Pork chops were very bland. Burger was good and chicken tenders were good.
Good draft beer selection. Half price wine bottles with dinner in Sundays & Mondays. Wide variety on the menu. Nice casual atmosphere.
I ordered a salad/bowl to go with salmon added. They didn't have change, so this was a 35 $$$$ veggie haystack bowl.. Then, I found it was 90 percent RICE. it did say there was rice IN IT, it did not state it is MOSTLY RICE. There was also NO brussel sprouts in it, another main reason I ordered It. I found NONE.
SO, I'm still hungry after a 40$$$$ salad because I refuse to eat 3 cups of rice. Dissapointed
Market Place Kitchen is a restaurant that serves farm to table meals. There are plenty of craft beer and cocktails. I love the rustic and open concept. I get a classy but casual vibe.
I started off with a espresso martini which was good 4/5. Then I had the sweet and spicy chicken bowl $23, it has sticky rice, crispy chicken, avocado, arugula, fire roasted corn salsa, radish, and cilantro lime crema. The sticky rice was not what I'm used to, it's a bit mushy. Also the amount of food was small for the price. The flavor was great though. I'd give it 3.5/5. My husband enjoyed his steak and frites. My kids liked the Mac and cheese. Overall, it's a good spot for some food and drinks. The service was good too!
Excellent service and loved my kobe burger with truffle fries. It's a noisy place.
(Last visited 11/5/2022.) During the month of November our community manager at the time set up something called #Nachovember where certain restaurants could put a specific nacho on their menu and when you checked in you had the chance to buy it for only $5.00! We had been here before for multiple Yelp Elite Events, so this review in no way reflects anything that happened at those events. This review is based upon our paid service on our own...
Atmosphere/Appearance: It was a beautiful overly warm fall day so we chose to sit outside. There is a private parking lot, but it's shared with a few other businesses so you'll find parking, no worries. Once in I'm immersed in a very large, open room which I loved. It felt like I was in a ski lodge or somewhere in Veil, CO. Lol. Light woods, stone walls, fireplaces and all kinds of stuff! We sat outside of course since the weather was nice and it was delightful.
Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no issues with service at all.
Food: Here's where we start losing stars... We checked out their Chicken & Waffles. The chicken was dry, it was crunchy and tough. C'mon now. The waffle was also just a dry. There wasn't enough butter or syrup in the world to help it out. However, our $5.00 nachos were on point indeed! It was a smaller portion of their Blackened Chicken Nachos which contain blue corn tortilla chips, Vermont white cheddar, caramelized onions, guacamole hot cherry peppers, arugula and a truffle aioli. These were excellent. Next up was the Steak Sandwich. This is described as a prime New York strip, Tillamook cheddar, caramelized mushrooms, onions and served on a garlic bread baguette. There was WAY too much bread or WAY too little steak. The steak also wasn't very hot. Taste was fine, but it is what it is. Lastly was the "Breakfast Skillet", which didn't come in a skillet at all, but the nachos did. Strange. Anyway, it's three organic eggs scrambled with spinach, sea coast mushrooms, caramelized onions, cheddar, crispy potatoes and some bacon. Aye... despite that trash I just talked, this was delicious. Everything was cooked well, seasoned and very flavorful. Filling as well.
Value: This place is right in the middle. Not too expensive, not cheap either, but a happy medium and I'll say everything we got was worth what we paid... if the improvements I recommended would be made.
In conclusion, this place is fine. Maybe brunch isn't their thing or maybe we came on an off day, but I'd be willing to try this place again, especially since we had such good experiences the other times that we came. Check this place out if you're in the area. Granted, this review is 2 years old and some major changes could've been made since then!

Ate dinner here last night. Food and service was excellent. Hope Market Place is one of the restaurants the owners open in the old CVS building they recently purchased in West Hartford. This restaurant will be extremely successful in WH.

Went there for lunch.
I ordered a burger medium which came well done.
Wife ordered a salad that was really basic and boring.
The chairs outside are not very comfortable because the end of the chair hits your thigh in an awkward position.
Service was just ok, not super attentive.
Expected more for a $50 lunch.
Probably wouldn't go back.

The food was Amazing! Definitely farm to table, as advertised. We brought in a bday cake for the occasion which they charge a fee for to keep cold and serve.

Had a lovely dinner at Market Place. Our server was excellent. Food was good. We had chicken pot pie, salad with butternut squash and goat cheese (nice portion but maple vinaigrette was too heavy on the vinegar...), and Cobb salad. Seasonal menu had switched to fall offerings but still had summer items showing on website (in case you like to peruse the menu in advance). Dim lighting and wood decor gives off a cozy, comfy farmhouse vibe.

Just discovered this restaurant and am so happy we gave it a try! Food was excellent. Loved the Farm to Table app. It was amazing and honestly I could have stopped there. Nice selection of wines and cocktails and entrees were delicious. The gnocchi was so good! Service was top notch. Whole experience was perfect. We will be back to try other items for sure as there were so many things that looked great.

I work less than two minutes away from this particular restaurant location. We decided to get lunch takeout. So four of us ordered. Of the four sandwich orders we put in, three were mediocre at best according to the others. My order was a steak sandwich that was completely inedible, incredibly overcooked, dry, and without anything but dead meat and cheese on a dry, stale roll.
It is Avon, and there are a lot of very good choices around town. But I had to give this place a shot, and I was more than a little disappointed.
