Great service. Good menu options. Restaurant was busy. Good buzz. Everything came out as ordered and not rushed or slow. Good specials and restaurant week menu. Great wine list and some good cocktail options. I will be returning.

My husband and I finally checked out Max a Mia’s new location in Avon and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautifully designed — aesthetically pleasing, sophisticated, and such a great atmosphere for a night out.
Our server, Taylor, was absolutely lovely. She was attentive, kind, and made our experience even better. The food was excellent, as always. And if you know, you know — I always order the coconut cake. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and order it next time you’re there. It’s a 10/10 every single time.
We ordered dessert to go, and unfortunately when I got home, I realized we were given two tiramisus instead of a tiramisu and my beloved coconut cake. I was honestly devastated because I had been looking forward to it all night.
I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, Lauren, who was so kind and understanding. Between her and another employee, Liz, they truly went above and beyond — they personally delivered a slice of coconut cake to my home the next day (and I live about 30 minutes away!). That level of customer service and hospitality is rare.
I cannot express how appreciative I was. Incredible food, beautiful ambiance, and some of the best customer service around. If you haven’t tried Max a Mia yet, put it on your to-do list. You won’t regret it.
After giving it multiple chances, we’re done. Overpriced, horrible sauce and pasta, and a disappointing chicken parmigiana. The quality has clearly declined. Today was our last visit.
Updated for new space. Better location, not as crowded. Always consistently good.

Food and service were top notch. I have been to this restaurant before and it is always good.
The food is excellent, always well-prepared. The staff is fantastic; service is always excellent. Do make a reservation.
Our first time in the new location. Not as intimate as old one and didn't have a lot of "atmosphere"... pretty much like any newer restaurant. Curved bar area looked really nice. Our server was great, with excellent service. The food was overall good. Caesar salad was excellent. The roasted vegetables were excellent. The bolognaise was run of the mill. I didn't love the octupus which is usually my favorite item. Too many whole beans that took up most of the plate. The plate was too small. It was a really nice piece of octupus and very tasty -- but so overwhelmed by the amount of beans. The mixture the beans were in was really nice and it would have been better to have the octupus sitting in that rather than having it mixed in so many whole beans - a total distraction.
Went to dinner for my birthday, the menu is very pork and beef heavy, neither of which my family or I eat. Expected more options, especially with pasta dishes. The pizza was just ok. My husband did love the mahi mahi. Service was attentive. Atmosphere was quite loud. I don't think we'll be back, unfortunately.
Always a great time at Max a Mia. They were extremely accommodating and patient with our large party and the food was incredible as always.

Outstanding lunch I'm the new location. Great ambience and service. Fresh fish was excellent. Wish they'd return our long time favorite penne ala butera to the menu! Well done on the renovation in the new space - only complaint is the hvac is a bit of a nuisance in the booths to the left of the bar.
A Max's devotee, this lunch was superb from beginning to end. Food was delicious, and prepared as requested. Service was outstanding, congenial and efficient. I think the new location is finding its stride and I am delighted!!
We had a delicious holiday luncheon in one of the private rooms today. The set up was great-big rectangle where we could all see each other and the service was amazing. The food was outstanding! Looking forward to going back!
We had a large gathering at Max a Mia and couldn’t be happier with our experience. Our table was set up in a private room which was perfect for us. The room is simple but has a very nice ambience and compliments the restaurant. Rebekah our server was very pleasant, attentive and was always there to fill our glasses before we had to ask. Her dinner suggestions were also spot on, we especially liked the scallop special, ribeye, eggplant lasagna, and ahi tuna. Rebekah also seamlessly addressed the gluten allergy for one of guests. Liz and the entire staff went above and beyond to make our visit exceptional from the delicious food to outstanding service. Don’t hesitate to book your special event here.
Great service! Excellent meal! New location is a bit noisier. I miss the cozier vibe of old location, but the coconut cake will keep me coming!
