Exceptional sushi, everything else is very good also. Needs a larger space and better location.

Sakana used to be our go to place when we crave for good quality ramen; and we had good luck with our visits. But not today (11/13.) We ordered fried oyster, fried chicken and two ramens. And when we got home both of use has to rush to the bathroom because of diarrhea from the food. We suspect it was the oyster did us in. The ramen was served lukewarm (we expected to be much warmer,) with stiff, flavorless pork loins. The spicy miso ramen tasted like with some packed condiment straight out of the packet. And the soup/broth as blunt something like out of broth box. All the flavorful broth of traditional ramen was non-existent. With the questionable sanitary of the food and blunt ramen broth, It has gong downhill. Very disappointed visit.

We are fortunate to live down the street from Sakana so we eat here regularly. The fish is always high quality, better than most sushi places. The katsu don and curry are our favorites. The restaurant looks unassuming from outside but is charming and cozy with consistently wonderful service.

The kaibashira nigiri was so good. The salmon, tuna nigiri were also excellent. The takoyaki was good and included more octopus than other places that serve this. I was not a fan of the curry ramen, because I wanted more curry flavor and aroma. The chicken was overcooked though. I'll try the curry rice next time I'm in town.

Service was great. Mauro was thorough and patient!

Lovely place for a special night, or quick bite to grab. They go hard on the sushi! Great stuff.

Although part of me doesn't want to let the cat out of the bag and share this secret spot, I also feel compelled to sing its praises. With fresh, tasty food, attentive and comfortable service, a relaxing atmosphere, and surprisingly reasonable prices, Sakana delivers some of the best Japanese cuisine in Westminster and the greater area. If you're a fan of Japanese fare, from miso soup, sushi, ramen, katsu, teriyaki, and more, Sakana is a MUST-try!

Parking: Easy and free of charge small lot.

Always enjoy coming here! Love how simply delicious the Saba Shioyaki (grilled mackerel) is. The Agedashi tofu is a favorite too. Load up the spoon with a lot of broth, some tofu and radish and slurp it all up.

Sushi and Ramen have become quite popular in Colorado. Unfortunately many establishments in Colorado are not run or owned by Japanese. In this sense, as Sakana that is owned by a Japanese chef he does prepare quite authentic dishes. Service is also very good. Great sushi, great Ramen, easy access, reasonable pricing, good parking and great side dishes makes Sakana a very good place to go.

What a horrible experience, they didn't have the courtesy to accommodate us. They were rude with a kid with disabilities as well. First and last time.

My name is Kai, and I am 8 years old. I love sushi and asked my dad to write this review for me. Sakana is my favorite restaurant because the sushi is fresh and delicious. The ebi and ikura are the best. The service is great because I got lychee ice cream on my birthday!
