Outstanding selection of beer, and their selection of IPAs is fabulous. Great location, with a very nice outdoor space. Family friendly, outstanding staff, super clean, and excellent beer.
I love the beer, the owners, and the art!! It's a unique place! If you're looking for a good time, delicious beer, and a great atmosphere, definitely check this place out! Highly recommend!!
Atmosphere and staff need some work.
I visited this brewery several times over the years, so it is time to leave a review. This brewery specializes in European varieties - Lagers, Kolschs, Helles' and similar. While you can find other varieties on tap (like a couple of IPAs) their true strength is in their specialty. The lagers I had here are very solid. I will specifically recommend Lost Acre - a dark Czech Lager served in an authentic glass. You cannot order beer flights, but they do serve short glasses.
The place has one big space inside the building and one big outdoor patio. You can expect food trucks during the week, but if there's nothing on site, then you will have to bring your own food, because brewery does not sell snacks. I appreciate the selection of adult drawing books available for entertainment and some board games. The Brewery is located right off the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail, which makes it a good destination for biking.
Overall, I recommend this place.
PS: they sold "Dwarf in a Barrel" imperial stout before and it was amazing. Unfortunately, it went out of production. RIP Dwarf, you're not forgotten.
Good selection of beer. However wish they had more non beer options. They had 2 wine selections, that it.
Great beer! Would not suggest staff are very rude
I’ve visited this place several times to enjoy some drinks and unwind, especially appreciating the fenced outdoor area where people can relax with their dogs. However, my most recent visit was disappointing and left me quite frustrated. Despite there being no signage requiring dogs to be leashed, when I was one of the few patrons there, the owners “wife” (wouldn’t want this as a someone in my life) unexpectedly opened the gate, potentially allowing the dogs to escape. Thankfully, I had preemptively leashed my dog. What’s more perplexing is that I've frequently seen the owner’s dog roaming freely throughout the venue, which gave the impression that it was acceptable for our dogs to be off-leash as well. This inconsistency in enforcing their own rules not only undermines the safety of our pets but also spoils the laid-back atmosphere. I won’t be returning and would suggest if your wanting a place to take your dog and relax that this would not be a place to visit. I will be posting making sure that I let everyone know about the experience that I had at this place. As I have suggested this place to a lot of people. Their are plenty of other breweries to enjoy without a hypocritical c u next Tuesday opening a gate on you to allow your dogs to run away.
Don't sleep on this place; Hopmeadow's beers are incredible and always true to style. Their staff is helpful & knowledgeable and truly family-owned & run which is rare these days. The place is gorgeous as well- so many personal touches and handmade art. Perfect chill spot for dates. They have lots of long tables so they're great for group hangs too. Go!!
Amazing beer; amazing people.Avon, CT has a real beer gem on its hands.Wide variety of styles executed perfectly; but their lagers are top notch! One of the few breweries paying real reverance to their beer and its presentation.Staff is friendly and always great for chatting, assuming you can stop drinking for a moment.Taproom is always spotless, amazing art everywhere, and you can even tell the food trucks are well-curated.If you're looking to support an amazing, local, family-run business then pull up a stool and look no further!
Amazing beers, lovely people

AMAZING BREWS
Excellent beer and atmosphere. All beer is brewed in small batches with only the finest ingredients. The owner/ head brewer is involved with every process so quality is as high as it gets.If you are a lager drinker this place is a must try, no one is doing it better!
Went with friends and was delighted with the art-forward atmosphere, the relaxed and friendly family working at the establishment, the dog-friendly policy (leashed, of course!) and of course, the amazing and creative brews! We have some real beer snobs in our group and everyone felt very satisfied with their choices.
