Ate at Bertuccis in Avon for the first time and had the pleasure of getting waited on by Danielle B. She was very kind, and very kind to my young children whom sometimes get too rowdy but she gave them one on one attention when ordering and throughout our meal, really making it an easier and more enjoyable time for me! She was efficient and showed genuine care towards us. I was so impressed I asked for her schedule so I can make sure she’s here when I come back! 5 stars for Danielle, not often you find employees who really care for their job it’s quite impressive. Don’t let her go anywhere Bertuccis she is a great asset to your company!!!
It's rare when I remove a star from a restaurant. Sorry, Bertucci's Avon. Dirty sticky tabletops with a bad table view brings you down to a 4 star review. Because the food was still well-prepared and delicious, I'll leave it there.Lunch service left no booths, so we were seated at a table by the front windows that look at the parking lot. We commented immediately on the sticky surface of the table and the crumbs all over the table and our seats. I figured out quickly this must be the section they have kids birthday parties since our view was of a tall stack of high chairs and menus advertised these events. The table next to us after the family of four left remained uncleaned the whole time we were there until receiving the bill. Despite the staff member trying to clean it, the crumbs mostly wiped around or dropped down to the seat covers. Our two meals, however, were excellent. My salad with a salmon add-on was not missing in any area. My companion's calzone with sausage he liked, but he was disappointed he could not get the Chicken Parm sandwich he wanted since this is a lunch menu item only available Monday - Friday.#Bertucci's earns five stars as another chain restaurant did I reviewed recently. I haven't been to this Bertucci's in years, not for any particular reason, but always remembered it had an inviting atmosphere and reliably good food. Nothing has changed. Interior design and seating still inviting, menu variety still makes customers ponder as the selections are all appealing, and a variety of drinks from the bar. After being seated, we were brought two house rolls to have with our carafe of Elderflower Punch. Fresh. To our surprise, our waitress came back to the table with steaming hot rolls freshly made by the Chef. She said he did not want us to have rolls that were not right out of their brick oven! Amazing. The punch was a little sweet and light on pour - so we moved on to red wine by the glass. The right choice. The manager came and introduced himself to us, as we heard him do the same to neighboring tables. He said it was important that we enjoyed our experience there. For those of you who read my reviews and remember I'm working on a top ten wings list, Bertucci's made the cut. Their twice baked garlic parmesan wings were outstanding. Pluses in all categories: size, juiciness, flavor, crisp of the skin, doneness and temperature when served. The Caesar salad was also beyond expectations as a side. Crunchy croutons, fresh Romaine, thin slices of fresh parmesan and a proper dressing for this classic recipe.Mains: I've written before since lasagna is laborious to make I like to order this sometimes for different interpretations. As a chain and not having eaten this in awhile, I ordered this dish. Absolutely satisfying. Worth going back for...The chicken piccata - also a success from the kitchen. Only thing missing I noticed as my partner dived in were the capers! Ouch. Mentioning this to our waitress, she apologized saying they were out of them. This was odd since there are a few grocery stores within a short distance. Regardless, the plate was tasty and heating up the leftovers the next day, I added capers to give them that extra punch.Bonus review: Two friends hearing we were there joined us. Both of their orders got thumbs up: Chicken Parmesan and Farmhouse Salad with add-on grilled shrimp. The Chicken Parm came with a big portion of breaded moist chicken breasts with the right amount of melted cheese and flavorful sauce over penne. The salad had many ingredients from fresh mozzarella balls to many vegetables. The ten large grilled add-on shrimp made it a meal.We ordered a pizza to take home to try. There's are freshly tossed before going into the brick oven here. We ordered a large Pucillo with pepperoni, sweet sausage, cheese, vegetables and house made tomato sauce. Nice. It's really hard to find a bad pizza in Connecticut. Avon Bertucci's opens at 11AM all week. Friday and Saturday 11AM -11PM. Catered food available. Happy hour is from 3-7PM i
Thank you so much for a great experience. We had a last minute change with our training schedule and Bertucci’s accommodated a large group with amazing service! Our school will always come here in the future.
Met my cousins for dinner. There were a lot of empty tables but had to wait to get seated. I and one other person ordered chicken parmesan meal and one ordered four cheese Ravioli. The food was delicious and once seated the service was okay.
We were last there about a year ago. They have a new menu, with a nice variety. The sauce has improved. My wife had shrimp with spaghetti. They must have had a pound of spaghetti and a good amount of shrimp perfectly cooked, not rubbery at all. My son had soma rigatoni in a meat sauce that he said was terrific. I had the chicken piccata which was really flavorful and tender. The service was quick attentive and friendly. Of course they had their famous bread which is hard to beat. We were too filled to request dessert! We will be back!
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food, fresh brick oven pizza!
I went there for a late lunch, as I had not eaten yet. They told me it would be about 10 minutes, but I waited over half an hour! Some kind Samaritan , another customer, offered me a piece of her pizza, just so I would not starve to death! (Kudos to her)! Now I recall why I never go to Bertucci’s anymore. It is the epitome of everything I dislike about Connecticut! Really & truly. I am being kind to give them 2 stars! And when I FINALLY got the food home, I did not like it!
This was our first visit to a Bertucci's and we enjoyed it. Had the sporky (sausage, ricotta) pizza, nice thin crust. Wife had chicken + broccoli pasta with a light lemon sauce. Daughter had fettuccine Alfredo, again not a heavy sauce. I had rigitoni with tomato sauce. It was full of onion and tomato pieces. Enough leftovers for lunch. This chain did a great job including top notch service!
Updating my response to reflect my experience last evening, 6/27/22. My wife and I went in for dinner, and there seemed to be only one member of the service staff taking orders over 3-4 tables, so the service was slow and she seemed in a rush, though she was very polite! We recieved rolls and oil from another member of the staff, but not plates, utensils, straws, or napkins. The mixed drinks we ordered were very sweet, the salads were wilted, and our appetizer never came out (although it was removed from the bill at our request). The entree pasta was pretty good. However, I'm not sure what of the meal it was, but neither my wife nor I felt very good after eating. In short, I believe additional attention is needed to:1) Food and drink quality assurance.2) Assuring adequate staff are available and that they are making sure tables are properly seated with what they need.I probably won't be returning for a while, and I'd advise others reading this to review other options along Route 44 until a commitment to improve quality is made.
The food is good but takeout results are very spotty. Sometimes the portions are good, even generous. Other times the portions are very skimpy! Based on how much they charge, portions should be consistently good.

Riley was our server. She was very attentive and prompt. Highlight of the experience was when we asked for an old menu item, but couldn’t remember the name, Riley went to the back with our description after apps Jim the manager appeared with our Solano pizza (spelling). I’d like to the staff of Avon Bertuccis, Jim, and Riley for a great experience.
Ambience was lacking as I was the only person in the restaurant so I sat at the bar, which is strangely its own room. Food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the baked ziti with meatball. Quality ingredients and very nicely made.
The Avon CT location of the restaurant had been a favorite of mine in the early 2000s and it didn't disappoint today either. Friendly, helpful waiter, comfortable seats and good food.
Ordered take out caesar salad, $14 for old lettuce, 5 pieces of chicken, 5 croutons, and no dressing in the bag. Not coming back
I was in your establishment yesterday and we had Aaliyah as a server. She was awesome and we would definitely like to come back . But one thing that concerned me, was a man seemed to be in the kitchen area yelling very loud at a worker while banging an object . I don’t know what the worker did but I feel that was unacceptable, and no one should be yelled at like that in a place of business with customers in the restaurant (or ever). I didn’t feel comfortable having my young child hearing that. Makes me think if its a place I would want to dine at again…
