We got there the night of the 8th. It wasn’t bad… it was understaffed and the two people working seemed frantic. It took over 10 mins to check into the hotel there that you also had to do at the restaurant. Room was also dirty from previous person, not clean at all…

BUT! We went down to the diner to have breakfast the next morning, and we had the most AMAZING cook! He made great conversation, food was AMAZING, and he made it a very welcoming atmosphere!!...

A couple of these reviews sound like they’re from our friends Karen and Kyle. The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly and the food was fantastic. Very reasonably priced too!

Ate at Penny’s a couple times during our stay in Yampa. Had the Frisco burger and a grilled cheese + bacon. Both were great. Another person on the party ordered the breakfast burrito. It was large and looked fabulous. Seemingly the same 3 women were working there around the clock but they were super helpful to myself and our crew. Those ladies definitely need a raise!
