Don't sleep on this place; Hopmeadow's beers are incredible and always true to style. Their staff is helpful & knowledgeable and truly family-owned & run which is rare these days. The place is gorgeous as well- so many personal touches and handmade art. Perfect chill spot for dates. They have lots of long tables so they're great for group hangs too. Go!!

Amazing beer; amazing people.Avon, CT has a real beer gem on its hands.Wide variety of styles executed perfectly; but their lagers are top notch! One of the few breweries paying real reverance to their beer and its presentation.Staff is friendly and always great for chatting, assuming you can stop drinking for a moment.Taproom is always spotless, amazing art everywhere, and you can even tell the food trucks are well-curated.If you're looking to support an amazing, local, family-run business then pull up a stool and look no further!

Went with friends and was delighted with the art-forward atmosphere, the relaxed and friendly family working at the establishment, the dog-friendly policy (leashed, of course!) and of course, the amazing and creative brews! We have some real beer snobs in our group and everyone felt very satisfied with their choices.

The Hopmeadow Brewery in Avon is a small brewery. It is right next to the Small State Provisions bakery. They have a little patio for outdoor seating. On the day I was here they didn't have any live music. It would be a lot of fun having gone here during some live music. They had a food truck outside. There is a different food truck for each day. The brewery is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. I got the Blue Hills Cider, this was very appley and sweet. I really enjoyed it! This one is from a guest brewery, it isn't Hopmeadow's own. My friend got their Citra Nitra. It was crisp and refreshing with citrus undertones. There were no sours on their tap list. Sours are my favorite. We played scrabble while we drank our beers. The Hopmeadow brewery is really nice brewery with very attentive staff.

Beware - all the beer is super bitter, and if you don’t like your beer, they won’t give you replacement, so ASK for a TASTE before you buy. The staff seemed nice, but kind of close minded... when we had a discussion about how bitter the beer was, they basically said: "You are wrong. We are right. End of discussion. We do not respect your opinion." The location was nice and the atmosphere was nice. I'm just sad the staff did not have good customer service skills. (Note: I paid for a $5 beer and I was asking to change to a $4 beer, so I'm not sure how much a 6 ox beer cost them to pour, but it seemed petty to not offer to give me a different one.)

I have been a patron for the past almost two years. With this brewery down the street, I am spoiled. I really enjoy the lagers, pilsners, stouts, and hefeweizen. I have brought Hopmeadow brews to my military friends across the country, and now they demand I bring some when I visit.You will enjoy your time and your beer at Hopmeadow!!
