West 29th Restaurant & Bar

I detest the 'back of house' charges. Set the price of the food that you need to cover your operating expenses. If you need more money to pay your employees - don't tack on a fee. Change the price of the food I am ordering. I usually tip 20%. I tipped 15 because you decided to add 3%. The hostess and staff were great. Our actual server was horrible. She left us initially waiting for 20 minutes. She didn't actually bring our food or clear the tables, or fill the water. The food was good - nothing spectacular. The location is right on a busy street and we sat outside. The weather was perfect, but inside may have been a better choice.

We reserved a table on the patio, so it started off pretty rocky when the hostess got upset when she tried to seat us inside and we pushed back to sit outside as we had booked. She then put us out back by ourselves at a table that hadn't been cleaned and had spider webs all over it. Made us feel like we were in time out. The evening was rapidly saved though when we met our very friendly server and had a great meal. Split the mussels and the New York strip between the two of us. Was a good amount of food (took home left overs).

The food was good to very good which it always is, but they need to update their website menu, I was looking forward to their excellent fis and chips which is still on the website menu and not on the restaurant menu and when I asked the server he said it had not been on the menu for 4 or 5 months. Disappointment!

I've enjoyed 3 dinners at this bistro and it's fast becoming a favorite. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, indoor or outside on the patio. The menu features plenty of variety without being overwhelming. Every dish I've tried so far has been excellent, including evening specials and desserts. Staff and service is fantastic.

Sitting outside on a beautiful summer evening was terrific. Great staff and very good food.

Great place to have a relaxing dinner. Sat on the patio, very enjoyable. The wait staff is great, food is outstanding. Look forward to the next time we are there.

It was our anniversary, and our first time dining at West 29th. I had the pork chop and garlic mashed potatoes, my husband had the chicken. Lovely presentation, the food was prepared perfectly, and the atmosphere was quiet and elegant. Our server was excellent. We shared a key lime pie slice for dessert, which was also absolutely on point. We had a wonderful experience, and will definitely visit West 29th again!

Great food, great service, and wonderful setting. Prices are very fair just make sure you order dessert before the kitchen closes!

It has been a tradition for several years now for my brother and wife and I to come here to celebrate special events! They continue to serve up good food, good drinks and a good time. Cheers to West 29th!

I grew up a block and a half from this building when it was our neighborhood store. We would run down for milk or bread and got to buy penny candy from behind the counter with the change. They have added an addition and a beautiful patio with a fountain but increased the charm of this precious building. The food was very good and the menu has a good variety. I will return for sure. Fun memories for me!

great atmosphere on a rainy night. There was a fire going in the dining room. The outdoor patio would be nice on a warm dry night. Food was excellent, service great.

Amazing food- such a wonderful place- I wish I'd known it was here before now! We will be back. Eggplant Parmesan was amazing!

Went for a birthday dinner and wished I had found this restaurant sooner. I will be back!
