Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom

Great time @ OC

It’s been a while since I’ve visited an Old Chicago. Many locations have closed. It may be time for this one to consider it.

I decided to come in for pizza because Old Chicago had been advertising on Facebook and it looked appealing. It turned out to be very underwhelming.

They were out of the beer I ordered. No big deal, carry on. The pizza came out less than hot, so it cooled off quickly. Not sure if that was a kitchen blunder or the waiter, but it wasn’t pleasant to eat. Also, the dough was very undercooked and lacked adequate pizza sauce. I had to request extra sauce to dip the pizza in. The sauce that was brought out was cold.

Service was slow and very impersonal. They were moderately busy, but not swamped. I’m guessing it’s a staffing issue.

Lastly, the place is really quite dingy. They need to close for a day and bring in the entire staff to perform a deep cleaning. The floors, the walls, even the tables. Every surface seemed to have visible residue.

Unfortunately, for this location, I won’t be returning.

We had pizza, which was great! The salad was tasty too. The service was great too.

Terrible customer service. We were asked to sit and wait for a table because the waitress was overwhelmed because she had 5 tables to server!. So we sat for 20 minutes to then be seated and told that I couldn’t order a pizza half cheese and half pepperoni because there isnt a button for her to push on her ordering screen! Which I know isn’t true because Iv ordered pizzas that way before!.. racism still exists and the staff here is very racist.

Fun place to go with your friends. Funny staff, great food, can't ask for much more!

Very high prices. $9.49 for a beer I could buy at most bars for $5, and $6.50 for a very small shot of Jim Beam. Then high pressure from the bartender to order another round. I won't be back.

It was decent, mid range food. Servicio was great. Was towards the end of thr night. Decor needs a update via my opinion.

Even though it was almost close time. The food still came out fresh. Our server was very nice and did give accommodation on what to get.

Heyyy y'all me and my wife decided to come into old Chicago today and o.m.g the food was not good at all the burgers where so cold the pizza was really oily and cheese was just falling off my bread all in all I won't be coming back ... I heard there going out of business I can see why . Thanks
