Meh perfectly describes this places. The atmosphere is odd. The service is attentive but off. The food was the most disappointing part of the experience, very bland, under seasoned and extremely overpriced. I would say the food is maybe on par with an Olive Garden at best.

This is a lovely neighborhood Italian restaurant. My husband, two sisters, brother-in-law, niece and I walked over at 3:00 PM to have a late lunch/early dinner. You cannot tell from the outside how beautiful and authentic this Italian restaurant is until you walk through the door. We were greeted immediately. It is family owned and run. There are incredible pictures of the family over the years detailing the history of this restaurant. My sister and her husband ordered the lasagna which they said was the BEST. My husband ordered the Italian meatball sandwich and said it was the most delicious meatball sandwich he had ever had. My twin sister and I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was definitely better than anything we had eaten at other restaurants. My niece ordered the bolognese and said it was delicious. All in all, the food we ordered did not disappoint. Our server was a family member and she was delightful. The portions were generous and several of us took home leftovers, which were delicious the next day too. We shared chocolate cake, spumoni and tiramisu and can't wait to go there again. My sister and her husband live in the neighborhood nearby and have been there over five times in the past six months. They were anxious for the rest of the family to eat there and we will definitely visit soon just so we can eat at Sano's Italian Kitchen again!! Make sure to call and get a reservation because they are quite busy.
