We enjoyed our food, but it was expensive. We waited about an hour for our entrees which was disappointing. We didn't have to wait long to be seated which was good but once seated, the air had an odd smell to it. Not sure if it was from a spill or a group seated near us but it was just unsettling. I may try Amici again at lunch time instead of for dinner, but if the wait is just as long and if the odor is actually how the dining area smells, I won't bother with another visit.

MY FAMILY BROUGHT ME TO DINNER FRIDAY 3/29 AND I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE SERVICE, TIMING OF FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE. I WAS A LITTLE DISSAPPOINTED IN THE SCALLOP ENTREE THAT STATED SEA SCALLOPS AND I RECEIVED 5 QUARTER SIZED SCALLOPS THAT SEEMED THIN FOR SEA SCALLOPS. I WAS A BIT UNDERWHELMED IN PORTION BUT COOKED PERFECT! A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE. WILL RETURN.

Best meal I have had in awhile and I go out at least 3 times a week. Great service, shrimp and scallops cooked perfectly, pasta aldente the way it should be. Not precooked. Best tiramisu from anywhere from Avon to West Hartford. Drinks are poured generously and not overpriced. My first time at this location. But will be a regular, even at 20 to 30 mins away. And very nice atmosphere quiet yet casual.

The veal parmigiana and garlic bread was very good.

Good service, nice decor, but their $18 octopus appetizer was deceptive and should have been called roast potato pieces w/ 5 bites of octopus. It is ridiculous to call it octopus appetizer wen it was 90% potato and sausage pieces.. My complaint was met w/a shoulder shrug. I will never go back.

My recent visit to Amici was disappointing to say the least. Not only did the manager offer a dismissive response when I expressed my dissatisfaction with our drinks and overall dining experience, but this is the same manager who was also preoccupied watching Netflix's "Wheel of Time" at the host stand upon our arrival. The martinis lacked depth, were overly strong, were not shaken properly, and had an unpleasant bitterness. This clearly highlights the lack of bartending experience at this restaurant. To make matters worse, the food failed to impress; the chicken was dry and nearly inedible, and the steak arrived undercooked, requiring us to send it back after waiting just under 30 minutes for our meal in the first place. Overall, our experience fell far short of expectations, highlighting a dire need for improvements in both drink and food quality. Bright side is you don't have to worry about getting a seat, the place is completely empty.

One star is even too much. Figured we try this restaurant again, seeing they have a new menu. Bad mistake. The mushrooms in my dish were spotted in color, and the chicken tasted like the refrigerator. Sorry to say we won't be going back.

This is a terrific place to take someone on a first date. You walk in and the decor is very tastefully done, with flowing fabric on the ceilings and a great warm color scheme that makes the place feel like you can take off your cold jacket and warm up with some great food. Service was terrific. The waitress was friendly and welcoming without overstaying a welcome, and great at suggesting items off the menu. Calamari appetizer was served New York style with peppers and marinara, and very well done-- not too fried, but cooked to retain its texture. Salads were part of the meal and also excellent with multiple dressing options. Then the entrees came and they were spectacular. Like, I asked our waitress to "give our compliments and thanks to the chef". Based on a recommendation from the waitress, I ordered a gnocchi and brisket dish with vegetables, and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked, great flavors that worked together, and so fulfilling. Everyone traded portions with everyone at the table to try something else, and no one was hungry or disappointed. We left feeling quite happy and will return back for another visit soon. Highly recommended for some of the best Italian in the area.

The staff made us feel at home, the food was excellent. The food was well seasoned and not bland or over sweet like most restaurants. Portion sizes were just right and the best French onion soup that I've had in a long while.

Amicis in Avon CT is one of my go to restaurants! The atmosphere is beautiful. The service is top notch and the food is delicious as well as more than enough! I have been going here since the 90's and never have had a bad meal or poor experience! The owners are visible in the restaurant and work side by side helping staff clear tables deliver food etc. Our waitress Kerri was such a joy! She was friendly attentive and just a fun person! We all went home with extra food because the portions are so big! I highly recommend Amicis if your in the area give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

I've been to Amici's 3 times in the past 6 months. Everytime, we enjoy ourselves! The restaurant is beautiful. Traditional and cozy Italian place. Great give. The service is always good as well, nothing to complain about. The menu offers classic Italian dishes as well as a few some unique entrees. I've had the stuffed mushrooms and shrimp appetizer...both flavorful. I've ordered the Eggplant parm entree every time I've gone because it's that good! Eggplant parm is my favorite food and I'm picky about it- I actually am usually disappointed in most restaurants but Amici's knows how to do it! They actually evenly layer the eggplant, cheese and sauce. My mother has gotten the Veal Marsala and Chicken Christina and enjoyed both very much. Only complaint is the mashed potatoes that her dish came with looked like they were scooped with an ice cream scooper- therefore they looked unappetizing and cheap. I love that each entree comes with soup or salad to start, as well as bread. I love this place and there's no good traditional Italian restaurants in the area, so if you're looking for Italian- go here!!
