Make sure you check the freshness of the food before you pay for the overpriced items.

I hear so many complaints about WP food but I loved the Turkey Pot Pie today. Yesterday was packed beyond belief but today was just regular crowds. I love getting a discount with my Ikon Pass!

December 2024 Lunch and Apres Lodge at Winter Park Ski resort.
Had lunch, chili and went for drinks after skiing ⛷️ Local live music 🎵 was nice. It's at 11,222 feet on the mountain 🏔️

Kid hot cocoa and can of peace tea $16. Ridiculous. We’ll keep to car lunch.

The soup of the day was delicious, Mac&cheese and loaded fries as well.
Sitting outside made it even nicer. If you sit outside, watch your food, the birds are not shy.

I have never seen incompetence like this. What a joke of a restaurant. The people here actually think serving fries is a tough job. A lady asked what the soup of the day was and they just said “I don’t know”. This place is a joke save your money.

It’s a nice facility on the mountain with lots of windows and seating. The service is not great. No sense of urgency. There was a line building during the lunch rush and the two employees ignored the line of people, deciding instead to tag team prep bowls of macaroni and cheese. One employee was watching the fries fry in the deep fryer rather than helping customers. Skip this place if you want a quick lunch stop. The food was just ok, the fries were old and instead of throwing them out when fresh ones were ready, they just piled the fresh ones on top of the very old ones.

If you like food, you will be. This place has food and it’s edible. Not a whole lot else to say. Nice views though!

Mediocre food in a very crowded setting. Unfortunately they cannot handle crowds. Service is very slow and seating is limited and inefficient. Don't think about it between 12 and 1 any day.

The price gouging here is out of control. It's definitely worse in recent seasons than before. Spent less on lunch on a recent trip to Aspen, which really says how out of control pricing is.

To be honest, we just want a beer and to warm up, so it's not hard to please us. We have generally had pretty awesome and friendly service all over Winter Park Mountain... until today and bartender Gabe at the Lunch Rock. He was really rude (which is generally unheard of in Colorado), pissy about IDs - my hair is white, my husband and I are in our late 40s - and then lectured me about ordering drinks from an open bar seat before leaving to go elsewhere. Frankly, Gabe, your grouchy demeanor (I get it, everyone else is boarding and you're slinging drinks) does not inspire anyone to cozy up to the bar. Sorry.
