We had eaten at this restaurant a number of times when it was called "Kachina Grill", and we always enjoyed it. When I booked this reservation, I assumed it was the same place, and I was confused with the new name of "Spotted Donkey Southwest Grill". Nevertheless, we assumed it was the same place with a new name. I was quite disappointed with the experience. The service was average or below average (which, unfortunately has become the norm for American restaurants...
We used to dine there when it was Kachina and it was excellent. Food quality has gone down since they rebranded. Service was excellent but the food is Marriott's prepackaged garbage. I do not recommend the new place.
The service was great; live music was nice. Margaritas were great! The food was ok, not traditional Mexican recipes. We had the stuffed poblano, chimichanga, and shrimp tacos. None of us thought it was worth returning.
