This might be one of the more dirty, and unkempt restaurants we have been into in a very long time. The food was OK, and service OK - but we could not get over how beaten down and unclean it felt
The food has gone downhill since reopening after covid. I ordered the French onion soup. The cheese wasn't browned like in the past and the bread was rock hard even after soaking in the soup. The soup itself was good. I also had the French dip. The bread was hard and chewy even after dipping in au jus. The roast beef didn't taste fresh and the au jus was like warm and had no flavor. My friend enjoyed her grilled cheese and fries
Everything was subpar from the ceasar salad to the creamy mushroom pasta and rustic artichoke chicken dish. All the chicken was charred on the outside and pink on the inside. The creamy mushroom pasta had no flavor. Save yourself some money and look elsewhere
Was a sad experience. Ordered hot tea it was barely Luke warm. Asked for creamer waited and waited, when it came tea was cold.. Asked for sugar waited 10 minutes our waiter never brought it someone's ride had to. Tea now very cold,so much for a simple cup of hot tea. Ordered white toast got white bread not toasted. Order too over 30 minutes to arrive and restaurant is only half full. Noise level of clanking dishes made me think I was in a third rare dinner. Avoid this mimi's.
An order was screwed up through door dash. I called them up and was mad. Victoria answered and made everything right. She was great and very sweet.Edit: we aren't going to take you up on your offer for free food. Restaurants are getting hit hard now. We will order again soon, though. Your response was perfect and enough to keep us coming back.
So, normally the food and experience is GREAT, but this morning fell short. We got there and were seated promptly, but after waiting 10 minutes, the hostess came by asking if we’d gotten drinks yet, we said no, and she nicely took our order and promptly brought drinks. After sitting there another 15 minutes, and watching two other tables across from us who got sat after us get drinks and food orders, no one came to us at all, so we left. The hostess told us as we were leaving, thanks for coming in, but I told her that we’d never been helped, so we were leaving.
Delivery order missing an entree, the salmon was burned on the bottom. I placed a Grubhub delivery order that was missing an entree. I think it's unlikely the driver stole it, so I'm guessing Mimi's missed the item and the driver didn't check, so I'm blaming both for that. The pot roast and French onion soup were fine, but the salmon was burned black on the bottom, making it dry, tough, and bitter.
Love this place. It was a tough day and I needed a good meal and kindness. I got both, and an awesome drink or two from Victoria, Joe, and Jesus. Thank you all! Yes, the food was delicious and so were the drinks. But the people working here were angels.
So we tried Mimi's Cafe 10/08/2017. My husband loves them and I thought let's do this. There was a 10 minute wait for a table and I thought it was no problem, as the place was hopping mad busy. We get to our table and we're told someone will be with us soon. I go to the restroom, was gone no more than 6 minutes tops. No one had come to check on our table. We wait another 5 minutes and then the waitress says she'll be with us soon. No offer for drinks or the complimentary bread everyone else was getting. (My husband thought it was weird that we didn't get the complimentary bread and thought maybe the policy had changed. I said I don't think so, as I had seen other customers get it.) She comes back after a few minutes but doesn't apologize about the 10-15 minutes we waited to get our drinks ordered. So we ordered our lunch; we both get soup, half a sandwich, fries, and a soft drink. For what we ordered, it shouldn't have taken no more than 15 minutes to prepare. We waited over 30 minutes to get our food. Meanwhile, people seated after us are getting their food despite it being busy. The waitress doesn't come to check on us or offer to refill our glasses. In fact, I saw her looking after other customers but she never came back to our table. Finally, we see the server arrive with our food but it passes our table twice before it gets to us. The server was confused about which table it went to. Finally, our waitress, who just happens to be the trainer, takes the food from her and serves it to us. My half of a hot sandwich had gone cold. The au jus was hot but they only filled it halfway in the serving bowl. My husband had gotten a double portion of sandwich, fruit and soup. Just as she was trying to escape, we tell her he didn't order fruit but fries, but she was too busy talking over us about condiments, which we already had at the table if she had bothered to look. She leaves to get his fries and doesn't ask to refresh our drinks. Then we don't see her again. I mean we had been done eating for at least 15 minutes and our drinks were so empty I'd been sipping on the ice cubes. Earlier, I mentioned to my husband that I want to try the pumpkin muffin sundae but I changed my mind because it took so long to get service in the first place. When she finally got back, she didn't even ask us if we wanted anything else. She just brought the check. If my husband hadn't given her his card to pay right then and there we would've had to wait another 15+ minutes to pay. She didn't thank us for visiting nor ask us to come again. We tipped her 10%, which is extremely rare. We always tip 20% or more. But this was ridiculous. I know how busy things can get at a restaurant. But I've been to busier ones and had received excellent care and customer service. And then to see that this kind of behavior is taught by the trainer? We won't be dining there again. I don't know if she had a problem with our ethnicities or because we're a multicultural couple. But it sure seemed like it to me. And the thing is we can't really complain because all someone would have to say is that they were super busy. But then why is it that the other customers got free apps or apologies for the long wait and we were simply ignored?
We went to Mimi’s tonight for a mommy/daughter dinner and we had SUCH delicious and excellent food. No wait, amazing service (Dev waited on us) and I’m so happy they re-opened! Hope everyone will flood this place with business, so they can thrive once again after being closed for 3 months!!

Very good food, service was amazing! We had a large group and they got us seated quickly and our server was awesome! We had my niece's baby with us and they brought out a baby net to put her in that brought the baby up to table height. Wish all restaurants had these baby nets!
The waitress was very nice and I liked the restaurant I had the spinach and artichoke dip and I also had the mushroom pasta and chicken dish and Josh had the chicken baguette was absolutely great.
Every time we come here it's never a great experience. Last Sunday our party of 7 was treated rudely by the hostess because she had to put a table together for us. All of our food came out cold and 2 of the orders weren't made to order. Although, our tickets all had some kind of compensation, it would just be nice to pay full price for a hot meal and greeted with some kindness.
Eggs Benedict is really good. There breakfasts are all really good. Westminster Mimis does as nice job.
It absolutely blows my mind that this place doesn't have high ratings. Sarah was personable and fantastic, service was amazing (even had a great joke from the hostess when we came in). The food was out of this world for a very reasonable price. Will recommend to friends who live around the area. And the atmosphere is great! ?
