a top tier brunch option in Denver. Don’t hesitate for a second, go here and thank me later.”

“The best breakfast/brunch in Denver. I always come here for breakfast every time I’m in Denver and this place never disappoints. The food is delicious (specially the breakfast burrito). Definitely recommend coming here for good food and reasonable prices.”

“Great downtown breakfast joint. Definitely a new place for the locals. Everything is is very well-made and very sizable portions. Very reasonably priced and make sure to ask for Naveah for your server. you’ll get excellent service every time and feel like your at home.”

“There are so many options! It’s more of a traditional breakfast place than something like the Denver Biscuit Company, but that’s not a bad thing. They have gourmet bacon, various eggs benedict, great avocado toast with eggs, and top-notch pancake and french toast options. I’d come back five more times (if I wasn’t traveling) and get something different every time!”

“Been here a few times and it’s really the most delicious breakfast food. The prices are not ridiculous. Service is speedy and polite. Anna served us and was great. But it’s really the great options and good food that makes this place worthwhile. Never had a bad bite here!”

“Best place to get all the varieties of banh (banh tet, banh chung, banh uot, banh cuon) and cha (Vietnamese sausage) in Denver. Everything is made in house and very fresh. Owner is a sweet lady and I’m always reminded of my home and childhood when I come here. For the banh cuon and banh uot, you have to order it and she makes it in the back for you in the back, everting else you can grab from the shelves and everything is labeled with ingredients.”

“We have been here a few times but never done a review. Went here today. It was a (Tuesday morning) at about 10am and it wasn’t busy at all. Great service from the waiter and the food came out extremely fast and hot and fresh. It was a great experience as always for this restaurant. We had another person that was vegan in our party and they had plenty of vegan options for breakfast as well. Only issue we had was finding parking anywhere near this building as it is smack dab in the middle of downtown Denver. Don’t leave this place without trying the CRACK BACON!!!!Vegetarian options: Vegan options availableParking: The parking was not great only paid street parking downtown and hard to find a spot. Lots of construction at the time around this building. Found a parking garage and was charged 17.00 for a hour of being parked in the garage.”

“"This is a nice spot for breakfast! The only caveat being that I'm not particularly fond of their potatoes. They serve them sliced, and they aren't as crispy as I prefer. While this is a minor issue, it does matter to me."”

“I'm in Denver for just a couple of days and decided to rent a bike to check out the city. Garmin and Google routes suck, and after several failed attempts of finding a place for breakfast I stumbled on Swift's diner. The food?? Amazing! The service?? Amazing!Prices?? Even better!!!I ordered the Supreme Breakfast, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted just like it should. This is a hidden gem of a hole-in-the-wall diner. The servers were friendly, customers just come in and sit themselves wherever. I heard the cooks get into a heated Marvel debate, LOL. Great atmosphere, just go check it out for simple food eating.”

“Great local breakfast joint. We went two days in a row. I had really delicious avocado toast (pictured), and OMG amazing green chile eggs benedict (also pictured but not as clear). My companion had bacon and eggs. Good bacon. Great coffee. Friendly service. When we first walked in, I got the Greek diner vibe. Heard a Greek accent, but no Greek food on the menu, sadly.”

“We sat in the shade on the patio. It was full but not loud & able to have a nice conversation with my friend. The service & food were excellent. I would definitely come back again. We were supposed to try the new place on the block, but there was a long wait. Glad we decided to walk down & try it out. A cute little gem.”

“Love this place, the food and the service is always amazing. Good quality coffee, fast service even during busy times. Feels just enough upscale and hipster without my mom feeling out of place to come.Dietary restrictions: Made nut restrictions and gluten easy to find, ask questions, servers are very knowledgeable.”

“Had a 2.5 hour layover out of C so we made our way to B to try snooze out. Although they were almost to capacity, we were seated right away. Service was great. Food came out within a timely fashion, and our server kept checking on us. It’s a nice place that makes you feel that you’re not in an airport. Which is always nice. As you exit the tram and come up the escalators, look for another set of escalators to take you up another level. There’s escalators on both sides so either one will take you up. Overall great experience at a sit down place in an airport. Made time fly and took our minds off airport life for a bit. Enjoy.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for wheelchairs to sit nicely at a table”

“Hey folks, directly to you guys as a restaurant, thank you for your food service. I appreciate your kindness as well as the food.Anyone who hates corporate America like I do, dine here. It was all genuine and not force fed smiles or anything false. We need that type of restaurant more often. Especially while we still have that option.Once again, thank you guys so much. God bless.?”

“Love this place. I grew up in Denver and it's so nice to see a place post-covid still serving simple breakfast food with none of the riff raff. Bottomless mimosas... patio.... what else could you want? Reminiscent of the BK and Denver diner- but with booze. Love you Caitlins!”
