The tacos are phenomenal. The roasted Jalapeño on the side is a nice touch as well!

My daughter took me to Vatis for the first time. Tacos were amazing, we both got the Beef Barbacoa. Also, got a Dip Trio (Salsa, guacamole, and chile con queso) and the salsa was unique and very flavorful but not very spicy. The con queso was so delicious, I've had many different types and this one was hands down the best, super cheesy too!

Ordered carnitas nachos which was literally 8 chips on a little tray. Didn't even cover the tray it was served on. I didn't even know I could count chips in nachos until this place. I was surprised. The carnitas tasted like ground beef. Overall not terrible but I would NOT recommend the food here if you are hungy. Tiny portions. Friends had tacos which were sized for children. True Vatos would be sad. Drinks were decent. Not sure if I'd return.

I ended up here while searching for a birria taco. The first place I tried based on a Google search was going to be very authentic, well, it was boarded up and surrounded by chainlink fence. Every thing else was a bit sketch so I decided to head over toward the new Westminster mall area. The food is more Tex-mex in my opinion but very very well flavored and portioned for the price. I had a Paloma and some nice conversation with the staff at the bar while I waited for my take out order. I will definitely head back to enjoy the atmosphere and some more Palomas!

Nachos are a scam. $1.35 per chip at $11. Sugar, Salt, or Tajin options are great for a drink. But 50¢ added for Tajin was mildly offensive. I understand what it takes to be profitable but the nickel and dime on your customer is atrocious here. Photo: Chips and salsa are top tray and the nachos are the bottom.

Everything tasted fine, but it was way overpriced for what you get. Really small tacos and very mediocre quality.

Vatos catered our wedding rehearsal dinner and I couldn't recommend them more highly! They were super easy to work with and adaptable to changes within our plans. On site they were prompt with set up and fantastic people! They were kind and the food was phenomenal! We had people remarking about how good it was for the next few days!! Thank you for helping make our day special!!!!!!

Tacos were ok they should really grill the tortilla or something it seemed like they just pulled it out of a bag and slapped meat on it.

Vatos Tacos & Tequila seems trendy and whatever, but the food was not good. I had the veggie burrito and it was no good at all

This food was the worst, I ordered the carnitas nachos, and was expecting nachos, I got maybe 8-10 nachos on the tray. Like for the price I paid, I expected a bed of Nachos, with the fixings. The other order was pork al pastor tacos, uh I think you need to look up a recipe for that, because all that was in between the tortilla was the meat, tons of nasty pineapple, tons of onion and tons of cilantro. No sides of lime wedges or salsas nothing. It was missing everything that goes with pork al pastor tacos. The only thing that was decent here was the beer, almost $30 for the meal and it wasn’t even worth the price. Won’t be returning, and I recommend you don’t try it.

We visiting Vato’s during a free concert outside. The place was very busy. We order the dip trio Togo so we could sit outside. After about 30 minutes of waiting I went to check on our order. Having worked 20 years in the industry I knew to be empathetic. I went to the bar area and said, “I know you are busy but would you mind checking on our order?” The girl responded we are very busy. ( I could see so much food waiting in the window) she said your food is probably in the window but we have to go in order. All this food was getting cold. So I waited my turn. Another server came up and asked if I had been helped. I said I’m just waiting on my chips and dip trio which I am told is just sitting there. She was kind enough to grab my togo order. She out lids on all the Togo dips. The chips were hit and fresh. The guacamole was ed to the top of the cup. The salsa was filled to the top of the cup. The queso was barely half full. I would have been okay with the half queso if the guac and salsa matched that portion. The queso was good. Wish we had more of it to enjoy. Would I return? Maybe.
