It amazes me how busy this restaurant is every night of the week. The food is good, the service is quite good, and it is a really nice atmosphere whether you are upstairs in the bar or in the restaurant. Outdoor seating is also a plus.

On vacation, we learned about this place by accident for brunch and went back again for dinner the next night. Lovely staff and excellent food. Generous portions and a reasonable tab made for a reason to go back. HEADS UP! They have a prix-fixe on Sunday and Monday for dinner that is excellent!

The weather was ideal for dinner outside at Abigail’s and we succeeded I getting a table on the patio! Our server, Johanna, was cheerful, attentive and helpful! The menu gave us several ideas, but the specials were also sounding good. Both my husband and I chose the special Burrata Salad which consisted of watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, arugula, cheese and apple slices! It was presented very well and was quite tasty. We both decided on the Pork Medallions which were artistically arranged with apple slices and potatoes! There were three large medallions, which were delectable! The portions of the salads and pork medallions were large and we ended up having some potatoes and a pork medallion boxed for home. I had picked the Malbec wine and my husband liked the house Cabernet Sauvignon. We each enjoyed our choice. Our dinner was fantastic and the atmosphere of a lovely summer evening was perfect!

Busy night at this place made it quite a noisy dinner, but comfortable nonetheless. Food was very good, and I especially liked the clams casino appetizer. Portions were excellent, so no room for desert. Would go back.

We go to Abigail’s a few times each month. It’s always a dependable stop. We ate on the patio and had excellent service by Abby (how appropriate—Abigail!). My wife had the seafood cocktail starter and scallops as her entree. Both were outstanding. I started with the wedge and had the swordfish as my entree. Swordfish was excellent. We ordered these entrees so we could share!! The combo could be a menu item. It was half price for wine, so we had a bottle of Matua Savignon Blanc. It went great with the seafood dishes.

Our first trip to Abigail's Grill which is a lovely old home with interesting details in Simsbury. Lunches for two were delicious. A bowl of butternut squash soup and shrimp bisque were hot and delicious and served with warm rolls. The oven baked scrod and blackened red snapper were perfectly cooked with very tasty sides. Dessert... yum!! Don't pass it up. Our server was attentive and friendly. The dining areas were full but we only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. I would call ahead for reservations next time as this restaurant is popular. Would highly recommend.

Abigail's has great ambiance with excellent food and friendly staff. My wife and I have been there many times and never disappointed. incredibly cozy when you have a table near one of the fireplaces. Never rushed, always able to savor the food and wine. Great Sunday Brunch for a family get together. Love their French Onion soup, and penne with chicken and vodka sauce. Highly recommended!

We always get what we expect— excellent service, phenomenal fare and cozy elegance. Our visit on this occasion was situational. We were hungry but we couldn’t decide on what type of food to eat so Abigails was an obvious choice. They have a great selection with many options and all of them are good. This time around we signed onto the prix fixe meal— an appetizer and entrée and a dessert all for $29.99. We both enjoyed the creamy, packed-with -clams homemade clam chowder. Absolutely delicious, every time. My daughter dug into the fusilli alla vodka with chicken— tender chicken with tangy creamy sauce made for a memorable combo. I chose the seafood Alfredo— jumbo shrimp with al dente melt-in-your-mouth pasta smothered with rich Alfredo sauce. Both were winners. Desert just topped it all off with a smile Our server was entertaining and talented, more than capable at every turn. He added in a history lesson for free. Our last stop following this amazing meal was to the upstairs bathroom to visit the resident ghost Abigail. Unfortunately she wasn’t in her office

We had a family dinner on a Sunday evening after Christmas and everyone had a fabulous time. They have a price fix menu on Sundays and half price bottles of wine. We had two incredible bottles of wine. All of the apps and entries were delicious and surprisingly filling considering it was a price fix menu. The deserts were very good also. We will be back soon!!!!!!

I had brunch at Abigail’s Grille and Wine Bar in Simsbury, Connecticut on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 11:45 AM, with my husband and daughter. I had Fish and Chips, which I enjoyed very much. The fish was definitely very fresh and was delicious. My husband and daughter both ordered from the Complete Brunch Menu, which was an excellent value being $22.95. Including One Brunch Entrée & Choice of Dessert. Freshly Brewed Coffee, Herbal Teas & One Brunch Cocktail: Mimosa, Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, Cape Codder, or Spumante Champagne. My husband had the Chicken and Waffles entree and my Daughter had the Corned Beef Hash and Pouched-Egg entrée, which was gluten free. They both enjoyed their meals very much. The food was of high-quality, nicely prepared, and cooked the way we liked it. The helpings were also quite generous. We all had enough to eat and were able to take the desserts to go. My daughter also had some food left over from her main course to eat at another time, which was very good reheated The service was excellent. Our server was very friendly, polite, helpful and efficient. It was a rainy day. I made reservations for outdoor seating but the hostess was able to accommodate us indoors because of the rain, seating us at a very nice table located just before the entrance to the patio on the right, away from the other tables, which was quite nice. We did have a very nice dining experience and would go back again. The only thing is there is definitely a lot of people that take advantage of this nice brunch and the restaurant was pretty full when we entered before 11:45 AM, which was the first time available to make a reservation when I made it on Friday. The restaurant was pretty much full as we were leaving. So it is hard to avoid a crowd if you are planning an early Sunday Brunch at Abigail’s. There was also plenty of free parking convenient to the restaurant.

The pre-fix Sunday-Monday Special is a wonderful deal! The food is well prepared and has a lovely presentation. We really enjoy it!

First time, place was packed at lunch, no outside tables available, sat at bar inside, had already eaten but decided to get dessert - fantastic cheesecake. Tried a great dessert wine with it - very nice pairing. Will be back for a meal for sure. Great old building.
