Food was good; service in restaurant/bar not so much. Beautiful location. Drinks not so good. Music fun. Lots of seating options. Happy Hour is s great idea but can you include sunset in the hours? Gondola ride up was about the smoothest, quietist, cozy, and comfortable I've had at any CO ski resort and its staff is fantastic, friendly, and helpful.

Killer atmosphere. Rest is below meh. 32 bucks for chili cheese fries, a side of fries, and a can of soda. All fountain drinks were stale and needed changed. Just super underwhelming.

Beautiful Lodge mid mountain at Winter Park Ski Resort. Great views and nice place for Apre Ski with live music.

Better food, prices, and atmosphere than Lunch Rock

I can say you are paying for the view because the food is terrible but at a premium price. It is the place to go to sit, enjoy the live music, have a drink and enjoy the view but I would recommend eating somewhere down the mountain.

Try to eat lunch before or after noon, extremely crowded at lunch time. Pretty good food though.

Centrally located, great spot to meet up with other people. The cafeteria food is okay, cafeteria food. Service in the bar is great. Expensive, but that is expected at a resort.

Absolutely dreadful selection. Burritos, chicken sandwich are all pre-made, and they had run out by 115 today. The burgers are terrible. Super limited menu, I don't understand how this is what's available at the top of WP.

We had a 730 reservation for the Thanksgiving buffet and they started clearing food at 8 PM. Turkey was dry, gravy was thin, pumpkin pie was the worst I've ever had.

Experience was great. Well worth the cost. Gondola ride was beautiful. Service was fantastic. Every person who we came into contact with was friendly. Prosecco toast and coat check was a nice touch. Food was very well done, great variety and good flavors. If I had to find a complaint it would be the temp of the food was a little lukewarm, but it was also 4 degrees out, and people weren't closing the serving tray lids after they were done serving themselves, plus our table was as far away from the buffet area as you can get, so what heat the food had was lost by the time we got to the table. That being said....It's a buffet with temp serving trays, not made to order food that is sent straight to your table. I don't mind lukewarm food as long it's fresh and flavorful, and it was. Turkey and ham were INCREDIBLE, and the stars of the show, as they should be. Moist, flavorful, hot and the carvers kept hooking my husband up with big ole steaks of meat after he told them he was a turkey fanatic, and talked to them and thanked them for a few minutes. Be nice to your servers y'all and they will reward you. Bread service with cranberry sauce was great. I swear I could eat several bowls of the cranberry sauce. That and the pumpkin pie tarts were the stars of the evening for me. The turkey and these 2, plus the biscotti were the stars for my husband. Lastly, the tableside affogato was yummy. Very good, although I would probably change it from cold brew to hot coffee or espresso. The cold brew on top of the gelato just made it kinda icy. Still good, but ice and then going back out into 4 degree weather was brrr.

My husband and I really enjoyed the experience of Thanksgiving at Sunspot. The food was very good with a wide variety of choices. The tables were attractive and the way it was setup made moving around easy. No long lines! Our service was excellent from riding the lift up, to the champagne greeting, and to our wonderful waitress. Every employee we interacted with was so friendly and welcoming. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. First, we were unsure about what time to get on the lift (our reservation was at 5:30), so we called the resort. We were told that we could get on the lift early and have a drink at Sunspot. That was not the case. When we arrived at 4:50 we were able to locate a lift employee and were told that we couldn't go up until the host arrived. It would have been nice to have that explained on our reservation confirmation. It worked out fine as we had a drink at Doc's Roadhouse. The second issue was the ice cold plates. Our food very quickly cooled off. Some of the chafing dish food was lukewarm at best.. Combined with the cold plates, it lessened the experience. We would consider coming next year in the hopes that these issues would be resolved.
