Overall a good experience; helpful and friendly service, and a quiet, well kept location. However fresh the donuts are though, they are fairly pricey and overly sweet.
Not worth the price. Picked up a dozen donuts, and honestly, they were pretty mediocre. I’ve had better ones at a gas station. For the price, I expected more—these just didn’t stand out. Not the worst, but definitely not worth going out of your way for.
So long LaMar's. It was actually good while it lasted, but never again. I'm not sure where the greed came from and I'm not sure how it will ever return to normal pricing. You'd expect to pay just a little more for a Lamar's donut. Sure. I always did, and I would bring them by the dozen to my workplace. But somehow prices have nearly tripled in the past few years, and I can't support BS like that. After being greeted by a very kind and professional young man I just wanted to get some donuts for my kids. 6 to go and 1 for the road. NORMAL donuts. $25 for 7 rings of dough. And getting 6 was my mistake because after 1 mediocre tasting donut there wasn't an appetite for more. While many of us have had our careers chopped and our earnings cut in half, places like this think they can triple their prices charge $3 for one single donut. Personally, I'd rather see it shut down permanently because of it. No wonder there was a guy flipping a sign on the street, and one customer inside, at 9:30 on a Saturday morning.
Very good donuts but @$2.99 each+ not inexpensive. Super nice and attentive staff.
I got a chocolate bar and an old-fashioned donut. They were tasty and fluffy. I never thought I’d pay eight dollars for two donuts though.
La Mars makes the best donuts West of the Mississippi...And probably east of it too. This is the classic handmade donut all people will recognize. Simple and delicious.
The employee seemed to be very much like she REALLY didn't want to be at work. She didn't smile, and she provided subpar customer service.
Best. Donuts. Ever. My family has been going here for over 10 years and never once had a bad experience. The donuts are the best. The service is friendly and helpful (even when it's crazy busy). Yes... We've tried some other places in the area, but they're always disappointing in comparison. Lamar's is flat out the best donut shop in town.
I have found this to be a great place to get a quality doughnut made fresh on location. Over the years they have become a part of our family traditions and are always coming up with some new twists or flavors that keep things interesting. Service is quick and friendly even when the line seems too long. I have gotten a few drinks from time to time and have never been disappointed. This is an all around great place to go.

The donuts we had from here straight up tasted like FISH!!!
Never had that happen before no one enjoyed the donuts and later the afternoon our box smelled like a fish tank

Good donuts, but extremely overpriced. $26+ for a dozen? The fancier ones are close to $44/dozen. And of course they ask for tips on top of that. Insanity. Don't think we will go back.

Its good donuts, top notch for a basic donut....just that though, they're basic donuts, normal size, cake donuts are smaller than average even (i will say the long john is pretty big and filled well) but still basic donuts for WAY too much money. I got a glazed, cake, and long john for $11 this morning.....a basic GOOD, average sized donut like these shouldn't be over $2 in my opinion. Again, they're very good but for that price go to somewhere like the Salty Donut to get donuts twice the size, twice the flavor, twice the creativity for the same price

Probably one of the best Bismarcks I’ve ever had, but at $5/donut, it’s the last time I’ll ever be able to get them. Friday morning donuts seemed like a fun treat for the kids, but not at these prices. Otherwise, service was fine, and the space is tight - can’t navigate a stroller if there is a line & anyone is sitting to eat.

Lamar's donuts are the best I mean top notch in my opinion. But that price now wow. It priced me out of visiting there very often anymore it's a special occasion now and even hesitant to get a dozen donuts when I go there specifically for that. Shame really
