Cacciatore at Heller's Kitchen Windsor

Went there last night for our anniversary. When ordering drinks the waiter informed us that they are closing this weekend and were limited on certain things. If we would have known this we would not have gone there. Just avoid the place this week as they aren’t restocking their supplies and the service was pretty lame.

Fantastic Italian food! Our party had the salmon, seafood pasta, and lasagna. All amazing. Sausage and meatballs with the lasagna had great flavor. Can be a bit noisy inside when the place is full, but still a must try!

Had an absolutely fantastic meal. Service, food, and ambience were all on point. So sorry that they are closing permanently. Have had some great meals there over the years. The hearth going out of business as well. What will happen to downtown Windsors scene?

It was our first time here. Kind of thrown off with being told by the hostess that without reservations they were booked the rest of the night but if we gave them some time they would come get us when they were ready with a cleared table. Then after we were seated hostess was able to just seat people without saying that to anyone else. Food was great! Server was good too.

Website hours are wrong. Drove from Fort Collins to meet family for a Sunday dinner to find that they are closed. Even the menu next to the front door shows that they are open on Sunday. Hopefully they can fix their hours or be open when they say they are going to be open. Very disappointed

The atmoshpere is very nice with the food and drinks tasting amazing! Being sicilian and italian and growing up with an italian family restaurant in New York City makes me a very picky eater and this place by far exceeds all my expectations. The food is fantastic and the staff is fun and entertaining.

Overall we had an ok experience. Nothing earth shattering. Kind of pricing for what you get...Ask for a house cab, said they were out and got a substitute for a higher price. How can you run out of your house wine, just substitute with another and keep the price. Ordered a signature dish and again out of prosciutto ham for the dish...again how can that happen at an Italian restaurant. Appetizers took a long time with dinner following shortly after. Nice server.Will probably go back and try again at some point, hopefully will be a better experience.

The first time we ate here, the food was good and the service was great, but this time it was kind of the opposite. The food was great and the service was not good. The eggplant Parmasan was delicious! But we didn't get any bread or the salads we ordered before our meal arrived. So they ended up bringing them out after we got our meals. Then we asked for more wine, and we didn't get it until we were about ready to leave and had to ask the server to get it for us. We should've just not got the second glass since we already done eating. My husband and I are fairly patient people, and we know this stuff happens, but without an apology or comp, it was pretty frustrating.

The pasta sauce was amazing. The service was great. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I wish they offered “Happy Hour” specials to us non-alcohol users.

Vegetarian options: The price to substitute zucchini for the pasta was high.
